I don't understand the appeal. It took 30 min to get our burgers. The fries were ok but the burgers weren't worth the money. I paid much less for more with In and Out. They allow for outside dining but not too many people came in at all, next to Costco. From what I read its the toppings which are free. If you're like me and only want cheese and ketchup on your burger and maybe onions. In and Out might be a better option. read more

Friday, September 14, 2018 (11:30am). Never been to a Five Guys before. First time today for lunch. 2.5 stars. Overpriced hamburgers that you can cook yourself at home. Very disappointed, this is just another overpriced generic hamburger place. I wanted to like Five Guys but unfortunately there is absolutely nothing special about them. Nothing unique, nothing interesting, nothing different. The burgers here are very similar to what you would grill yourself at home. Hamburgers come with a typical sesame seed bun (grocery store bun). I was at least hoping for a bakery type bun (toasted brioche roll, ciabatta roll, something, anything but a generic sesame seed hamburger bun). Also nothing special about the beef they are using here. Typical beef patty, typical seasoning. They don't have combos either. Every menu item is ordered separate. We had two hamburgers, one order of french fries and two drinks and was $24.47 total, which is expensive considering the mediocre hamburgers. The cajun seasoned french fries were delicious however and the best thing they've got going. Also, the computerized self serve soda machine is a joke of a system. Awful. All drinks pour out of one single spout so if you want root beer, you might be drinking a little bit of something else mixed in first before your root beer pours out. And that's if you can figure out how to use the machine (much too complicated and takes too long to figure out). I gave up and tried plain unsweetened iced tea (from another machine) which tasted like terrible instant iced tea from a powdered mix. Doesn't anybody make freshly brewed iced tea anymore? Who designs this crap equipment? Everything is automated these days and designed to be instant. Seriously pathetic. The Five Guys franchise really missed the mark. They don't offer anything unique. Absolutely nothing to set them apart from their burger competition. I don't see how they will survive. I predict they won't, at least not here in Southern California. The Habit makes a much better hamburger, it's less expensive and they have more menu options (whole wheat buns, chicken sandwich's etc). I came in pretty late so it wasn't busy at all. Called in my order, told them I was close and didn't want it to be made too early. Dante rang me up and I was all set. The burger was waiting for me and it was still pretty fresh. I always get it all the way, extra grilled mushrooms, bell peppers, and A1 sauce. Perfect. Dante was super helpful and got me some extra lettuce and tomatoes when I asked for it. The burger was perfect. It's almost a $10 burger which is pretty pricey but idk. So I've had FiveGuys before and really liked their food. Sadly this situation was coooompletly different. My wife and I decided to have some burgers. We usually go for In n out and are always pleased. So I walk in and ordered a single patty bacon cheeseburger with everything and a double cheeseburger with everything and A-1 on the side Regular fries and small Cajun fries. The total was about $27 dollars. really? $27 for that? I thought oh well I had already ordered and the food is normally good. We get home and start to eat and guess what? The burgers and missing toppings I did not get my A-1 sauce and to top it all off our burgers were raw . I would understand if MAAYYYYBEEEE they were full but there were hardly any people there. The restaurant is always clean and the service is pretty quick, but that is owed in large part to the fact that the quality has gone down hill and the restaurant is constantly empty even during dinner hours. When the burgers were never really that great to begin with you really don't have much margin for error. The fries today were overcooked and lacked salt, and the burgers have gotten significantly messier yet skimpier with the toppings. Probably won't be coming back. Although I'm an In & Out guy, I kind of like the whole store purchase, where I can watch my food being made from start to finish, while putting down roasted peanuts as I wait. The burgers are huge here and wrapped with aluminum foil to keep the temperature warm while you chow down the french fries. My son forced me to buy the spicy Cajun fries to my dislike, as no ate it, including him; such a waste of fries... 5 Guys is Always know for their amazing food. I write this review with a heavy heart. Not only was the food subpar today but the service was really bad. There was no seasoning on the burger and my burger was made wrong. The lady who was helping out on Sunday(10-13-19,) around 2pm was one of the most unfriendly workers. I watched her help 5 or 6 customers as I waited for my food. Not once did she smile or welcome the customer. She would drop the food on the counter say the # once and walk away. I've only been to Five Guys twice, but both times have been consistent. The portions are huge, the music is loud, and there's an unlimited supply of peanuts to munch on. Yes the music may be too loud for my liking, but it's still a popping place for families and friends to come and converse. The portions are pretty generous here. My "tiny" burger was one patty and was plenty for me. The small cup of friends was really enough for 2-3 people. The staff at this location in Glendora were super nice. I would recommend them. I still remember when the only establishment open on the outer strips was Cafe Rio and now all the restaurants have opened up. We stopped by after our lunch at Cafe Rio because we wanted to order food to eat for later. 2x Little Hamburger (all the way) Have only ever been to 2 different Five Guys locations and service is always top-notch. We were greeted by 2 staffs right when we stepped up to the register and ordered promptly. Our orders also came out quickly and were wrapped with neatness and precision. The Carson location can wrap a bit sloppy at times but it's probably due to how busy they are whenever we go. Don't forget to grab yourself some peanuts! Only, if you aren't allergic. The placement of the peanuts are a bit inconspicuous, at the end of the aisle with the unopened potato bags (lining the checkout line/pick-up order line with the dining room. If people didn't know that Five Guys offered peanuts, they probably would've just thought it was just for decoration. Prices for Five Guys are a bit steeper than most fast food restaurants but their quality and freshness of ingredients do stand out. If you don't have time to order and wait, there is always the option to order online through their website and can pick up whenever is most convenient for you. This review involves a fraudulent charge on my credit card after a purchase made through the food delivery app, Post Mates, therefore I don't know which company the issue arose from. The day after ordering food through the app and being charged the correct amount, my credit card was fraudulently charged a second time in the amount of $95.00 by Post Mates for food from Five Guys. I reported this to my bank and, after it's investigation, they deemed the charge fraudulent. I will no longer use Post Mates for food delivery. It's unfortunate because they have a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, but I don't trust the app any longer. read more

The burger itself was good, but by no means even close to many burgers I've had elsewhere for less money. The fries, they to were just okay and nothing to write home about. Now the price for these things, wow, definitely outrageous. The little fry cup (and I mean little) is $3.09. The burger, $5.69 totaling $9.57 after tax. If a family of five went here for a basic meal, with fries and drinks, the bill would more than likely be well over $100.00. After my experience, In-n-out is well off the charts in quality, taste and value compared to Five Guys. No wonder there were only two other couples in the place. I got a bacon burger for $7.99 (the regular burger comes with two patties). The burger was cooked to order, full of flavor, greasy (in a good way), juicy, beefy, and caramelized well. The burger also came with unlimited toppings. It almost feels like you are at a burger buffet because the price includes premium toppings like grilled mushrooms and A-1. Five Guys also has top-notch Cajun fries and bacon. Also, +1 to the two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines at the San Dimas location. It's a real treat to be able to choose a beverage from all the different choices. The San Dimas location was also very clean since they recently opened and the location had ample outdoor seating. I really wanted to try Five Guys because so many people say it's really good. I decided to roll out of bed sick because I really wanted to try your food. I was greeted by a woman, who was nice. She took my order (I ordered grilled cheese, plain, and a large cajan fries). She was kind enough to only charge me for my fries. The one star review was for the door dasher experience. I'm not sure why it was cancelled, there was only a total of 4 people in the dining area and no one waiting to order when I arrived. P.s. Please get ranch dipping sauce. It's a must have! This is a re-review of Five Guys in San Dimas. I wanted to retry this location because I had some business in the area. Parking was crazy maybe because it was towards lunch time. So I walked in to a almost empty place maybe one other person and it was lunch time. The first thing was music was very loud enough to make me sit outside. Ordered and noticed that the cashier had gloves on. After I gave him my money he went to cook my food. So he touched my foot with the glove that I gave him the money with. Mistake one. Considering Five Guys is a pretty popular chain and this is a very populated area. We walk to the counter and the employee, Katelynn, immediately asks us "how many patties do you want?", well I'm fine, how are you? Anyway, we said two. One for my boyfriend, and one for me. We place our order, and when I looked at my receipt I was a little puzzled when I saw my order said "little bacon cheeseburger" so I politely asked Katelynn if that was a regular cheeseburger and she looked at me like I just asked to take a shit on the grill. She very sternly replied "you said you wanted one patty that's a little cheeseburger" pardon me, but when I normally see "little cheeseburger" I associate that with a kids meal, but I guess that's just me being obtuse. We get our order, I had a regular bacon cheeseburger and my boyfriend somehow got a double patty cheeseburger. We also got Cajun fries, and two drinks, which somehow came out to a total of $30.71. Our grilled onions weren't grilled at all, just regular chopped onions and the mushrooms seemed like they just popped them out of a can.
