I visit this Five Guys regularly, and this was my first time being helped by Mylai H. She asked all the required questions and mentioned the promotions, but the overall interaction just felt off. Her tone seemed rushed, and she didn't come across as very friendly or personable. There wasn't anyone else in the restaurant at the time, although I understand there may have been pickup or online orders that needed attention. Even with that in mind, I felt like I was being rushed through the ordering process rather than welcomed as a customer. One of the reasons I keep coming back to this location is because the staff is usually upbeat, engaging, and makes the experience enjoyable, so this visit stood out for the wrong reasons. I'm not saying she was rude, but there was definitely a lack of warmth and customer engagement. My suggestion would be to remind staff that while it's important to ask about add-ons, promotions, and other menu items, the delivery matters just as much. I also don't like when they take your order with gloves on. You have to pay close attention and make sure they change them, which should be a rule. Before you take an order discard gloves. Customers can tell when those questions are being asked because they're part of the job versus when they're being asked with genuine enthusiasm and good customer service. Have never been to this 5 Guys location before. Sometimes I get a craving for one of their burgers and this day just happened to me one such occasion. When I arrived I parked on the side of the building since they don't have any parking in front. There were not many people in line so I was able to place my order quickly. I just wanted a little cheeseburger a regular fries and a regular drink. Total came to a little bit more than twenty four dollars. I didn't remember how expensive it was. While waiting for my order to be ready I went over to fill my drink I noticed the floor was very slippery. It had been raining off and on all day so maybe that was why. I have to keep it 100 - this visit was disappointing. I wanted to order the grilled cheese + add a patty. When I ordered it, the female cashier told me I couldn't. I showed her on the app how I could in fact order it, and she told me "it's a patty melt". OK, so much for what I wanted. I also ordered a large fries for the 4 of us - and if you know Five Guys fry philosophy, I was expecting a HUGE portion of fries. Rather, I received what I'd consider a typical Medium fries order - not heaping and overflowing, as my typical fries are. The patty melt was OK - not as good as the grilled cheese with patty as I have ordered every visit during the past 5 years. Fried were tasty, but not plentiful (I had to apologize to our guests on the quantity). I hope we hit it on a bad night, as if this is what the location is coming to - I'll no longer frequent it. Stopped in for a quick lunch. This was the only place we could agree on. The restaurant is clean and the service was fast. My only complaint is the fries were too generously salted, but they quickly corrected that. Great service recovery. My girlfriend and I come to this Five Guys location in Owings Mills all the time, and we genuinely have to say this is one of the best-run locations we've ever been to. The manager here is absolutely incredible. She treats every customer with respect, remembers regulars, maintains cleanliness in the restaurant very well and goes above and beyond to make sure orders are done right and that the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine is always full and prepped. We always order our fries well done and crispy, and she makes sure it's done perfectly every time. On 8/2/13, family and friends did a second annual simple annual bday dinner for my big bro!! The staff was a lot of fun and weren't so annoyed with our large group and antics. One worker was even willing to take a few pics of the group!! We shut the place down!! There is plenty of parking for this location as it is located in a shopping center with many other great businesses!! Considering I have changed my eating lifestyle and been doing pretty healthy clean eating this was my cheat meal!! AND BOY WAS IT WORTH ALL THE HARD WORK AND DEDICATION!! Lol! I got a little bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, green peppers, and mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles! Of course I ordered fries to go with it but split those with a friend so it wouldn't be a crazy overindulgence! Every single bit was yum!!! I got a courtesy cup so that I could just stick to water, but they have the awesome coco-cola machines that let you choose your favorite soda and make it whatever your desired flavor! I don't normally do sodas but this time I had a small cup t complete my meal and 2 cups of water to help was it all down! This location apparently closes whenever it feels like it, yet the store claims it's open 7 days from 11-10pm.
