    Size of bag for fries

Wow. I find Five Guy's expensive. But it's what my granddaughter requested for lunch. Today made the expense even more of a disappointing reality. I ordered regular fries. I get to my granddaughters school and in the bag the fries are packaged in a McDonald's type paper bag (picture attached) and barely "overflowing" as they normally do. Overall size was less than a kids size fry. Guess Five Guy's is off my list.

The french fries tasted like they were cooked in "burnt" oil, and the burger was flavorless. The "free" peanuts was the best part.

Steak & Sabor was delicious and delicious! Popped into Steak and Sabor after seeing it on my Yelp…read morerecommend and it did not disappoint! The service was phenomenal with our server being so kind to walk us through the menu and make multiple recommendations. We decided on the pork arepa and the steak platter which came with 2 sides, we got the fries and yucca. The steak was extremely tender and flavorful but the Arepa stole the show for me, filled with cheese and veggies. It was juicy, crunchy and just a perfect balance. A fried cornmeal patty with a fun filling may become my new go to thats how good it was. They also have some nice house sauces, one spicy and one mild which definitely elevates the dishes! My favorite was the mild green sauce which had a lovely herby undertone. The restaurant itself has a good mix of bar seating and low top tables, it was a bit cold inside when we walked in but they had a nice electric fireplace going which made the space very cozy. Definitely give this place a shot and try the Arepa! It is also definitely big enough for two if you want to try something else!

The greeter was as expected, very pleasant. The menu offered is a bit more limited than the previous establishment, absent my favorite, Cachapa, as well as drinks such as chicha and Parchita. I opted for the chicken patacon made with green plantains and the fried yuccas. The patacon was flavored well, though smaller than what I'm accustomed to. The yuccas were crispy on the exterior and soft on the inside. All in all. Not a bad experience. And while I most likely won't go out of my way visit, would definitely visit if I was in the area.

This was our first visit to Charred and will quickly say we had a nice meal. Now I will say that…read moreI've round up my overall star rating. If I could I would have given it 4 1/2 stars, because it was good but not great but definitely well enough not to drop it to a 4. Let's start with the location: very nice and everything seems real clean and cared for. Even the men's room was decent at 6:00 pm at night. Now our server: Sidney was very attentive to us. She took very good care of us during our stay. Now the meal: Again it was good. The wifey had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. She tells me the sauce had a nice flavor but the chicken really had no flavor. Certainly not a Blackened flavor you would expect. The chicken itself was good and tender. As for me I had Shrimp and Grits. It also was good. It had onions and peppers in it and again the flavor of the onions and peppers just want there. Who knows. We also had the Brick Oven Brie. There was a really nice amount of Brie. So much that the toasted bread ran out way before the Brie. So as I said this was a good place and meal despite my small hits in this review. I firmly recommend this place because I do expect you to have a nice meal. Ps. To the owners: your link to your website doesn't work via Yelp. To potential customers: you will have to go your search engine and find the Charred site.

We thought…read morewe were going to have to wait for a while, but we were pleasantly surprised that the patio was open on a first-come, first-served basis, so we sat outside. It was a pretty nice evening with a light breeze. It was perfect, since they had over-the-top heaters and then a beautiful heater that came on at the end of the patio. We started out by ordering some old-fashioned drinks to sip, and they were amazing! Beautifully made and spot on with the flavor. For food, we decided to order from the three-course dinner menu. My husband started with a steakhouse wedge salad, and I had the chicken tortilla soup. Wow, both were so yummy. My husband could not say enough about his salad. My soup was bursting with flavor and full of chicken. And because we apparently needed to be extra, we had to order the lobster spinach queso because it sounded amazing, which it certainly was. It was full of lobster, spinich and pepper jack cheese!!! For the entree, my husband had the wood-grilled chicken, and I ordered the grilled salmon and shrimp. He said the entree was incredible. He loved the mushrooms and tomatoes grilled on top and especially raved about the parmesan mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. My grilled salmon and shrimp were spot on. The shrimp were thick, and the salmon was grilled to perfection. Both were topped with a light aji amarillo sauce that was fantastic together. To me, the ancient grains pilaf topped the whole thing off, the salmon with the pilaf and sauce were a perfect three-piece combo that had me wanting more and more with each bite. For dessert, we both ordered the petite creme brulee cheesecakes. At this point, I was bursting, but the gorgeous vision in front of me could not be wasted!!!! The cheesecake had a perfect light crunch on top and paired beautifully with the fruit and dollop of whipped cream on the plate. Our server was kind and prompt with our food, even when she seemed very busy. Overall, it was fantastic, and we have plans to return.

Maria was great and honest with suggestions offered us a sample of the signature drink before ordering. Grateful for that since it was different (forgot the name). Food: Of course I order salmon and shrimp from the 3-course meal menu The salmon was SALTY AF.....cook must had forgot it was seasoned cuz geezuz.... I flipped it over and ate from the bottom and it was ok. Broccoli was overcooked to what I like it was rather mushy bit edible. Starters- Philly Cheese Steak rolls......little spicy but good Drink: lemonade drop....delicious I would go back and do happy hour, I feel like that could be a vibe.
