After as summer of early mornings, long clinical days, and seeing them complete their very first nursing clinical rotation, it was nice to slow down and celebrate everything they had accomplished together. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and well decorated, making it a comfortable place for our group to gather. I ordered the pork bánh mì, and overall I was really impressed. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and everything came out quickly. Even with our larger group, the staff remained friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the meal. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate such an important milestone. Good food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable end to the semester. Definitely the best or at least one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in this area. It was our first time here and we wish we knew about them sooner. We've been to another viet place in a food hall down the street and I wish we had discovered this spot first. Otherwise, we would not have wasted money on the other spot. Positives: Food, prices, service We had the dinosaur pho and the pork banh mi. The large portion was enough for me and my wife to share. We both four beef ribs and brisket. Please do not change this, because it was the perfect amount of meat. The prices are very reasonable too. With the crazy gas prices in California and the crazy high LA taxes (10.75%) every penny counts for us. If the administration is taxing us down to the penny, we can't afford not to ‍ The food was great and the flavors were authentic. The beef bone was extra tender and the broth had a good southern viet taste without too much cinnamon/star anise. It was just right. The pork banh mi was a little sweet without too much lemongrass, plus it was loaded. You don't need to go to Orange County to find authentic viet food, just stop by pho & grill. Came here for a solo dinner on a Friday night. Was seated quickly and order taken got my usual order and dressed my vinegar onions. Dinosaur Pho is my favorite one to get every time. We had dinner at Pho & Grill yesterday. Even though the restaurant was already full inside, we were seated right after arriving and were lucky to get the last available table. We ordered the #32 House Special Pho in both the regular size ($16.50) and extra-large size ($18.99). The portions were generous, the broth was rich and delicious, and the meats were very tender. We also tried the Bun Bo Hue - House Beef Vermicelli Soup ($17). It was very tasty with a mild level of spice. I had never tried this type of Vietnamese vermicelli soup before, and it was a pleasant surprise. The meat was tender and the broth was very flavorful. For drink, we had Che Ba Mau - The 3 Color Beans ($6), which was also good. The service was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. After a long, windy afternoon at Puddingstone Lake / Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, we were craving something hot and comforting. A quick search led us to Pho and Grill, and it turned out to be a great find. When we arrived, the place was packed with only one table left near the back. We ordered: 2 Regular + 1 XL House Pho - Great The regular bowl was already as big as what some places call a "super bowl." The XL portion was enormous -- easily the largest pho bowl I've seen in Southern California. The broth was flavorful, and the meats were super tender and perfectly cooked. Every bite was satisfying. 1 Regular Bun Bo Hue (mild) - Good A nicely balanced bowl with the same tender meats as the pho. The broth had that classic tangy, fish-sauce-forward flavor that makes Bun Bo Hue so appetizing. 3 Color Drink - OK Refreshing but nothing particularly standout. Overall, the portion size, meat tenderness, and flavorful broth easily earn this place 5 stars. It's no surprise the restaurant stays busy -- tables filled almost immediately after people left. Popular spot here in San Dimas; next to TJ Maxx and Dollar Tree. It can get busy at times but came here around 4 on a Saturday with no wait. Plenty of parking available. Tentative staff and quick to order. We had the: Rice vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls - highly recommend. Their grilled pork is amazing; super flavorful. It's good with their rice dish as well. Rib Rye Steak - Sizzling plate - you'll get all the attention when this dish comes out sizzling. This is pair with a big plate of white rice. Not much flavor on the steak other than butter. There's sriracha on the table you can use. It'll be nice if there's some pickled veggies that you can pair with the steak. If you like pho, you should definitely check this place out! My family comes back here pretty regularly because of the pretty good pho and the big portions. The photograph of my extra-large bowl of pho does not do justice to how big the bowl of pho was. It was bigger than my head. So much meat and noodles. I could not finish it and had to to-go part of it. This restaurant is well-liked by lots of people. Today I visited this place on a Monday afternoon, and all the tables were occupied. We were seated after a few minutes of waiting. Service was super fast. Our food came out within 3 minutes of placing our order (of note, all of us ordered pho. I think wait times may vary depending on what you order). Service was good too. The waiter who helped us was super thoughtful. We asked him for a to-go container to pour some of the broth out, so that we could dilute it with our iced drinking water (my mom thought the broth was too salty for it). But the service is pretty fast and efficient. There are a lot of Vegetarian options. On the day we went we happened to order mostly vegetarian dishes. We ordered the vegetarian Bahn Mi, vegetarian pho and the vegetarian egg rolls. The tofu in the vegetarian Bahn Mi is marinated which makes it one of best vegetarian Bahn Mi we have ever had. The egg rolls (we ordered the vegetarian version) come with lettuce, cucumber and carrots which you can roll up together to make the most delicious bite.
