I get my burger to go which I ordered plain. 10 minutes down the road (I'm just passing through on long trip) and I take my first bite and there is a strong mustard flavor. I take off the bun and it's evident they had put ketchup and mustard on it then realized their mistake. Instead of making a fresh one they must have just scraped what they could off of it. Of course I can still see the mustard in the patty and bacon and it essentially ruined the burger for me as I hate mustard. Five guys is a chain burger joint, who someone claimed that they were the "Willy Wonka of burgers." Restaurant had a few customers in it and the "stellar" crew could barely maintain the pace. Hiring Oompa Loompas might be better. 2 burgers, small fry, 2 drinks, cost 35 bucks, almost equivalent to having a steak dinner. Nothing special, it's a burger joint. Restaurant needed to be cleaned, but alas no Oompa Loompas to accomplish that here. Bun was soggy, fries were lukewarm. Yum...not. Honestly the burgers are great! You get a TON of fries no matter what size you get! Probably the biggest and only downside to this place, and the chain as a whole, is the prices. I don't think anyone can argue $11 for a simple cheeseburger... by itself... is a lot to charge! The customer service is generally really pleasant! We've eaten at this location multiple times. It's always delicious! Little cheeseburger and regular fries hit the spot! Everything is fresh and tasty. Today the staff was exceptional. Everyone was smiling friendly and responsive. Seating areas were clean and organized. We first attempted to sit outside, but it started to rain, we decided to sit inside and it was so nice great. They have recently closed inside seating. This makes no sense. There were four tables inside that were separated beyond CDC recommended minimums. Georgia released updated COVID-19 guidance for restaurants in Feb, and it does not prohibit inside seating. According to the GA DPH, COVID cases in Lowndes County are lower than they have been since Thanksgiving. The day we went, it was too cold to eat outside. We left and went to one of the other numerous restaurants in the area that do allow inside seating. We wore masks, socially distanced and had a good meal. read more

Although the guys working at this place were awesome and super super nice and had no problem doing whatever we needed, I don't feel bad rating this Five Guys at 3 star. Meal came out hott and pretty dang quick, but I've had veggies at other locations cooked down a lot more and it just really makes a difference. The veggies on all 4 of the party's burgers were not done, looked like they'd be grilled at 150 for about 30 seconds. Not to forget one of the best parts about 5 guys, is their fries. Unfortunately I have experienced many better locations of this chain. I stopped in on my way home to Florida from Alabama. The restaurant wasn't very crowded but for some reason food orders were backing up quickly and many people were up at the counter with complaints. The staff was very confused it seemed about the orders coming out and to whom they belonged. I wanted something above fast food quality and didn't mind waiting a bit, but regretted coming in when I had waited upwards of 20 minutes and ended up with a subpar burger and lots of older fries. The staff here is awesome! It was pouring down rain at the time when we arrived but we had been driving a while and wanted a good meal. I wanted 5 Guys (mainly for the fries) and this location was on our route back to Florida. When we walked in the staff was jovial and upbeat despite it being pitch black and raining cats and dogs outside. The staff greeted us as we arrived and took our order. I was surprised to learn that 5 Guys sells milkshakes at some locations, as the ones I frequent do not. We dried off a bit and waited for our order which was available pretty quickly. The fries were hot and fresh but a little raw on the inside still so we took them back to the counter. Without hesitation, the staff apologized and offered to make us another batch. Since that was what motivated the trip, edible fries were essential for me. The second batch were cooked fresh but done on the inside. We were able to enjoy our meal and take a break from driving and refuge from the rain. Again the food was pretty standard for the chain but I had never encountered such a staff with so much joy and happiness. This was not just the case with us but with everyone in which served during our visit. Their smiles were contagious as they made me smile and pep up by the time I left. read more

Had a minor issue with my burger toppings which was resolved immediately. We have been in Five Guys in multiple states this was THE ONLY Five Guys manager to come to our table to see if we were satisfied and had any needs. He also made the rounds checking on other customers when business slowed. After resolving the missing toppings on my burger, the manager apologized and stopped by twice to check on us. Very polite and caring young man, offered us a milkshake (very good) for our inconvenience. I don't live in Valdosta, but would make this Five Guys a regular stop if I did. read more

This place is now the last place in valdosta I will ever go eat! The only reason its getting one star is for the milkshake which was good but far over priced for the amount you get. The food was a messy gross pile of grease. for all the talk about how great their fries are I was expecting firm, crispy fries but instead got half cooked floopy gross potato sticks, they don't even deserve to be called fries. The music was up so loud you couldn't hear them call numbers and there is no loud speaker for orders. Normally I enjoy coming here whenever I get the chance. The burgers are always delicious but the fries can be a bit salty at times but not too bad. Biggest complaint from last visit was the cashier looked so miserable, as if she didnt even want to be there and even rolled her eyes while taking our order. Menu was typical 5 guys. It would be really nice if they would add onion rings. Anyhow our orders came out exactly as we ordered them, quite a feat since everyone modified every item ordered. The shakes were the highlight. Totally awesome. I hate to check the carb and calories however they were exceptional. We got a large order of fries that were nice and hot. There were more fries in the bag than in the cup. The cup was full, we had twice as many fries as we ordered, easily enough for 6 people,not a problem for us as we ate them anyway. Burgers were at least twice as good as the big chains and actually were juicy and tastey. The peanuts as a snack are great to kill the time waiting for your order to be fresh cooked.
