I came in at 7 one day for a quick pick-me-up. As someone getting into espresso, I wanted to try this cafe's to taste its quality. When I came in, there was only one girl doing the front, bar, and oven, and there were quite a few people. It seemed overwhelming and I think having more people on staff would've made everything better. I hope this was just a one-off thing and not a regular occurrence of being understaffed. She could only warm up my spinach pastry for a few seconds, and the espresso I had was on the more citrus/sour side. With more attention on the espresso and more time on the pastry, it would've been way better. For what it's worth, she was still attentive and kind in her service. I also had their matcha latte a few months back and I was underwhelmed. I hope the cafe is receptive to the suggestions because this place does have a lot of potential. read more

Cute spot! BUSY at 2pm on a Saturday. Every seat was filled. Coffee was good. I got the cereal milk latte and it tasted just like the name- but Fruity Pebble style. Got a bit too sweet half way in and I had to ditch it, but it was good while it lasted! Husband got an espresso. It smelled a little on the burnt side, but I was really surprised when I drank it that it was actually very smooth! I saw some really cool drinks going out, I just don't know what they were. To be honest, I'm surprised this place gets busy and gets good reviews. The staff was unpleasant. It was super busy so I understand some of the chaos but not one employee smiled at me. The woman who took my order was very distracted and another employee interrupted her and I as I was ordering and it was very awkward. I felt my business didn't matter. I brought my own personal cup and asked for the milk in my drink to be steamed to kids temp. It was not. I burnt my tongue and had to ask for ice cubes to cool my drink down... the pastry pinwheel I chose wasn't very good or memorable and I felt things were pricey. I was very disappointed with my first experience here. Sad because I was super excited to give this place a try but I will definitely not return if staff can't treat me right or get my order right. The spinach pastry was really good and flavorful but still cold inside. The cold brew was very light and tasted more like an iced coffee. The cookie butter latte sounded so good but sadly didn't taste like cookie butter at all, it did have what seemed like chunks of cookie inside the drink which just got soggy. I did ask for some lavender to be added and I really like the lavender syrup. Service was really good and employees were really nice and friendly and fast. I like that there's outdoor seating outside of the café, which worked out well since we all brought our dogs. The menu is straightforward with a full espresso bar of drinks and some pastries and light bites. I ordered a dirty chai, which comes with two espresso shots and my friends and I shared some pastries. Everything was solid. I really liked that my dirty chai wasn't sweet, tasting mostly of the tea and espresso. If you're looking for a coffee shop that's local in the area, Last Frontier is a good one to check out. Meh! Was super hungry so stopped by on a rainy cold evening. Got an Oatmilk Cortado and a Brioche sandwich to go. Took my order, and ate it almost immediately while driving. Coffee was tepid! Like they forgot to actually warm the milk. The core of the sandwich was ice cold. Quite surprising as it was assembled right in front of me. The egg was not warmed at all or warmed enough. There's also plenty of tables and seating, with countertop and couch options as well, but it was quite busy so all the seats were full. They use beans from Kuma Coffee, which is local to Seattle, and I appreciate that they use real cups rather than disposable! It really adds to the chill-at-cafe vibe. Parking was super easy, and the ambiance inside was super nice! There was a comfy sofa to sit on, as well as plenty of seating and plants scattered throughout the cafe. I ordered a pour over and a spinach and cheese pastry, both which were pretty good! Overall, I really liked the feel of this coffee shop, and their food + coffee is good too. I'll first say that I like that there's a coffee shop around this area because that means there will be plenty of parking! There's also a Toyota dealership right next door so if you ever need to go to the dealership and kill some time...you've got an option here. I came around 11:30am on a weekday and there was ample parking. I actually took a peek inside before going back to my car to get my work backpack because I saw that there wasn't a lot of space inside. There are a handful of tables, 3-4 lounging chairs, and a handful of bar seats. The coffee shop itself isn't too big so all of the tables and lounging chairs were taken and I luckily found a couple of bar seats left. As far as the ambiance goes, it's cute and has a chill vibe but is definitely better for conversing than studying/working. it gets quite loud, even with noise cancelling headphones. I ordered my usual coffee shop order - a pastry and a hot chocolate - and got my items quickly. To be quite honest, I appreciate any coffee shop that can make a good hot chocolate because a lot of shops tend to overlook the non-caffeine menu items. This was unfortunately not one of those times. I felt that the hot chocolate didn't have a strong chocolate flavor so it was more of a steamed milk. I also felt that the chocolate chip cookie was okay and weirdly also needed a stronger flavor. Maybe I need to come at an off-hour next time but if I do come back, I hope to try different drinks and pastries. read more

I ordered the lychee sparkling matcha. It was possibly the worst thing I've ever had. It tasted like plain sparkling water. Couldn't taste the matcha or lychee flavor. One friend had the matcha latte. No matcha flavor, it tasted like plain milk. Worst matcha I've ever had. It tasted like they bought it from the dollar store. If you told me it was matcha I would have said you were lying. My other friend got the chai latte. Also was not good. It tasted like milk that some spices had breathed on. My third friend who was there got a mocha. She used to work at Starbucks. She said that this mocha tasted like soy sauce. Kind of like "when you work at Starbucks and accidentally drop coffee on the ground and it sits and mixes with water. This tastes like how that smells." Ambiance of the cafe was great !! I really hope this coffee shop sticks since there have been 2 other coffee shops before at this location that just didnt work out. I love what they've done to the place to make it more cozy with the fireplace and seating. The look and feel of the cafe is real simple and asethic with plants. The place was super busy with work people and students and honestly hard to even find a spot to sit sometimes. The baristas were working hard but looked like they were understaffed with only 2 people and tons of customers. We weren't even acknowledged until after 10mins of waiting at the counter to order which I get they're a small business but still customer service is so important.
