Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Both of my friends ordered the Pan-Seared Chicken Breast, one with rice and the other with fries. They loved the cream sauce so much that they wished they had more! Of course, we also had plenty of drinks. We tried The Park, Island Time, and Drop It Like It's Hot. Every drink was strong, and the different flavor combinations worked so well together. He enjoyed the salmon meal. I loved that they offered tastes of their crab soup with a side of bread. It was my first time trying such a dish and it was delicious!!! I did find it interesting how every female waitress/hostess was the same shade of light-skin mixed with silky hair while the male hosts/servers/runners were of all looks. Lastly, if you'd like entertaining/worthy bottle service these ladies don't deliver. The rooms are fine and had everything I needed. There were lots of restaurants well within walking distance. The check-in and checkout process was smooth and easy. Staff was friendly enough. The lobby looked impressive at first, but it was filled with kids almost all the time, which made it far from relaxing. We also found the lobby area to be a poor representation of the hotel overall. The room was not only dated, but it also looked and felt more like a 3-star hotel. The bathroom door was damaged, and the ceiling had been patched in several places. There were no cotton swabs or shower caps provided. The hotel bar looked just as dated as the room, and the service there was laughable. Overall, this was one of the worst Marriott hotels I've stayed at.

Before hand, there was an option via the website to check-in early for a fee. I did opt for that and once physically there, the kind staff found us a room for early check-in. I think the line used to be an old church and you'll see remnants of this throughout the hotel. The room was simple and reflected the time period of the building, though the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The door slams if you let it shut on its own and it's quite loud. The venue for the party was on the opposite side of check-in and there is a large stairway leading to the party. It was a great space. The location in DC was also convenient to several restaurants within walking distance.

Dacha did fill up quickly, but with plenty of seating and an open section with standing tables in the center, there was still room to move around. With the glass walls surrounding us, we felt like we were in a garden. The noise level, while high, was not as bad as Solace, and we were still actually able to hear each other. Our server did not check on us as time went by, but she did bring us waters as soon as we were seated, which really exceeds my expectations for a beer garden. Our food and drinks arrived quickly and were super tasty. Both the flagship lager and IPA were drinks I'd order again, and as a vinho verde admirer, I appreciated having that as an option on the HH menu. While the skinny burger is delicious, the real star of the HH menu is the fried pickles, homemade and flavorful and piping hot. I'm eager to go back for another pregame and try the HH cocktail, perhaps sampling something from the regular menu as well.

We were in town for a 50th anniversary with a large family group--kids, grandchild, everyone--and it was important for us to have adjoining rooms on the same floor. The hotel absolutely delivered. GM Nerone and her team were fantastic in coordinating everything. We ended up in a newly renovated section of the hotel, which was a big upgrade from our first stay--everything felt brand new and very well done. Huge shoutout to Jerico Buenico and Anne Donovan for staying in touch, making sure we were set up properly, and even helping us navigate the dedicated Hyatt parking. That kind of service goes a long way. Staff across the board--front desk, bell staff, housekeeping, everyone--were friendly and responsive. Any request we had was handled quickly. And you really can't beat the location--connected directly to the mall, which makes everything so easy. Great stay, great service, and perfect for families traveling together.
