S.O.B. Burger: chipotle mayo, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onions, jalapeños, crispy, tortilla strips, and American cheese.

Great burgers! Don't be fooled by any lack of presentation. Great flavors here! Awesome customer service! Friendly, accommodating. The dining area was a very clean, bright environment. Back to the flavors for just a moment... There's obviously Texas roots or influence going on here. That is meant in the best way. The flavors in the burger builds offered, the shiner box in the cooler, and the fried pickles were a pretty good giveaway. We had the burgers and the fried pickles and they were both on point! Will be going back ASAP!

This might be the most average burger I have ever had. It tasted like absolutely nothing, despite it having blue cheese, caramelized onions, and a balsamic glaze. The fries (not pictured) were completely devoid of salt. The Bacon burger was similar to a McDonald's burger, and honestly lack luster and disappointing for a fast casual burger exclusive joint. The service was fine, considering it is just ordering at a counter. I would rather save a couple bucks and just go to a fast food place, or spend the same amount somewhere else for a better burger.

Some friends suggested this spot for lunch today, and I then recalled how it had been many years since I've dined here. Upon entering there was a pungent smell of bleach and cleaning products, which I guess I can be thankful to know they have prioritized cleanliness, but I'll admit is was a little overpowering. I was also shocked when visiting the restroom that they had plug in air fresheners. So it's clear this business takes their cleaning and freshness serious. The decor is pretty basic and doesn't give much of a vibe. Pretty standard wallpaper, booths, and tables, but a weird green bubble wall behind the soda machines. Nonetheless, it was all clean. Lots of families were inside dining, but admittedly it's pretty pricey as burgers don't come with sides or drinks. So, this can add up quickly for a family dining. You order at the counter and that's really the most interaction you'll have with the staff. They give you a table number and bring the food out when ready, but service is limited as it's more so self service beyond the counter and one-time table visit to bring the food. The food was great though. I was shocked they didn't ask what temp or doneness you want the burgers cooked to, but thankfully seemed to be medium well to well ish. I ordered the BBQ bacon burger and added a small fry. Clearly the fries are huge and definitely shareable. My friends ordered a large fry and onion rings. So much food - one large fry would have been more than sufficient for the table. The burger was fresh and reminded me of a fresher, better, local version of Red Robin's Whiskey River burger. Definitely recommend. To no fault of the restaurant the fries definitely taste better when first coming out and being super hot. They kinda get hard as they get cold, so talk and eat wisely for the best experience! Overall, glad I had the opportunity to revisit this business after many years, and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a good burger in the west end.

The menu. I ordered build your own- the bison meat was so good. My partner got the SOB and he loved it.

Came here for lunch and got the blue burger and parm fries. The burger had onions, blue cheese, and a wine glaze. The melted blue cheese, onions, and wine sauces paired very well together. The fries itself were very average, it lacked flavor however the portion size was very generous which I loved. Burger was ~$11 and fries were ~$5. It felt like a higher end of a five guys. The inside looked very nice and the staff was friendly. I would definitely come back again. 8/10

Did not expect much from this local chain. However I walked out with a full belly of burger, fries & shake that was darn good. Parking is easy to access off the main road and plenty of parking that was clean. The walk up to the door was also debris free. There are several tables in front and side for outdoor seating. All the tables were cleared. Inside it's spacious with booth seating on the perimeter, tables and chairs in the center. Drinks are self serve. Ordering is up front with the line to the right of the long wall along the exterior windows. My visit on a Saturday afternoon found them with light business. Many of the customers opted for outdoor dining. The wait was not long to place orders. The large menu board makes it easy. I had a BBQ burger and fries. My son a bacon cheese burger and chocolate shake. They do offer veggie burgers too! Total was around $30 with tax. So do expect to spend about with a Five Guys would be. A number is given to place on the table., Our party of 10 sat inside in the center of the restaurant. I don't recall any music, but that's a good thing for me in large groups to hear better. The decor is very plain. Within 10 minutes or so orders were coming out. Everything is served in metal baskets. The shakes were delicious but challenging to drink through a thin straw. My burger was presented nicely and excellent with everything fresh! I estimate a 1/3 lb. Others had loaded fries, sweet potato fries, tots and various burgers. Everyone agreed that they enjoyed. Customers bus their own tables. I would recommend and come back.

They have a very limited menu at lunch so you have a few appetizers to choose from, a few salads and sandwiches and burgers, so straight up American food. It does skew southern with crab cake sandwich, pimento cheese and fried chicken. For an appetizer we decided to try the wings. They were good and came with ranch drizzled over the wings. For entrees my husband got their farm & oak burger with Cole slaw and I got their wedge salad with fried chicken. Both were good. The salad was nice and cold and crisp, which was appreciated on such a hot day. It did have too much dressing so next time I might ask for less dressing or have it on the side. I enjoyed the food, service was good and it is a pretty restaurant. I'll probably come back for supper some time to try some of their more in-depth meals.

A party of two ate well and was satisfied with the amount and quality of our meals. The first meal was steak and eggs. Without prompting I heard how well seasoned the flatiron steak was. I switched the mixed vegetables for spinach and garlic. Good choice. The spinach was fresh and sauteed with onions. Didn't care for the gravy on potatoes. Can't tell whether the off flavor was the gravy or the potatoes. My surprise was the appetizer. I chose turkey chilli that was so good. It was full body flavor with cooked beans and chopped veggies, which didn't take away from the chilli flavor. It was very good. I could have this for my main meal. So good. The place was clean and everything is well presented. The menu contains so many choices, from french-pressed coffees, to lattes, fresh juices, pancakes, waffles and sandwiches. They even have vegan options which I thoroughly enjoy. The vegan pancakes are the best in the area but bring a hearty appetite for real. The first time we visited, our waitress was Dasia. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy, she greeted us with a warm smile and great attitude. She took the time to explain the menu and offer suggestions. We started with the french pressed coffee and drinks and hot cinnamon rolls. For breakfast we ordered the vegan pancakes and sub eggs, pavo cubano and berry chocolate pancakes with eggs. I might try again since I like the atmosphere and the service- and the fact that they do French press with lots of selections. Don't waste your money on the special lobster avocado toast though - it is not worth the extra money! Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. D'Asia got us a table outside even though they hadn't been seating out there yet because of a potential for rain. We got no rain and it was a nice day to sit outside. Inside is clean, bright and has maybe a minimalist modern farmhouse vibe. Menu has a decent amount of selection without being overwhelming with some unique looking opportunities. Cons: My friend ordered the classic eggs Benedict and I got one of the lobster specials- the lobster avocado toast. Not sure how long these specials are around . I asked for the eggs over medium and the toast to be extra crispy because avocado toast is not good when it's all soggy. When I got my order it seemed like the multigrain bread did not get toasted at all- maybe it was lightly toasted at one point, but it certainly was never crispy and there were no toast marks on it. There was not a lot of flavor to the toppings so I was hoping that it would save the whole thing but it was just kind of a soggy mess and frankly the lobster was kind of fishy. Also, the eggs were not done over medium as I requested. I could've gotten over this if the meal itself was any good but it was all pretty disappointing. I think if I ever dare to order the avocado toast here at some point I will definitely ask for the toast on the side lol When I asked to substitute the greens, which comes as a side automatically but costs $3.50 if added I was told potatoes were the only option to be subbed. I wanted some more protein so asked about subbing bacon and just paying the extra .25 over what the potatoes cost as a side (4.50) but was told I'd have to pay for it is as a separate side entirely, which is $4.75. No turning point is probably not the only restaurant doing this but it's pretty frustrating and unexplainable as to why I don't get at least the $3.50 credit that the greens would be. Or how about you just take the greens off and I get $3.50 back lol. D'Asia was kind enough to offer me an alternative by getting crushed bacon on top of my avocado toast for a dollar extra which I was glad I did because it was definitely needed to help with the flavor on the toast! And D'Asia was kind enough tonight charge me the extra dollar in the end. Unfortunately, I still got served the greens anyways which I was trying to avoid since cyclaspora is a thing these days My friends classic egg Benedict was just ok. She did find a hair in it, but she couldn't swear it wasn't hers because it was a windy day. Finally, it was troubling that there was absolutely zero toilet paper in the women's bathroom. Which we did didn't realize of course, until we went to look for it. There were only two stalls and we were both out of luck.

We sat in our booth for over 15 minutes before anyone brought water. Another 5 minutes passed before our waitress came to take our order. To be clear, when we arrived, only 4 tables inside including ours were occupied. By the time we finished eating, we were the only patrons inside, with just two tables outside being served by someone else entirely. When we finished eating we waited. We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Our waitress never came. My partner had to go up to the bar to ask for to-go boxes and our check. Not okay. Here's the thing: our waitress wasn't rude, and she got our order exactly right. The problem wasn't her. It was management. Wherever the manager was last night, I never saw them. Was it their night off? Fine, but if you know your team is short-staffed, you plan for it. And if the restaurant wasn't actually short-staffed and this is just the standard level of service, that's a different, more concerning problem. Now, the food. This deserves its own paragraph because it was genuinely good. I had the Deluxe deep-dish, and it delivered. Every bite had a satisfying crunch, the toppings tasted fresh, and the sauce wasn't sweet, which I appreciated. The crust hit that ideal balance of crispy edges and a cheese pull that was fully cooked through. My partner had the Meatziah (I think that's the name), and it was excellent. My son ordered the classic and gave it a 5 out of 5, which is a huge deal coming from a notoriously picky eater. The appetizers matched the entrees. The waffle-cut nacho potatoes were outstanding: perfectly cooked, loaded with amazing bacon, and topped with a chili sauce that built a slow heat in the back of your throat in the best way. The mozzarella sticks were surprisingly great too. The food earns 4-5 stars on its own. But the service, and more specifically the apparent absence of leadership, is dragging this down. If we come back, it'll be for takeout only. IF.
