I am from the westcoast and this is as close as it gets to In N Out. The service and food are always great...The area (west village) is awesome! My service was just unacceptable this evening. I ordered a little cheeseburger w/ lettuce mayo pickles and ketchup. I got home to find out they my burger was not what i ordered but instead a burger with only cheese and ketchup. There is no excuse for this. They had a full staff this evening. The restaurant was not even busy with a ton of customers. I have already contacted corporate about this Bc this has happened two times before i just never complained but this was ridiculous tonight. And i know that no one at this location would offer to resolve the issue based on how they talked about previous customers who left the store right before me. ullgh..5 guys was one of my favorite burger joints when i lived in the woodstock/kennesaw area but this smyrna location is awful! The burgers are subpar compared to other locations and my fries are always soggy but it's still 5 guys so i go from time to time but after tonight..NEVER AGAIN. I waited 45 minutes for my call in order. The service at this place has always been poor, the staff acts like they have no idea what they're doing but tonight they completely lost track of their tickets. most of the other people waiting for their food got refunds and left after about 20 minutes so i hung around figuring it couldn't be much longer but it was..25 minutes longer. this place needs help! read more

Great burger. and fries. You walk and are are greated the place looks vibrant and clean the customers always look happy ( a good sign) As you wait to order you notice the sign on the wall telling you the city that the potatos came from I guess its like a fine single vinyard wine...so anyway you get your number a then salivate watching others enjoy thiers until they call yours. I still order the JR burger, I do feel like whimp but the double is TOO big, I guess thats a good thing for some maybe someday...and the bag o fries is enough for 2. Like the burgers. Like the fries. Don't like that for a small bacon cheese burger and fries it is almost $10! I personally think 5 guys is overrated especially when you can go to the Vortex or US cafe or similar places and get great burgers and fries for decent prices. I have read online that Five Guys is great for gluten free folks and experienced the greatness myself tonight. When I explained that I had dietary allergies one of the employees assured me he would be totally in charge of making my order. They seemed knowledgable about cross contamination of gluten from other products and were so helpful and understanding. Gluten free food is wonderful simply because I won't get sick but the best part about this food is that is is great food. These fries give any gluten-contaning fries a run for their money and the bun-less burger didn't leave me feeling bummed that I missed out on the bread. read more

So it was literally 9:38pm and I slept pretty much all day. Everyone had ate and forgot about me.So I called anyway to see if they had closed the grill. I expressed that if it was cleaned and turned down that I wouldn't ask them to turn it back up. They still took my order and displayed wonderful customer service. If I could only rate their food I would give it four stars, but because customer service is involved I'll have to give it one star. The customer service there was very very extremely poor never experienced this ever at the five guys that I visited while in Florida just moved out here by the way. The customer service is poor due to the girl there with the glasses and very large buck teeth decided to not want to give us the larger bag to doggie bag our food. I actually had to explain that we had too much leftovers therefore we needed a larger bag before she handed me one! As I walked away with the bag her and some very little man begin laughing at me. don't understand why but they did...weird. I did report it to the manager and hopefully he did something it. I love this place. Yes, it's "fast food." Yes, it's cheap. No, it's not the classiest restaurant. But it's freakin' delicious. The burgers are messy and drippy....as a burger should be. My arteries could use a good vacuuming by the time I'm done so, unfortunately, I can't eat here as often as I'd like which would be everyday and twice on Sunday if I could. The employees are super nice. They come by to check several times if everything came out ok and ask if we needed anything else. Every Five Guys I've been to is like this. My husband loves this place, and as a celiac, I'm not a burger-girl as a rule. Not as an anything. BUT, Five guys will deliver my burger in a little tin pan without the bun, mayo (which is off my OK-to-eat list). All the other wonderful burger fixin's go right in the little pan and I'm as happy as the husband. They do all this without a question, or battin' an eye. I get more grief about gluten-free at much fancier restaurants around town. We don't eat out much, but Five Guys is a go-to for us. KUDOs. read more

I've never eaten at 5 guys and once is good for me. It is all about excess. Huge portion of frys (bag full) which left a nice grease stain for you to see while eating. Plus you can put tons of toppings on your burger. Now the toppings were nice since you could get stead sauce, sauteed onions, mushrooms, etc. So it was nice to have lots of choices...but a little over the top for me. read more

I love love 5 guys. But this Smyrna location is awful. Hopefully it was just a ad shift of folks working. My French fries were over cooked. They were out of ketchup and despite me asking several time over my ten minute stay for them to replace it, they never did. I specifically told the cashier that I needed two separate orders yet she still only processed it as one which meant the order had to reentered. While I generally do not review fast food or chain restaurants- this 5 guys is awesome! I often stop here for a quick lunch or for dinner on a night we are really craving a burger! This place gets very busy- every staffer member always seems to be doing something! They do a wonderful job of making sure all the tables are cleaned off and they some how manage to usually have no peanut shells on the floor (which seems impossible being that everyone eats and drops them on the floors!) The service is fast and in times when they are slow- i have had them actually walk my bag over to my table! I don't know if this is do to good management or the employees themselves- but it is wonderful to see! read more

Moved from DC to Atllanta about 6 year ago and had to leave Five Guys behind... And I was going to the original location for years - simply the best! For a business that rarely advertises and instead uses word of mouth, you have to be good to stay around. And five guys is the best! Fresh beef daily - fresh bread daily - fresh fries (and they tell you where they're from), and of course - the peanuts!!! One problem... The original store is unique in that customers toss peanut shells on the floor - regularily sweeping required. But oh what fun... I love this place! You will too. read more

On my first visit, the order of large fries was the cup, and @ 4 fries in the bag. I called the manager Michele and she apologised and offered me complimentary fries on my next visit. Today i picked them up as part of the larger order. I am now staring at a large bag of inedible cold burnt fries. Am not even going to call back. I have been to Five Guys on a number of occasions and each time been very happy with the food that they serve. The only fly in the ointment is the dour staff that greet you when you walk in. Now, if I was faced with the prospect of flipping burgers all day I doubt that I would be doing back-flips every time I was asked for a cheeseburger and fries but they mostly look like they have just been told that someone has run their dog over. Always look to get a take out too as the atmosphere is sterile and dour. read more
