In my opinion, everything was better at Chik Fil A, including the different dipping sauces (the Chik fil A sauce was the best) The chicken patty was juicier, thicker and overall more hardy with good flavoring. My spice tolerance is not very high, and this was just right. The waffle fries had a good chew factor and blended so well with the Garden Ranch sauce and their house sauce. Well fans of the chain know that little happy chicken anticipation feeling you get when you know you're about to eat here and that just doesn't happen. The quality of the chicken just isn't as good. Whether it's the spicy chicken sandwich, the tenders, or the cobb salad. The flavor is just off, the texture sometimes is too. I've been at different times, on different days, and it's consistently meh. The environment is definitely hectic, you enter into different doors for mobile orders vs. in person orders and the lines are still long, but they move fairly fast. They don't let you help yourself to sauce but they will give you however much of whatever you want if you ask. Napkins are all the way back by the front door instead of by the register or the tables and there's no way to spot them without asking - and they don't give them to you with your to-go order automatically. The employees are really nice like they are at every location and I always go out of my way to be super cheerful right back at them, it can't be easy doing that in the city, but I'm not coming back to this location because of the quality of the food. read more

Definitely come here instead of the other nearby location at the corner of 6th Ave and 46th St. This one's on 8th Ave between 54th St and 55th St just a few blocks South of Columbus Circle. This Chick Fil A is in a convenient location on 8th Ave. The set up inside is a little unique. You walk up the ramp to wait in line and order. I came during an off-peak meal time so I only waited a few minutes, but from other reviews, it looks like it can get pretty busy. Minor thing - I get they don't keep ketchup by the self-serve napkin area so non-customers won't take it, but I had to hold my drinks, 6 sauce packs, my receipt/credit card all in my hands as I walked away from the cashier. I think other locations put the sauces in the to-go bag? I don't know if they always operate that way, but it was cumbersome to hold everything. Napkins and straws are in the back by the door, nestled into the wall. The seats and tables were being cleaned frequently. Overall, the place is pretty clean.
