Basic pizza that's slightly above a chain. It literally looks like a Domino's pizza, especially the bacon and ham toppings. Taste is decent, slightly sweet sauce. I wouldn't get again, but I wasn't offended. read more

I usually don't order pizza delivery, to be honest the delivery people are not usually that friendly. That was not the case when we ordered from 5 star pizza. The young man came to the door and apologized because the order took awhile. He was very friendly and courteous. What a nice change! So thank you and we will be ordering again. This used to be a really good pizza place, but the last 3 times I ordered from here I was very disappointed. I've been a loyal customer since they first opened but I might have to find new pizza place. Last time they put a ton of sauce on my pizza I could barely eat it, another time they both the garlic rolls and this time I ordered (my usual order) an xl pizza with half pepperoni and half tomatoes & onions, well when I got home the entire pizza was covered in onions. My daughter doesn't eat onions, we had to take off a bunch of onions off the pepperoni. Basically whoever's in the kitchen lately isn't doing a very good job. Yesterday was our first time ordering from this restaurant. We ordered a 12" half pepperoni and half cheese, a 16" Hawaiian with garlic butter crust, and a 16" half pepperoni, ham, bacon, & banana pepper, the other half green pepper, pepperoni, & mushroom with garlic butter crust. Great pizzas! A little greasy, but good. I was VERY disappointed that on one of the two 16" pizzas we ordered did not have the garlic butter crust I ordered it to have, so they lose a star there. Especially since it was my idea to have that type of crust and the pizza I wanted/ate was the one without it. This is known to be the new pizza shop on the block. Nobody thought they would grow so fast, but you know what... they did. This place delivered hard. Their food is delicious and they keep having so many different sales and deals that you really cant beat the price for the quality of food. They have great pizza and great wings. First of all I am originally from the east coast and have traveled extensively throughout the country. I love Five Star Pizza. Stop comparing to New York, Chicago etc... you could go back there and live and order pizza!! I've had terrible pizza in both cities! The Bradenton location I use has always been great. I love the spinach and feta pizza. I love their crust and sauce. The salads and wings have always been good. I don't care about the person checking me out or delivering just the pizza. read more

Visiting from out of state and found them on Yelp. I was excited to see the option to pay for a discounted voucher on Yelp to use in store. After placing an order online, I was told in store that the voucher wouldn't apply to my order due to having a "special" pizza in my order. I asked what options there were and also explained I was from out of town and wouldn't have another chance to use the voucher another time. I was told that nothing could be done and I had to pay full price. In the end, they could have just removed the "special" (~$1.50 savings) and let me apply the voucher, but instead I spent a total of $46 for 2 pizzas. The pizza was decent and no major complaints there, but the lack of helpful options in customer service is why I can't recommend this place. read more

We have tried nearly all the pizza places around the IMG area for carry out. This is definitely one of the all around best. They serve a good NY style pizza with a good amount of high quality toppings, REAL cheese and at a reasonable price. They are very convenient to order from with their website and they have never gotten our order wrong. (You would be surprised at how many of the other places have). It is always done when they say it will be and the employees are always friendly and efficient. We will continue to get our carryout pizza from Five Star ! P.S. I had a Local Flavor coupon so I thought I would give this place a try. I highly recommend the eight-piece garlic bread. Seriously the best I have ever tasted. I will definitely be back for another pizza and/or try some of the other stuff on their menu. I was surprised to see the variety. Yesterday was my first pizza from the Bradenton store and it was really good. Next time I'll probably ask them to go a little heavier on the sauce as the pizza was a little dry. This could be because I did not eat it right away. My only complaint would be the girl at the counter. The ticket on my box said 3:18PM so I doubt she was just waking up. Walking in there was no smile, welcome or even how can I help you? Than leaving not even a thank you. To top it off we put a couple dollars in the tip jar and she glared at us as if we were taking $ out. It looked as if she would rather be at the dentist than in that store. If I was management I would switch her out with one of the employees that was laughing and having fun(or at least putting on a good act) out back. read more

So I have ordered for delivery from here before and bot been disappointed. Tonight a much different story. I ordered 20 wings and a small salad online. The total came to 25$ an some change. What I received was 10 wings and a small chefs salad. Salad was $3.99. I called saying they forgot the other 10 wings. A man with a british accent I believe was short with me and said I only ordered 10 wings. My response was 25$ for 10 wings and a small salad? Yep. Too bad. I liked their pizza a lot. P.S. Absolutely fantastic pizza! The HUGE 24" pizza will easily feed a family of 8! My kids are the pickiest eaters ever....and they both LOVED this place! Also, do NOT order from here without getting the GARLIC ROLLS! At $3.99 for 8 rolls (with sauce) they are an absolute steal! The butter garlic sauce on them is absolutely amazing!! Really impressed with this place. Our first order, the delivery driver was a bit late and gave us the wrong pizza (only to remedy it later as he had the right pizza in his car) because of this error the supervisor gave us a $15 credit! I'm so disappointed! We were excited to try this place that we've heard good things about. Unfortunately, the buffalo chicken pizza had barely ANY sauce so was dry w about 2 little shaved pieces of chicken on each slice, they didn't toss the chicken bites in sauce as ordered, and they forgot the blue cheese side. The order only took 20 minutes which the delivery guy bragged about - but I'd rather wait 45 minutes and get a correct order with good food! Bummer. read more

Loved the double pepperoni pizza we ordered with chicken bites. The sauce was zesty, and the slices were thin and delish. The cheese and toppings slightly browned. It arrived 20 min after I placed the order online. It was so fast! I lived in Gainesville and was happy to see the local chain move down to my neighborhood. read more
