I always get the club on wheat which has turkey, ham, and bacon. But this time I decided to try something different and went with a hot sub. (The chicken philly w/bacon) It was two people working inside. They both were quite friendly and informative. Any questions that I needed to be answered, they did so with much pleasure. This is not an indictment against the chain, it seems like a well run store in Decatur. However I cannot see paying $50.00 for a footlong meal and a half sandwich meal with a brownie-well $48.00 with tip. That is off the chain and absolutely insane as to nearly be laughable and for that reason I will not return. It's deli meat, cheese, bacon and minimal other topping to select (like 4 not counting mayo) and the cookies and brownies are prepackaged. The prices are so insanely high for sandwiches that it feels like an art installation parodying inflation. read more

Staff was friendly enough but making a vegetarian sandwich is not something they are capable of. I asked for grilled mushrooms and they literally gave me raw mushrooms drenched in oil. It doesn't take basic sandwich skills to know you cannot sauté mushrooms in less than a minute from raw... Called to work it out with the store and all calls go to voicemail. I am extremely disappointed in this location and this pathetic waste of food they're trying to pass off as a sandwich. read more

Who knows, maybe this place changed in a year. So one of my co-workers took me here on Friday and I tried their italian sandwich with wheat bread and I must say it was very good. The bread was very nice, the meat was fresh and the lettuce and tomatoes (nice, red and fully ripen) were extremely crisp. The guy wore gloves and the other dude at the register seemed very cool too and I looked around and the place was clean. So maybe something changed from July of last year until now. Unlike other sandwich shops, this place even cuts their meat fresh. They have them sitting in a cooler with window right next to the sandwich station. Best of all, these people are not cheap on their portion. Some places give you one slice of cheese and cut it into 4 slices to make it look like more, and do the same with the meat, luckily not here. Yay! As of right now I will give this place a solid five stars. Great service, great sandwich, clean store, good location. No issues. I'll update my review if I stop here again. read more

The GA Department of Public Health should shut this restaurant down immediately. No food service employees were correctly wearing masks at this location! I walked in and none of the 3 employees at the store, presumably including the manager, were effectively protecting customers by properly wearing masks. One employee had a mask around the ears with the mask itself over only their chin and neither the mouth or nose. The other two wore masks in such a way as to only cover their mouths but not their noses. From the DPH COVID-19 requirements in O.C.G.A. §3-1-2(2.1): "Face coverings are made of cloth or fabric and must cover the nose and mouth while being worn. Workers will not be allowed to work unless they have a face covering." read more

Their cheese steaks are to die for, but I experienced quite a difference when trying to place a catering order for my office for a meeting of 20 people. To begin with, I tried ordering through their website, but it was apparently malfunctioning, so I tried to call to get some help. I got a recording. I left a message. No return call. I called again later in the day and the next morning, yet each time, no return call. I ended up going through a caterer to order our food. That worked, but the driver from the restaurant was 15 minutes late and the boxed lunches were missing chips and utensils. He said they were short-handed and I told him I understood, but someone really should have just made a quick call to say they were running late. The driver copped an attitude and tried arguing with me - so not cool - and that's the end of Jersey Mike's! read more

You can feel the tension once you step In. This is already a very small and crowded space so when the staff isn't on the same page the whole room Can feel it. There was literally chaos in the back with the young and seemingly us trained workers. The line was backed up , sandwiches were sloppy and the one manager on duty was trying her absolute best to help her team and the customers. We got two philly subs and the results were .....underwhelming. The bread for my sub was a bit stale and hard to chew. The sub itself was a bit too missy and the steak cooked too much. It was still edible. My wife's sub had the same problems but she found a hair in her sub. I am willing to give them a second chance as it seems the workers just were not prepared to open up shop that day. read more

Howell mill location via uber.... Awful... it tasted like you broke down and ate a gas station sub in a small town via micro wave after getting it from a freezer. If you have ever done it there.. you know what to expect. Also they gave me a half of a sub and charged me for a regular. I've been here several times and I've always been impressed with the service. I was greeted as I walked in the door and was helped right away. I ordered my usual #13 Italian. You can't beat the fresh sliced meats. I love the hot pepper relish, it's the right amount of heat without being too much. Stopped in to get my usual #26 on a wrap and Brandon was letting everyone that came in know ahead of time that the credit/debit machine was down and that they were only able to accept cash. The positive energy and customer service skills that this guy showed was very much appreciated. Walked in and was sorta greeted by a guy standing behind the register. I say barely because he mumbled something that might have been "hey". Quickly approached the ordering area and took a few minutes to decide. Figured the Original Italian, couldn't be a bad choice. And it wasn't. Though it wasn't great. Lots of slices of meat but honestly I just didn't really taste anything, not even the vinegar and oil dashed on there. While seated inside..that's when the magic occurred. 4 guys behind the counter who were basically doing gym room antics. Talking loudly to each other, playing tag (yes one ran after the other). One walked out with a huge sandwich wrapped in foil, came back and went right behind the register with no concept of hand washing. One guy took the trash out through the main dining area and again no washing of hands when he made it back in. Another guy ate his sandwich on I'm assuming was his lunch break, finished and again no hand washing. I was sitting there cringing inside while thanking the ebola gods that I had my sandwich already but then I thought egawds..what went down before I got here. With that being said. As a kid in upstate this was known simply as Mike's Subs (The original name outta Joisey). Me and my siblings grew up on this fare along with its then companion, Mike's Neba (Hot roast beef sandwiches, tater tots). But I digest. Feeling a wave of nostalgia come over me, (alright, more like a wave of hunger nausea) I go in search of my youth. It should come as no surprise to my few but faithful fans that I opt for the Original Italian: ham, prosciutinni, cappicola, lettuce, tomatoes, extra onions, oil & vinegar. These are not great subs, but they're reliable. You know what you're getting. Tasty, honest food. The bread has always been distinctive. The meats, cheeses and toppings are Dagwood-worthy. And my sandwich maker, well, he's a baaaad mother---- (Shut your mouth!). A 7.5" regular ($6.95) is, now that I'm in my declining years, barely manageable. In a vain attempt to recapture my misspent youth, I inhale deeply, leaving me once again with greasy lips, onion breath and a protruding waistline. Ahhh, who says you can't go home? Okay, so here's the beans: Placed a order via the internet for the big kahuna, and 2 wraps, nothing special. The wraps were correct, no special changes to the order for these. Well lets just say that for a chicken caesar wrap, is it mandatory to put it in 3 wraps so you can't taste anything but the wrap itself. Not happy @ all. Now the big kahuna, ordered with no onions, and jalapeño on 1/2 the sandwich. Well let me say this, when a order is placed to have something removed or on 1/2 the sandwich, this does not mean you only put it on one side of the bread. How in the "HELL" would you come up with this as an interpretation of whats to be removed. Nonetheless, an hour break for lunch just to get back @ work to realize the order is not what you wanted. Gonna have to find another Jersey Mikes to deal with if I ever decide to go back. This is mainly the reason I don't eat @ Stake & Shake now. We did not fill out the application to make food. If this is where you want to work, at least be able to read the order. read more

Not the best Jersey Mikes around (that honor goes to the one off Barrett Pkwy) but the friendly service earned this spot an extra star. I'm a huge fan of the buffalo chicken sandwich but it seems every location does it slightly different. This spot was my least favorite so far. read more

I'm from NJ and was still weary of trying this place due to some of the reviews. I'm very confused as to why this place does not have stellar reviews.. perhaps they've improved a lot recently? 1. Service was great, the staff is very well trained to greet when you walk in with a smile on their face. 2. Sandwich was made very fast and meats are cut to order. 3. Plenty of meat. 4. It was delicious! I've had so many different types of subs/hoagies growing up and I have to say the original italian I had at this location was one of the subs I'll remember having. I'm literally only deducting a star for them offering a philly cheesesteak. It kind of gives off a vibe that makes the place feel a little less "Jersey" or authentic. read more

Tonight was our first time visiting Jersey Mike's. They're building one close to our house (Austell Road & East-West Connector) so we wanted to give 'em a try. We were completely impressed. Excellent customer service!!! Mike had the #8 Sub Club. (1st picture) Tons of meat and lots of flavor. I tried the #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. (Picture #2) Tonight they were out of green & red peppers which was fine by me - I prefer it without those anyway. They threw in extra mushrooms to make up for their lack of peppers. I asked them to hold the jalapeños. The first sub that came out had the jalapeños so they apologized profusely and quickly made me a replacement sub. The hot sub guy felt bad so he made me the largest size sub. (Picture #3) While I appreciate his kindness, there was zero chance of me being able to eat so much food. Their biggest size sub is more than big enough for two people to share. The only thing we weren't thrilled with... their soda options. (We aren't huge fans of Pepsi) We will definitely be back. Don't know what the less than stellar reviews are about. This is by far the best sub chain around. I give Lenny's props for the pepper relish but Jersey's still has an edge. Meat and cheese is sliced fresh to order and the bread and toppings are all solid. You end up with a good size sub with quality ingredients and so much more flavor than flippin' Subway. This location is particularly efficient too. The owner always complains about finding good help but the service here is so much better than any other sub chain around. read more
