It's four years since I reviewed this place, and most of what I said about it has not really changed. And in fact, what I've said about other Five Guys locations where I've eaten applies here too. So in this update I can't say a lot. But one of the things that needs to be said is that it is no longer really a low-cost place to eat. A burger, fries, and a fountain drink today took $12 -- less a few cents -- from me, and though there is no need to tip, that's still a pretty hefty amount. It's Five Guys, they follow the same model and system in place. The menu is simple, the service is quick, and the staff is always cool. A "Little Cheeseburger" is more than enough to satisfy your burger fix, no need to go with a double patty, one patty is plenty enough with a small Cajun fries, the small is definitely an abundant amount and can easily be shared by two people. If you're a young person dinning for two can get pricey, so make sure your date doesn't go all out and order double patty burger with bacon and fries for themselves, that just means she's trying to gouge you bro! Take you for all of your allowance monies! Anywho, with that said, Five Guys is a treat that you go to every once in a while, so while you're here, treat yo' self. read more

Mehh, I gave Five Guys another chance, but still unimpressed. Burger and fries were average at best, and quite over-priced. I really do not see why people rave about Five Guys. The restaurant was equally in impressive with wet, slippery floors. Repeated toppings twice, still were wrong. read more

DEAR MANAGER - your cashier is steaing. I came on Saturday, May 27 around 3pm. My total was $7, and I gave the cashier on duty $20. He gave me $8 in change back. When he saw the look on my face said "oh forgot, here's another $5." I saw him do it to several other customers. read more

The Five Guys at Rockville center, MD really needs to step up in its customer service. The staff who take order needs training in how they treat their customers. Shouting at customers and be impatient to listen is not one of the trait of good customer service. More over they serve greasy, uncooked fried and not very testy burger. Step up! read more

Love Five Guys and love having it so close to home (okay, maybe my waistline does not). This location is clean and the staff is friendly. Standard bucket of peanuts available + good amount of seating. I'm a big fan of the little cheeseburger with fries to share. It's plenty for a hungry person! Grilled onions are awesome. read more

My friend said that Five-Guys was the Maryland In-n-Out of California. So I had to try it! Let me tell you.. Although Five-Guys has a lot of toppings to choose from and what not.. In-n-Out just does burgers right without the fancy stuff! I'm glad I got to try this place because now I appreciate what great burgers I have in California! I had the Little Cheeseburger with some toppings. There's a list of free toppings you can get (onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, etc.). You have to tell them what you want on your burger when you order. Also got a small order of Cajun fries which were greasy & yummy. Honestly, I heard about how great this place was and was expecting the best burger ever. It's a good burger, but nothing spectacular. The Rockville Town Center Five Guys is a pretty quick bite to eat. It's probably the fastest food you'll find in the town center. Staff is nice and even remembered my order since I've gone here to eat before my art class across the street each week. The restaurant is always clean and food is quickly prepared. I had to get to know Five Guys in 2 steps: first, with their fries, which are so good. Yes, greasy too, but it's no gourmet place. The portions are huge, though. The regular size can feed at least 2-3 people easily. They're simple, hot, fresh. The second step was with their burger- again, simple and fresh. For a chain (however small), it's excellent. Way better than the mass-produced and over-processed stuff they sell at certain other establishments. It's not a very vegetarian-friendly place, as there is no veggie-burger. There is a grilled cheese sandwich that I got once, and it was sort of a mess. Also if you have a peanut allergy this hamburger might be your last- there are free peanuts for everyone. Price: Good burgers at cheap prices. Service/Staff: No Frills, No angst, no need to think...don't bug them or it will take longer for you to fill your piehole. Bottom line: Good burgers, good fries, good prices at a chain where you can eat peanuts and unabashedly toss the shell on the floor...but most importantly no stupid, creepy clown or some king to bug ya while you eat. We hav eaten at five Guys in the past and liked it,but yesterday we went to your store on Conneticut Ave in Silver Spring..it was dingy and smelled bad so we left without eating there,,they were not busy..we went next door to Panera which was very busy..clean and a pretty place. read more

right in the heart of rockville town center, next to a clothing store. this place is quick, the food is great, unlimited toppings, yes! peanuts, check! to eat before your meal comes. I love their burgers, always so juicy. the bun is sweet, and delicious, my favorite, i really like the griddled onions, tomatoes, and lettuce, oh yeah the mushrooms were delicious too. the cajun fries i cant get enough of. its clean as well. read more

The spanish lady at the counter couldn't have messed up my order than she did. Put wrong sauce and added cheese and charged me for It. This is after I corrected her twice on other toppings. She and two other staff were really loud. All I could hear is their loud laughter. I don't understand why there is a person at the register if she can't even pay enough attention to take an order. I could barely hear her. What portion of her wage is actually reflecting her productivity? Terrible staff. read more

I order a bacon cheeseburger the lady forgets to cook bacon with burger hands me cold cooked bacon in foil for me to put on my burger I shouldn't have to eat my burger with cold bacon!! Five Guys is the most overrated burger place and possibly most overrated food establishment in the area and possibly ever. I hate american cheese and i hate well done meat. It is juicy but burgers are meant to be made to order. I could see raving about this place maybe if the burgers were cooked over an open flame but theyre cooked on a flat top which is just a huge frying pan. there hot dogs are good especially with bacon. But burgers are the main attraction here and theyre not the best. Anyone who tries to compare this place to In-N-Out Burger doesnt know what theyre talking about. BGR and Urban Burger are way better but its hard to compare them when five guys has hundreds of locations and the other two have like one each. Me or anyone else is better off going home and throwing some ground beef in a skillett and making something better. read more

Let me tell you about this place. Food is always priority when you go to a place for food but to me, what is most important is the people and they get a 10/10 for me. The people here are the loveliest, there is not a day where they are not smiling and where they are not making me smile. They are the kindest and best five guys I've ever been too. I've been struggling with a lot this past year and they alone have been kind enough to cheer me up each day I'm there. They all deserve raises and promotions for what they do each day. They are great people, each and everyone of them and I wish I could do more for them then tip them. read more

Very in happy. I ordered a simple cheeseburger. When I got home I opened the burger and there was bacon on it. I don't eat bacon due to religious and basic nutritional reasons. I threw the burger away. Two days later I went back because I was in the area to notify them of their mistake. The girl at the counter Maria said she didn't care and it wasn't her problem. I asked to see a manager on a SATURDAY and there was not one working. Really? Maybe if the manager stepped up and fulfilled their position as MANAGER they could pull their act together. But my bad experience doesn't stop. After asking Maria for the corporate number she slammed her hands on the counter and threw them up in the at and said I don't know. She then waved the next customer in line to step up. I called the feedback hotline on Monday, it is now Wednesday and I still haven't heard back. So I decided to call the corporate number in Richmond and TWICE someone picked up and hung up. I'm very disappointed. read more
