I must be the only American who hadn't yet been to Five Guys. Well today was the day and my experience certainly didn't disappoint. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger. No fries, no shake. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. I asked if they had any meat scraps from the flat top that I might be able to have for my dog. Once again, BAM! The line chef cooked my good boi a fresh burger in its totality. Thank you Five Guys! I also have to add that every customer in there, and picking up to-go orders were COOL PEEPS. I apologized for my dog barking outside, no one raised an eyebrow. This might not matter much to some, but this detail in the ladies room also scored. The toilet paper dispenser was an actual single roll, like you'd have at home, not those mammoth rolls that just tear into 100 tiny pieces. AND the to was coming from the top, the RIGHT way ;) Lastly, as I was leaving, I noticed an uplifting sight. There was a cork board that had a cheerful collection of drawn-on index cards. Unfortunately, my last two visits were both disappointing -- noticeable drop in food quality and overall experience. What really pushed me to write this review is what happened next: I submitted detailed feedback twice through their website, including store info and specifics, and never even received an acknowledgment. Went today about 12 o'clock in the afternoon and the bathrooms were disgusting. Zero paper products in the ladies room no toilet paper both rolls empty no paper towels. I went to the counter & She said that she couldn't fill it now so I had to use the men's room. you couldn't even look in the mirrors. They were so disgusting if I hadn't already ordered my food I probably wouldn't have eaten there because I'm assuming if the bathrooms looked the way they look the kitchen is probably the same. I'm not a five guys fan but I was on vacation with a group and this is where they chose to eat. They did an impressive job of serving 51 of us for lunch. They do have some outside seating so we were all able to sit down and relax. Sandwiches are big so if I ever eat at another 5 Guys I'll order a kids meal. read more

I enjoy a good burger, and this is a good burger. Although I don't visit this shop often enough, our last visit, during this fun called Covid, was quick and easy. Placed the order at the register, where there is a plexiglass barrier, staff and customers are wearing masks. Customers waiting for their order to be completed were all being respectful of keeping a safe distance from one another. It would be nice if this area were a bit larger on a busy night, but all in all, everyone did a good job being safe. We were in and out in a reasonable amount of time. There is no plexiglass at the 'pick up' area, but you don't really interact with anyone in that area. They drop the bag, step away, you pick it up and carry on with your day. We brought our goodies home to enjoy with a nice birthday glass of vino. Yes, I wanted a birthday burger. Don't judge. Sadly, I cannot eat their fries as they are cooked in 100% peanut oil, and peanuts do not like me, so no comment on those. The burger though; tasty burger. Mmmm, mm. read more

We stopped in here for a quick bite because we were out doing errands and route two is just so convenient for everything. We went in and ordered our burgers and I love how you can choose anything that you want to go on them. I chose a lot of stuff including raw onions and cooked onions which was excellent. Of course it is messy to eat. We also got a small fry which is more than enough for me and Mike. The burgers were excellent and the fries were good as always. I really like the soda machine because they have a Coke fancy vending machine where are you can choose any Coke product I believe and it dispenses it. That was really nice. Always good read more

I don't think you can find a better quick burger and fries anywhere around here that can beat Five Guys. By default the burgers are a double patty and they are grilled up in front of you, tasty, juicy and delicious. Nothing frozen. Everything is hand formed and hand cut (like the fries). They know what they are doing here. Fries are hand cut, skin on, mostly crispy, salty and amazing. It's a weird complaint, but they give you a TON of fries Go one size down from what you think you will order and you'll still have some left over It's a very satisfying, quickly served, much better than the standard chain burger for not a lot more money. The shakes here are a little smaller and thin than I would have hoped for. Definitely not as good as the Boston location on Huntington Ave. Get a soft drink from the choose your own flavor Coke machine instead. Usually a big fan of Five Guys! However this experience just left a sour taste in my mouth, unfortunately. My son was craving for a burger on our way to the park so he could ride his bike. So I called ahead of time to place my order for us. The lady on the phone took my order and told me when I got there, I would just pay and my order would be ready. When I got there, they were super busy. The gentleman told me to wait (which is totally understandable), but he greeted me only once there was a line behind me with customers. AFTER I paid, they informed me that my order wasn't in their system. So, I had to wait there with my four year old bouncing around while there was a ton of other customers in there! What made me finally ask for a refund, was the fact that the lady was glaring at me, and I was afraid they were going to do something nasty to our food. The manager (who seemed friendly) informed me it would take up to 24 hours to process the refund because it needed to go through the district manager. I just left, without a receipt stating they would give me a refund. So, I'll have to wait and see if I will get refunded my $26. On the bright side, my son got to keep his chocolate shake and I got to keep my drink. Sorry say, but we definitely won't be back to this Five Guys location again. Update: sure enough: they didn't refund me the $26.19 for my order. So, I had to call merchant services to dispute this charge. Such a waste of time. read more

With the exception of the Five Guys in Glastonbury Connecticut that somehow embarrasses the entire franchise with poor food and worse service, Five Guys is consistently excellent everywhere. However, this one in Warwick RI is over the top good. Burgers are cooked well, buns are fresh and never soggy no matter how many toppings you have. The little fries are overflowing and delicious...enough for two people with normal appetites. The shakes are great and well blended. The restaurant is immaculate and constant attention is paid to keeping it that way. This one sets the bar high and delivers every time. Others should take notice. So I really hate leave my last experience here because I know places are doing their best right now, BUT I think Five Guys could do a little better (at least this location). First of all, there is no plexiglass at the register. While I thought it was odd, because most (if not all) other places open right now do. Second, the kid bagging the burgers and fries forgot about my burger which sat on the counter for too long. I could have let the first two slide until my third issue. Lastly and most importantly, in the process of bagging my order, he pulled his mask down to yell to someone else there (touched his mask and face), didn't do a glove change, and proceeded to touch my fries with a potentially contaminated gloved hand (his glove made contact with all the fries at the top of the cup he filled). Luckily they understood my concern when I complained, and refunded me for the entire order. Well, the entire thing went in the garbage when I left. Maybe I could have eaten the burger, but my mind couldn't help but wonder what else they're touching with contaminated hands. No thank you. 8 years ago, I went to FG in mystic, CT. It was an experience. Burgers and fries as you would want them in a fast food ad. Fast forward to today, when I took my dad (who has dementia) for what I THOUGHT was the best burger around. When you order onions, they are pre-fried, giving them an old taste. The fries were soggy to the nth degree. My father actually stated that the burger was just no good. How did they go from a stellar presentation and good food to rote food and greasy fries?!?!?! I absolutely love Five Guys! Coming from Southern California and having In-N-Out, it has been pretty hard to find something here that is up to par. Although there's no drive through at Five Guys, the food is definitely worth the wait. I love ordering their cheeseburger--it's always cooked to perfection! My favorite is the Cajun fries, they're so delicious and very flavorful. The large is HUGE--enough for two or three people. Best burgers in the state! I honestly think it comes close to one of those world famous Shake Shacks burger. I always get the most delux version I can get with every possible ingredients in it, and it tastes soooo good!! It's also consistently good which is important. Their fries are also great, i actually feel healthy eating real potatoes unlike McDonald's fake fries. The patties are juicy and tender as well. They have nice patio area with speakers, so it's a great spot to have a quick lunch for sure! read more

We were craving a little grease after the football game today so we opted for door dash/ five guys. I had a hotdog and hubs had a bacon cheeseburger. We split an order of fries and I had to try a shake. All were delicious, definitely hit the spot after an afternoon of drinking. And to our surprise, the food wasn't super greasy. Seriously. I did not have high hopes with the line snaking out the door when I arrived at this burger joint. But - I was solo and had some time to burn. And - I had heard such good things about this place. I decided I was willing to give it a shot. Good thing I did. First off, the line vanished in almost a blink of an eye. The folks that take your order have it down to a science and do it with a smile. I love...LOVE...the fact that they do not charge extra for going crazy with their burger toppings. Unlimited? Why certainly. I did the single with just about everything and stepped inside the corral to wait. There must have been 40 people crammed into this waiting area akin to the animal pen reference above. Not a huge area but luckily, not a long wait. The prep line runs with precision. And everyone seems to be having a good time. Not that it directly influences the outcome of my food, but a plus that workers seems to enjoy their duties. So the downside is that there is literally very little seating during the peak times. I was by myself so I actually sat myself down with a party that was "saving" a four-top table while they had someone ordering for them in line. I moved to an open counter seat after a few minutes but I am sure those folks were not psyched to have to share their precious table space. I find it slightly annoying that people do take up table space for line-waiters. If people just went through the line, picked up their food, ate and got outta there it would be more efficient. That being said...if you do go - bring a friend to save a table if you are going at a peak lunch / dinner hour. Or - grab to go. But the burger...sweet heaven on a bun. Nicely cooked thin patty aboard some toasty bread drenched with a generous amount of toppings. The mushrooms were piled high and spilling off. Not only free, but generous. Nice.
