Coronavirus? No worries! Five guys to the rescue! In the past 2 weeks I've driven past this 5G a handful of times, and each time noticed the huge OPEN sign in the window as well as the lit neon sign in the window. Yesterday I needed victuals after leaving the nearby Dollar Tree, so I swung around 5G. They looked dead. Then I saw the lit neon sign, and parked my car. A young lady unlocked the front door, stuck her head out and told me they were taking online orders only. I said, "Can I just tell you what I want?" She replied, "Sure, just give me a minute." She went back inside, got a notepad and came back to about six feet from my window. I gave her my order; she returned inside. While I waited, a few other cars pulled up and she delivered the orders to their cars. I waited perhaps a total of 10 minutes, and the same gal -- Alexis, according to my receipt -- brought my order out to me. It was a touch-free transaction. It's a five guys. You know what you're in for. Wasn't busy at all when I walked in around 515pm on a Wednesday. The food was as expected, got a crap ton of extra fries in the bag with that good ghetto grease on it letting you know both your taste buds and your cholesterol numbers are in for a wild ride. Employees weren't very friendly at all, they did their jobs and were not mean or anything. Just took the order and filled it. No conversation or small talk/niceties or anything. If they were slammed I'd understand however I was literally the only customer in there. Period. read more

I always get the Little burger, because the regular burgers come with double patties! And the fries??? Real cut potatoes, hot and delicious, overflowing portions! Thus was my first time going to the store and its definitely a 9/10 the service and food were amazing. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with all the fixing and the staff didn't miss a beat. What can I say, Five Guys is one of the better fast food burger places around. I usually get the small burger if I'm getting fries. If I share an order of fries I will go with the regular. This location is clean. The food came out quick. The staff was nice. There is a lot of competition around since it is close to the mall. Usually when I have came in around lunch or a little after it hasn't been to crazy. Not sure how it is all the time. Like all others if you have a peanut allergy you may need to stay away. They do have boxes of peanuts everywhere to snack on. read more

If you're a resident of Virginia and haven't eaten at Five Guys yet, hit yourself over the head with a hammer! Seriously, Five Guys was founded in the Commonwealth. History lesson time! Five Guys Burgers & Fries was founded in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell. Jerry and his 4 sons (Matt, Jim, Chad, and Ben) made up the original "Five Guys." Jerry, being the old sailor that he is, had a fifth son (Tyler) and now the current "Five Guys" are all 5 sons. They opened up their first store in Northern Virginia, specifically the affluent county of Arlington, VA. Nobody loves a burger like a useless federal employee. Does this guy know his target market or what? When I first walked into Five Guys I immediately thought of my beloved In-N-Out. In fact I almost did a double-take they were so similar. Even down to the way the employees dressed. They had eerily similar menus as well. Both places offer just the basics: burgers, fries, and drinks. No fish or chicken sandwiches, no salads, no parfait bullshit, and especially no weird seasonal anomaly like the McRib. What you see is what you get - FRESH ingredients, a courteous staff, and a little bit of a wait. They may have blatantly ripped off the In-N-Out model but this is nothing new or original. Back in the 1950's ALL burger joints looked like this. The ingredients were fresh, the hamburger meat wasn't frozen, and people loved it. This model works because IT SHOULD HAVE STAYED THIS WAY. All the big burger chains (McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, etc.) are corporate giants now. It's all about cost and maximum profitability and not about the "product" anymore. Since when is FOOD a product anyway? The price of a Five Guys burger is higher than average and people are happy to pay it. Paying $2 more for a burger that's made FRESH is worth every penny. Behind the counter they wore masks and gloves for cooking. The tables were set up to have social distance. And there were two tables set up with no chairs to allow for ease for the wheelchair. We stopped in tonight to get a quick bite. The entire crew tonight was one of the best cohesive crew of youngsters. They each were doing there job and seemed to rotate with helping out on the grill, answering the phone and the register. It wasn't a busy night but you guys rock. I understand the inflation issues we have upon us but, damn $9.29 for the little bacon cheeseburger. If you are going to charge premium prices please have quality toppings. The past several years I haven't eaten at a fast food restaurant, except for KFC. I love KFC. This year has been a little different. I've eaten at a few fast food restaurants and I review them when I can. Today, more out of boredom than hunger, I visited a Five Guys burger joint. The interior has retro colors and designs, and I like the look. But, looks aren't everything. What about the food? Because I don't need to eat high caloric food I carefully ordered a "Little Hamburger" with all the extras, a "Little" sized fries, and a chocolate milkshake. It took a rather long time for my food to be prepared. The place was not busy, I did not stand in line, there were two other people ahead who already had their order, and it still took nearly ten minutes to get my food. Granted, I did request fries with no salt, and that may have slowed things down since they may have had to fry some up just for me, I don't know. The "Little Hamburger" with all the extras was as big as any hamburger I'd ever want to eat. It tasted quite good. I don't think I have any complaints about the hamburger. The milkshake was also very nice. I enjoyed it a lot, especially since it was a hot day. It didn't upset my stomach like BK's milkshakes (the reason I stopped ordering them years ago). It was pretty good. The fries....well, I ordered "Little" fries - the smallest amount possible. They're delivered in a paper bag with a hilariously small cup meant to hold the fries. The cup held about one tenth of th e fries I was given. Tons of fries! More fries than I really needed or expected. Sounds great, but the fries were not. These fries needed something. I used vinegar, because I like vinegar on fries, but ketchup would have worked, too. Good fries are good with nothing extra on them. These were barely edible unless something was put on them. No real flavor. Sorry, that's the way they were. Now you know why it's two stars, one for the burger and one for the milkshake. Minus one and a half for slow service, and another one and a half for really bad fries. Five Guys, you need to up your french fry game and streamline the process for getting food to your customers. You've got something here, but it needs tweaking. read more

I was craving those Five Guys fries so we made a little trip to this Five Guys. The restaurant is big and it was very well kept and clean! Once we walked in all the staff greeted us. We ordered and our food came out quickly! I always get the little burgers because even the little burgers are big and they always give you fries overflowing out of the container - score! Look, this is still one of the best burgers and fries around, but now (3/8/2022) that the price for a hamburger (no cheese), regular fries and regular soft drink is $20.65 with tax I can no longer support such a business. Then add in the tip jar AND a question on the CC screen asking how much tip you want to add and I can't pay those prices any more. This has gotten really ridiculous. Tonight was my first Five Guys experience and I couldn't figure out what all the rage was about. The Bacon Cheeseburger I ordered with Grilled Onions and Mushrooms was an inexpensive $5.79 and was ready quickly, but the cheese was slightly over powering. Other than that no complaints. I also ordered a side of fries and was disappointed that they are not blanched, leaving you with a starchy, limp, brown fry. Regardless, the place was clean, quick, and not too costly. Every Five Guys has been a good experience and this one does not disappoint. The day I visited the music playing over the speakers was on point. I've found that if you get burgers for take out (its hard not to eat them on the way home) and you leave the burgers sealed up, they get even more delicious having had time to marinate in the wrapper. I honestly just don't get the hype behind this place. Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because their fries are good and they give you a very generous portion. $7 for a hamburger that was given to me on an ice cold bun and the cheese was ice cold. My burger patty wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese. When we asked for ones that were actually hot, the front cashier was more worried about making sure we threw away the old ones. Quite possibly the best Five Guys around - I love this place and have been to quite a few. Staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Fries were perfectly prepared and burger very tasty. Most of these places leave your clothes a little smelly, but it's not a problem here. Great food, great staff, great environment. Well i have to say that i was very disappointed in the food for the price, very pricey, over 17.00...both hamburgers were greasy and the french fries were absolutely terrible , they were not crispy instead they were saturated in oil and very limp..Sorry but we won't go back there again..Change your grease it taste old and make your fries better and your hamburger not so greasy.., had terrible heartburn all night..Ugh! read more

4 of us ate, 3 single, 1 double cheeseburgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks, (we shared drinks & fries due to price), bill was still $37. Food was good & hot but there is no value for your money. I would five them more stars for taste but I'm taking some away for being way too expensive. With a Steak & Shake across the street & a cook out next door, I don't think they'll last a year unless they lower prices. read more
