Way overpriced for their burgers. Shakes are very small and expensive too. They do give you plenty of fries, because it's a cheap product to offer. Go to a local pub and get a real burger. Staff were courteous and helpful but did forget an item that the wife ordered on her burger. Need more napkins available. Not sure how they get rave reviews, my guess they were from years ago when they first appeared on the scene. Not much decor for eye appeal. read more

Literally treated like trash, placed a rather large order for my fiancé and I while it was kind of slow, I work customer service so I get if something is messed up while it's super busy. I received attitude the whole time, app pick ups were taken care of right away while my fiancé and I stood for a good 10 minutes waiting on my order, finally built up the courage to ask for my order, person at the register walked away, talked to a guy, pointed at my food, they then decided to DROP my greasy bag on the counter and walked away. I by no means want anyone fired or written up so time frames and genders are kept in the gray. Honestly do better, this was my first experience and quite frankly rather drive up or down the strip for something cheaper that is not soggy. read more

I was immediately stunned by the prices on the menu--it felt like I was in an airport or amusement park. Fortunately, the dated accolades from franchise locations around the country, hung around their walls, haven't changed since I last visited in Washington State and California several years ago; one of those was an article from 2010 featuring their prices. The price of a cheeseburger increased by 60%, and the price of a hotdog by almost 70%! The consumer price index has increased 17% in the same amount of time. Compare these prices with an In-N-Out Double Double ($3.50) or a hotdog from Portillos ($3.09). There seem to be way too many people working, but that may be an effort to deliver a high service level while they work out the kinks. Regardless, I'll stick with the double cheeseburger from Carl's Ice Cream ($5.40). How many families do you think will return after their first meal costs $70? read more

I ordered online for a pickup inside. My burgers were ready on time, but instead of having my fries get cold in the bag, they had me wait a couple minutes until some fresh, hot fries could be served. Fantastic service!! Very much appreciated! The burgers were hot and juicy and toppings were just what we ordered. Fries, as always, were very good! We will be back again! read more

I had been to other Five Guys restaurants and was eager to check out the new location here in town. First of all, staff is very friendly and working as hard as they can to make customers happy. With that being said, I want to tell management that they should turn down the music inside, it is quite loud and in a large high-ceiling room, it's already hard enough to hear what people are saying with all of us wearing our masks. I placed my order and didn't look carefully enough at my receipt to see that it was wrong, again, a plastic Shield between me and the clerk and that loud music, a recipe for disaster. I will say this, french fries are as good as I remember them being! My burger was good as was my husband's hot dog even if they weren't exactly what we had wanted to eat but we were hungry and I didn't want to wait anymore to get the problem fixed. read more

I ordered a small single order and first off the guy behind the counter was more in-tuned to the guy yelling at the grill and he asked me to repeat my order. I then sat there for 20 minutes while they filled door dash and takeout orders and I had to ask where was mine. There's an order of things to be taken care of... Ordered a hamburger with lettuce wrap. Put everything on it with no extra charge. Very juicy, hot and delicious. Also ordered fries that were hot and over flowing on the bag. Staff was helpful. Got peanuts in a bag to have before dinner was done. My son got a peanut chocolate milk shake and he said it was great. read more

I recently moved back to Bloomington from being in Birmingham for a bit and I am so glad Five Guys is here! I would frequent the Five Guys off of Doug baker blvd and loved it and I am pleased to say the quality is the same here (that's not the case at all Five Guys locations). Very good food! I've never been there before this visit. The burgers are made to order and you add the toppings as you wish. I got the bacon cheeseburger and this things was massive. I got a larg fry to share with the husband and it was about a 24oz cup filled with fries and then extra fries tossed into the bag! I also got a bacon and chocolate shake. Holy crap was that good. I left stuffed! It's a little in the pricier region for a burger joint but totally worth it! Don't even get me started on the free peanuts! read more

Stopped by for lunch with my sister. When we opened the door, we could smell the seasoning and fresh meat frying. We both ordered little cheeseburgers and fries. The staff (9 of them) were ALL courteous and welcoming. The gentleman who gave us our bags made sure we knew they appreciated our business. Now the food! The burger was delicious and loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were some of the best fries I have had and were overflowing, spilling out of the container in the bag. Yes, the price is a little higher than many fast food chains, but the quality of the products make up for it. We will be back! read more

This place it worthless. I ordered online for carryout. 4 burger and 2 fries only for over $50. The website said my order would be ready in 8 minutes. I proceeded to the store only a few minute drive and clicked on the check in button. I then waited 45 min in the store for my order. I watched as they serve the walk in orders but all the online orders or door dash order get set to shelf above the french fries. I don't know what logic there is in making the burger for an order then placing it in a bag to sit for 20-40mins and then coming back to put fries in??? I would say it was under staffed but there were 6 people behind the counter and they were all wondering around like headless chickens. I don't blame them at all, they were pleasant but clearly lacking any supervision or management presence. Again how do I know this? Because I had almost and hour to watch and observe the goings on. I finally asked if they even had my order and they "found" it on the shelf above the frier. After my short drive home the fries were hot, but burger cold. We tried to call to have new burgers made but the phone was busy. Later we learned it was sitting off the hook(see picture). We returned to have new burgers made and again waited almost 20 mins. Again the burger sat on the "the self" awaiting fries???? I will not be eating at the Normal location ever again. Its too bad, I like there burgers but this place is worthless! read more

Overpriced, undermanaged, undercooked, underwhelming! Let me start by saying I've had GOOD Five Guys before. This place was an absolute trainwreck. No less than 16 people working behind the counter to handle maybe 25 customers in the store. After paying $35 for the wife and I (two fast food burgers, fries and drinks), we waited ten minutes to get the food. What the heck were those 16 people doing??? You'd think food would come out in record time with employees standing three deep at each station! My double cheeseburger was actually a one-and-a-half burger... the top patty was a half... see photo. Bottom patty was unevely cooked, with about 25% of it very pink (not what you want in a fast food place). Fries were greasy, soggy and limp. Super brightly lit, almost gas station like, steril decor. Loud music and chaotic noise from behind the counter just cranked up the stressful environment. Very disappointed. The next time we want to drop $35 for two cheeseburgers, we're going to The Pub or Schooners or even Red Robin where we can enjoy a real burger and fries AND table service in a much more relaxing environment. read more

I ordered pick up delivery from five guys in normal. Considering this place is supposed to be known for their burgers, it was not very satisfactory. The burger buns were kind of soggy, the fries were okay. I asked for pickle on the burger and didn't get it. We waited for the order for over 30 minutes. I don't like bad reviews, but this was not worthy the around $30 spent here. I'd try another place for a better burger. read more

Horrible experience! I have loved Five Guys in several locations throughout the country but this was not a good experience. We ordered through Door Dash and they left out a burger from our order. Nothing wrong with food or service at all. Burgers are good however I just can't understand paying 3 times what you can get at an actual steakhouse like Jim's or a local bar n grill for lunch.
