Red corvette (margarita pizza) and ipa. Happy for a vegetarian option
    Rachel H.

Stopped by to wait out traffic after flying into LAX. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely was pretty crowded and loud, as I unknowingly walking into trivia night but it was great to see how many people show up from the community.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 1 delicious vegetarian option with their margarita Detroit style pizza and great classic ipa. I'd go back but I'd check their schedule so i know what I'm walking into

    Board games (Jan 2026)

Five Point Five Brewing is a Filipino owned business located in El Segundo. I recently came here to attend Filipino Mahjong Night, but this neighborhood brewery hosts other events like Paint & Sip, Monthly Beerio Kart, Backgammon on Tap, Tabletop Game Night, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The brewery focuses on hockey games as I can see the brewery hanging various local hockey league banners.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an outdoor patio area, but everyone just sat inside of the brewery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have board games here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [Parking]: Easy and free street parking. [Menu]: For food, they offer Los Angeles Style pizzas. The Yelp top highlighted item is The Jeepney (Filipino style pizza). For pizza, customers can order half or full pizza. They also have snacks like pretzels, tater tots, dino nuggets, and Tokyo tots. *** The Jeepney (smoked Filipino sausage, onions & sweet peppers, ube yams - $12 for half): The pizza felt like a Detroit-style pizza and half pizza = two square slices of pizza. The pizza tasted alright, but the portion definitely felt a bit small. *** [[HIGHLIGHT]]A pretty nice local brewery with chill vibe and I can see myself coming back here for other events, but don't expect to walk out with a full stomach unless there's an expectation to order and eat a whole pizza all by yourself (which is possible given the portion is pretty small).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I remember coming here a few years ago when it was under a different name. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is festive and has a great array of beers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really enjoyed the Sweet Melissa Belgian double IPA. It was full of complex flavors. They also have a very delicious menus of deep dish pizzas. I loved the crispy, cheesy pepperoni and arugula version. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have several big screen TV's to watch your favorite games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Oktoberfest today: Citrus hazy and chocolate stout
    Jenn J.

Stopped by for Oktoberfest. Appreciated that the menu has multiple IPAs and dark beers. We enjoyed these: Citrus Aftermath hazy IPA German chocolate stout Ran into an old co-worker! It was also a very tame day with a USC weekend reunion taking place. The board games and TVs kept us occupied. The beer pong was funny to watch for a bit. As the prices are a wee steep for a low key brewery, this isn't going to be our neighborhood hang. Thanks tho

Stopped by here on a Saturday night, luckily made it in before last call. We didn't grab any food but the drinks were great and the service even better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has plenty of seating inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating inside was very comfortable and relaxing for enjoying your drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also had an assortment of games to chose from, which was great because we had kids with us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is definitely slept on. Excellent beers, excellent pizza, service is amazing, and they have the Dodger games! What more could you ask for out of a brewery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place has a cozy vibe with a nice outdoor section.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a more chill and relaxed brewery with great beers!

Decent pizza at this brewery. The beer was ok. Lots of variety with ipas, wit, stouts, kolsch and whatnot. The space is very bright and inviting a mixture of benches, couches, and small coffee table like seat and tables. There is an outdoor patio section which is nice when it's not raining. The staff was nice and good with explaining their beers. The pizza was great. I tried the jeepnep and it was slightly greasy but the bread and toppings were good. The tater tots were a little bit soggy or undercooked. Maybe it was fried too fast without enough time to crisp. Overall decent place to be at for a happy hour after work and trivia on Thursdays nights.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very Welcoming brewery![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came for the stout... Tank Farm was delicious. We also ordered the German Chocolate Cake - Chocolate Vanilla Stout. Very smooth. Great for beginners and for the experienced. Don't miss trying the Citrus Aftermath IPA. Great for someone who doesn't like IPA's. Thanks Michelle for being so welcoming and introducing me to a great IPA. We will come back when we are in town again

We had a great time at the brewery. The woman at the bar is very nice and we met one of the owners who was great. We had two half pizzas, the Jeepney and GTX Muscle Car, and both were delicious. The beers: King Kolsch (great) John Wit (good) Jolli Beer Peach Mango Lager (great) Proud Mary Irish Red nitro (very good) German Chocolate Cake Stout (great) There is plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor and lots of space. We will be back.

I never knew this brewery existed until a co-worker told me about it. It's near Downtown El Segundo in an unassuming area that would have such a place. I went after work on a weekday, and it was a bit quiet. It was almost like we had the place to ourselves. Food and drinks are good.

Our server Mark was great and explained the menu and popular dishes. We started off with crab cakes and had the branzino, sea scallops and lam chops for the main course. My daughter had grilled chicken and french fries. BTW, the french fries were delicious! We all enjoyed our meals. My lamb chops were perfectly cooked at medium-rare but a little under seasoned. They brought me a salt and pepper mill to season the chops. I was a little surprised that they were under seasoned. I asked for iced tea refills and they were obliging. The meal was moderately priced but for the ambiance and good quality, it was worth it. The service was spot on with plenty of staff attending to our needs. The most challenging part of our experience was finding parking. There's plenty of metered street parking and limited parking lots near the Manhattan Beach pier.

Belamar review…read more Overall a great hotel and , if I can secure a similar great price, I and my family will happily stay again! The highlights: - the staff were wonderful (all around). The front desk staff were courteous at every step in the process (check in, questions throughout stay, following up on a few small issues that occurred) and at checkout. The valet staff were wonderful. They worked REALLY hard to ensure cars were ready in five minutes (often less than that) from when you requested it (via text) and the restaurant staff was very courtesy and the food was good - Valet was quick (I can't emphasize this enough). I was slightly annoyed that it was valet only (with a rental car I get a wary of others driving) however they were fast, courteous, and kept the car cool for me. Also, I recommend paying for valet when you book as I had the option to buy $25/night parking instead of $45/night parking where booking on the Hilton app. - Use of the hotels bicycles was a major highlight. I rented bikes twice. At the time of my stay (May 2026) there were only four bikes. They are first come first serve so I recommend renting in the morning. They had baskets and came with locks and helmets for a very affordable price. The staff (especially Ozzie) was great at getting them quickly rented out to us and showing us the features (they are one speed bikes so they are basic but perfect for cruising along the beach). - The room was spacious, clean, and had a mini bar fridge in it (with the option for a full fridge and access to a microwave near the business center). I appreciated the ability to tip the staff virtually with credit card in case you don't have cash. - The restaurant was convenient, service was good, and the food was good - Noise level wasn't bad, I had a room facing the main road and wished I would have booked a courtyard room, however the noise was barely noticeable and never a disruption (I come from a city where I am use to ambient noise) The not so great things - For late night gym goers, the gym is limited to 6am-10pm (probably because the gym is beside several guest rooms and they want to be courteous to those rooms). However the gym is well stocked small gym (three treadmills, a peloton, and several different racks of weights and areas for stretching) - The hallways smelt a bit dank when I first arrived (although the rooms themselves smelt very fresh) and I noticed several automated deodorizers in the hallways (likely to help with this) and staff were doing a comprehensive carpet cleaning when I checked out so I would expect this not to be the case in the future. - The indoor/outdoor pool was a bit dated and didn't leave much to be desired, but it's an option.. for those who don't prefer the beach and there were towels available.

With that being said it is an absolutely beautiful hotel, for certain people with certain tastes and styles, honestly it wasn't for me. First off, they offered a welcome margarita, which is a nice gesture and takes away the blow of the bill I guess, if you drink alcohol, which I don't. I would have gone for a snack but they didn't offer. They told me that the resort fee allows you a few special things: one was to get a discount for Equinox while you're in town. I laughed when they told me that because I'm on vacation and while I'm all about fitness, I'm not about to go to Equinox and workout, plus I was only here one night passing by. They also said to go to one of their restaurants in town and tell them that you are staying at the Shade Hotel and they will take care of me. I thought that was really nice. The third perk to this resort fee was that you got a credit at the bar it was $20 towards food or drink. I was told that if I don't use the credit at the restaurant or bar that they will put that money towards my bill and credit me at the end. I'll touch on that later. I walk into my room and I thought I was going to have a seizure or that a migraine would come on soon because they had these hideous neon blue lights bordering the bar in the room and the bed. I thought it was so tacky and awful like I was in Vegas or even better Atlantic City. The room was absolutely enormous and I had a balcony but these lights were so bright and blinding I knew there was no way this was going to fly for the night. I went downstairs and the guy explained to me how I could dim them. Baby, I don't want dim I want off. Luckily when I got back up to the room I was able to dial them completely off. The room got much better at this point except for the jacuzzi tub smack dab in the middle of the room, next to my bed, literally. It was so odd. SO odd. The bathroom vanity was open concept, jacuzzi tub then my bed. It was not for me. They had these door things you could use to close the area off, but I just have one question, why? Why was this an idea that came to fruition? The toilet had a separate area with a door. I don't know, it was weird to me. Also, alcohol everywhere in the room, bottles upon bottles. Snacks for purchase, drinks in the fridge for purchase, the usual. The amount of alcohol was shocking to me though. The TV was pretty small and awkwardly positioned a bit from the bed, the bed was comfy enough, had a good night sleep. Woke up the next morning and upon check out just double checked to make sure that the $20 would be credited to my room if I didn't use it at the bar and they said that's not a thing and they don't do that. So I'm not sure what the guy was talking about the night before. Anyways, I didn't want anything to drink so I grabbed two orders of fruit to go. This fruit, lol. It was wildly expensive for what I got I'll leave it at that. Some melon, berries, it was disappointing. Very loud at night I will say that they had the music going late, which I'm not ever going to complain about in the moment but I'm just mentioning it. What else what else. Perfect location, walking distance to everything, extremely convenient. Try it you may love it! Still think it deserves a good review because it was very clean, that's number one priority in a hotel for me.
