I've always been a fan of this burger chain even if a meal provides enough calories to carry you for 3 days. Obviously I couldn't come here every day, or even once a month, but on occasion this restaurant serves-up awesome red meat hamburgers and fries that are delicious but not the type of food you would want to consume regularly. I arrived here after checking out a flea market in the adjoining plaza, and they were just opening-up and getting started. I brought enough cash to pay for the two meals so there were no excuses to go all out today. I ordered the regular (huge) hamburger with a medium sized fries which was plenty. I maintained some decorum by only getting water this time. The burger was quite the creation. The fries too were consumed by the both of us in a matter of fifteen minutes. Great stuff! read more

Dear Five Guys Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at one of your Five Guys locations in 130 Gibbs St Rockville MD I have been a longtime customer, which is why this experience was particularly frustrating and concerning. However, the customer service was excellent. Staff is very friendly. First, I ordered a regular hamburger and little fries. At no point did the cashier, Kelly B., inform me that I could make my order a meal by adding a drink and getting small fries for only $5.99. Had I been made aware of this option, I would have gladly chosen it because it would have provided me with a drink for only a small additional cost. As a customer, I believe employees should make customers aware of available meal options when those options could provide a better value for essentially the same order. I was disappointed to discover this only after I had already sat down and started eating. More importantly, I was extremely concerned by what I observed while waiting for my food to be prepared. The employees working in the back were talking excessively and loudly over the food they were preparing. One of the employees was preparing my food while engaged in this conversation. I was standing there watching the food being handled while the employees were talking directly over it, and neither appeared to be wearing a face covering. Regardless of current mask requirements, talking excessively over food that is actively being prepared is extremely concerning from a hygiene and food-safety standpoint. Customers should be able to feel confident that their food is being prepared in a clean and sanitary manner whether this is in person or delivery. There is an obvious concern about respiratory droplets or saliva potentially contaminating food when employees are talking directly over it. Seeing this happen to the food I was about to eat made me extremely uncomfortable. I understand that employees need to communicate with one another while working, but there should be appropriate standards regarding conversations around exposed food. Employees should not be carrying on loud or excessive conversations directly over food while preparing customers' orders. I am asking Five Guys to please take this complaint seriously and investigate what happened. Specifically, I would appreciate management reviewing the food-preparation practices at this location, reinforcing proper hygiene and food-handling procedures with the staff, and addressing the customer-service issue regarding employees informing customers about available meal options and pricing for upscale. As a longtime customer, I expect better from Five Guys. I should not have to question whether my food was prepared in a sanitary environment, nor should I have to discover after paying that there was a significantly better-value meal option that was not explained to me. I appreciate you taking the time to review my concerns and hope this feedback is helpful in improving the customer experience and maintaining proper food-handling standards. It's 5 Guys so don't expect much. However, this location has better service. I dined in , as I dont recommend carry out. Fries are only good when you are there. However,. I'm not too keen on them. Yes, they are more fresh, but no crisp. They lose their form quickly. Shakes are good. I usually get a kids burger as I'm a light eater. 5 guys ain't cheap either. I've been to this location a few times in the last year. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Haven't had any issues with errors in the hamburger (you tell them what toppings you want from a long list of options -you can get as few or as many as you want - and my order is always correct.) I usually get a Junior Burger, which is a single patty. Between the bun, single patty and all the toppings (and the fries!) I'm usually satisfied. The fries are always delicious to the point of addicting. A ridiculously large portion of fries poured into a paper bag that gets more oily from the fries as time goes on. You know eating all these fries isn't the best idea, but the fries are so darn delicious and there's so many, even in the "small" serving. They have a soda machine that dispenses many, many options of soft drink, including my favorite, light Minute Maid lemonade. I have two criticisms about this place. One is the price point, which is company-wide and not directed to this location alone. This is basically fast-food type food, and a Junior burger, small fries and a drink should, I think, cost less than what it does at Five Guys. Because of the price, I don't come here very often. Although I leave satisfied, I do feel that I paid a lot of money for what I ultimately got. The other criticism relates to this location. I miss the ketchup dispenser that I see at some other Five Guys locations. Here, you have to get multiple ketchup packets, which is a pain in the neck considering I like ketchup with my fries and you get so many fries. I'm giving the location four stars. This is one of several equivalent hamburger restaurants in the Rockville area. I've been here a number of times. The hamburgers are decent size and the meat is fresh. It is easy to customize to your liking. The french fries are also fresh. My children have always liked the fact that peanuts Are available for a snacking on. Pricing is reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. This may be considered fast food, this is nothing like McDonald's, or Burger King. I think Five Guys has one of the best burgers in the area. I like it a lot better than Shake Shack and Habit Burger. I love their version of a Patty melt - you order a grilled cheese sandwich and add a patty and grilled onions. The bread was toasted and buttery and the hamburger patty tasted fresh and really good. I usually get their little cheeseburger with all the toppings (it's included so pile it on!). I think that's what separates Five Guys from it's competitors - the free toppings - love the grilled onions and mushrooms. They have two Coke freestyle machines. I usually get the Orange or Ginger Lime flavor. Of course their little fries is like an extra large size. Fries are nice and crispy. Don't forget to add malt vinegar to it. I love this Five Guys! It's always, always, clean! Really, every time I've come, I see a staff member sweeping the floor (pesky peanut shells) or wiping the tables at least once during my visit. The food is perfect, as usual. There is no burger like a Five Guys burger. BP likes the regular fries and I prefer the Cajun, but I believe both are equally as addictive. We always order a Medium order to share, but the cook fills the cup to the brim and there are always more then enough to munch on later in the day. I usually get a little cheese burger (so freakin' cute) and a hot dog (sometimes with cheese). Having said that, Five Guys start with fresh, never frozen beef and there will be a wait as they cook the burger when you order it...no heat lamp! Nosh on some peanuts while you wait...that is why they are there! My only complaint about this place is a regular burger comes with 2 patties and if you have never been here before, you have no idea how BIG the portions are. HaHa...what a problem to have!! Seriously, you have to order the "Little" Cheeseburger if you are going to order a small fry otherwise you need to be rolled out the door. I ordered a cheeseburger (I guess it comes with two patties) with cheese, tomato, lettuce, and pickle (all toppings are free). I added a small fry and a soft drink. I love their fries. Why is it so so so good? Best fries I've had ever. They are so crunchy, crisp and flavorful. Plus, I don't feel as guilty eating it because it's cooked in peanut oil.
