My friend and I were so happy to find the actual physical restaurant here in the same plaza where we came last summer for my birthday!! We were on our way to the Japanese tea garden, and then we decided to use her gift card and go to five guys. Sadly, Yelp had a pop-up spot that said there was a "restaurant "in an industrial area which it was actually just an Uber eats drop off area. Not an actual restaurant where they cook in front of you. I was able to get a coffee and Pastory across the street at Phill's coffee shop and I was thrilled as well!! This corner spot of five guys had a weird parking lot, so I wasn't too sure if I was supposed to park on the left or right hand side since it's on a corner and there's a light leading out of the plaza within 100 feet of the entrance. I parked halfway in between the coffee shop and five guys so it would be easier for us to get out. Overall, everything went well, and I was able to get a coffee a pastry from Phill's and my girl loved her burger!! Our party of 3 had a double cheeseburger with bacon, a cheeseburger with bacon, 2 burger patties, 2 large fries, 2 drinks, & 1 water. $54. Slightly pricer than based fast food. The service was poor. The cashier had trouble communicating. We said we'd be dining in, but everything was packed in bags. The steam made the fries soggy. This is a terrible Five Guys location, mostly because of the nonexistent service. Multiple times I've been here to pick up my order after ordering online/through the app, and they literally will not address you or make eye contact with you when you walk up to the pick up counter. It's like they have no interest in actually serving the food to customers. There are always tons of workers but none of them take ownership, so they are all just milling about not addressing customers and just chatting amongst themselves. This place never fails to impress me with how much more food I get for my money. My go to order in the bacon cheeseburger with sautéed onions and mushrooms with barbecue sauce and a small order regular fries. I would always recommend ordering in advance. That way the wait time is significantly shorter. If you decide to go in and order, than depending on the time of the day. Your wait time can be anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. Five guys is notorious, we known for their burgers, (where you have almost unlimited toppings to add to the burger). Just a tip from a five guys regular. Eat the food as quickly as you can or try to let the burger breathe. If you keep it wrapped up in the foil, it will get soggy, which is a huge flaw if you're not able to eat it within 5 to 10 minutes of getting your food. They have really delicious and thick milkshakes. Most popular flavors are: chocolate or vanilla. You can also order a hotdog, as well as an unlimited amount of peanuts. Those are just there for the taking. Now, there are variations of the menu which you can order. But the go too's are the burgers or the hotdogs. Now the burgers are pricier than normal. That's if you are comparing it to the traditional fast food chains. That's because with that higher price points, you also get fries and a drink. But for that same price, you're getting just the burger at Five Guys. However, it is much better quality than the fast food chains that are out here and significantly more filling, in my opinion. I'm reviewing the cheeseburger. Specifically when purchased in BOGO promo via Uber Eats, which gets you 2 huge cheeseburgers for $16. Hopefully you're sharing with someone. Although it seems like a great deal, there are caveats. First, be sure you are in borderline starvation mode before attempting to eat this thing. Because it actually comes with 2 patties. TWO greasy patties. That makes it a DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER, which is not mentioned in the menu description. False advertising. Next, this MUST be eaten onsite. Do not attempt to take it to go, it will coagulate quickly and become a soggy mess as it's wrapped tightly in foil. They do use fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions which is good. However, the bun is not substantial enough to hold up to the moisture from the produce and the abundant grease from the melted cheese and two patties. So you have a very messy double cheeseburger on your hands, face, elbows, everywhere. Milkshake was okay for the first half. After that, it got too sweet. Strawberry taste was barely there. There were a lot of oreo cookie bits though. I liked the customizability of ordering. This was my second time at Five Guys and the food was honestly just ok, especially given the price. I think theres a lot of charm to the ambiance of a Five Guys with the free peanuts and how you can really customize your burger. My only and biggest issue with this particular Five Guys was the rude service. I went to go order at the registers but there was no one there for a quite a while until I noticed what seemed to be a manager walk up to a counter that was at a lower elevation. He just looked at me and stood there and this body language suggested he felt very annoyed. It took me a second to realize but there was register there hidden from my point of view and he was waiting for me to go there to order. When I went to order he didn't say anything and just seemed super annoyed the whole time. With all of these actions combined, I just did not feel very welcomed there. I also noticed the same worker treating another customer in a similar way; especially when that customer suggested they should probably move the "order here" sign to save confusion. I don't expect to be treated like a king at establishments but I want to at least feel comfortable eating there without feeling unwelcomed. read more
