This is truly a wonderful toy store! I love it here and my son loves it as well! They have a huge selection of all different toys for many ages. The store is beautifully organized and the staff is always very helpful. Five Little Monkeys is also a great place to get gifts and they will wrap it for you for free! I had no idea what to get my niece and nephew (both under 5) for Christmas, so I made a trip to Five Little Monkeys. What a fantastic place! Found them both really cute (and earth-friendly!) toys at reasonable prices. And like others have mentioned, they wrapped them for free. The employee who rang me up/wrapped the toys was probably the nicest employee in the history of retail. Skip the big box stores and support this wonderful little toy store! read more

A nice little neighborhood toy store and has been for years. Lately however, the customer service has been less than stellar. They used to have a good crew, but lately it's a lot of young kids chewing gum, talking about last night's dates, comparing tats and showing their selfies -- these are their clerks! You can stare at them for 5 minutes and no reaction. They often have an ad in for new workers and I suppose you don't get much for minimum wage. read more

Love that this place doesn't market all those ubiquitous syndicated products. That in itself earns five stars. But really, they have quality toys, helpful staff, and fun gift wrapping for FREE! I happened to be in Walnut Creek and walked into opening day at the new Five Little Monkeys store! We bought something in the hopes of being their 1st customer but missed it by one. Second customer just doesn't have the same ring. Beautiful store. Some of our favorite staff from Solano was there; the store manager was bursting with pride and joy at the opening. They have the same wonderful merchandise. I don't worry that they are selling a toy with lead or something. So freeing when you don't have to worry about that! The store is bigger that the Solano store and more spacious. The other baby stores in Walnut Creek really are for babies and my 3 year-old is bored in them. So happy that we can now browse the shops for grown-ups with the promise of a Five Little Monkey's stop for her. Yay!!! read more

I love this place. Actually, it's the only toy shop I genuinely enjoy shopping at. I don't have kids of my own, but most of my friends do, and I also have a young niece and nephew, so I frequently need to buy presents. This place has the best selection of toys at a reasonable price. They carry a large variety of quality toys, including many you won't find at Target or Toys R Us: wooden toys, science toys, construction sets, railways, arts. Separate section for baby toys. A small book section, too. Prices are not cheap, but include a wrapping service (a choice of beautiful wrapping paper) and a convenient return/exchange policy.
