    Shrimp Tacos

An amazing spot to relax, grab some great food and drinks, and watch sports games. The sports bar is beautiful, with plenty of rooms and many TVs around. When I came, they were playing a Dodgers game, but I'm sure they show various types of sports when the season begins. Now for the service, we were greeted by Xavier, and he was phenomenal at explaining the popular drinks and food. Plus, he always came and checked up on us for anything we needed. We got seated at a nice round table with a TV next to it with our reservation, though I'm not entirely sure if reservations are needed, at least at 6 PM on a Friday night. When we sat down, they served us a bowl of popcorn, which is complimentary for everyone. Now for the food, these are the items I tried. Lantern Salad - Super refreshing and unique salad. They told me this is a trial salad, and I liked it. A nice start to a meal. (3.5/5) Shrimp Tacos - Pretty good. These come double-wrapped, which I typically prefer single-wrapped tortillas, but the flavors were solid and they came with salsa. Nice! (4/5) Ahi Tuna Tostadas - Would totally recommend this one. The fish was fresh on a nice crispy chip. Well-balanced flavors. (5/5) Bulgogi Ribeye Boats - This is from happy hour, and I personally enjoyed this one. My wife said it was a bit spicy for her, but I liked it. If you enjoy potato skins/baked potatoes, this is solid. (5/5) Five 5 Burger - This is another item from the happy hour menu, and it's a classic, nice burger. Kind of tasted like In-N-Out. No fries if you order from the HH menu, though, but the burger itself is nice. (4/5) Cuban Sandwich Baguette - They celebrated National Sandwich Month, and this was the selection from when I came. It's a nice, toasty sandwich, and it was really good. Came with fresh-cut fries as well. Solid. (4.5/5) Chef's Bread Pudding - A must-get if you have a sweet tooth. It's heavy and the portion is quite large. Personally, I would share this with 4 people. Yum. (4.5/5) Drinks - I forgot what drinks I got, but they were some blueberry and watermelon drinks with non-alcoholic liquor, so they can pretty much make any drink without alcohol if you don't drink. Really satisfying. (5/5) Overall, this might be my new go-to sports bar for happy hour and to watch Lakers games. Excellent service from Xavier and the staff, with delicious American-style food located at the Marriott in Monterey Park. Parking - Super easy. Marriott has an underground parking lot, and they give 3 hours of complimentary validation while eating here. You can also park across the street at Atlantic Times Square parking lot and walk over if that is your cup of tea too.

Stopped in to check out there HH. I've heard great things about it. Our server was new and really tried his best to answer our questions. They have a cool drink order the boiler a must try... ask for Real de Valle is was smooth. We also tried the hot dog and another appy. We parked on the side free for 3 hours. We were there for less than an hour. Service was a bit on the slower side. Loved the complimentary popcorn.

Great Happy Hour menu and great place to watch any sports game! They also have lots special events from whiskey tasting to tequila tasting, and live band!

    Japanese Old Fashioned

We came in on a Sunday evening and they had told us that they had just started making Sunday all day happy hour. For drinks we ordered the Japanese Old Fashioned ($10), and a couple draft beers ($6 each), and for food we ordered the Five55 Burger ($12 for burger only) and the Pepperoni Flatbread ($17) (the only item not from the happy hour menu). The drinks were great and it was nice to spend some time down there to just chill and relax and have a couple drinks. The food was okay, I would think it's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's more to keep from drinking on an empty stomach. Our servers were great. They kept checking in on us to make sure we were doing well. They were all so nice and were quick to bring anything we requested to us. If I just want to chill and talk with some friends this is a nice place to hang out. It's not too loud in there and they even have some games to play. It's in a convenient location for me so it'll be a good spot to just hang out outside of my house.

Lychee Margarita, blackberry lemon drop, lychee martini, Paloma

Our bartender Eddie was great! All drinks were made to perfection just the way we like them. Highly recommend coming here, a great way to wind down for the night and chill.

Went here after work for a quick bite with a friend. Firstly I want to start off by saying that service was really nice and effecianr! I left my debit card at the restaurant and they kept it safe for me which is always a good sign. The dodgers were playing so it was a bit loud as people were cheering but over all it was a clean aesthetic environment! The food was ok. I had the chicken strips and it had advertised like a Korean flavor but it wasn't showing up much and a bit on the dry side. Either way! I would probably try it again.

Bar Food 10/10 it's an Asian fusion type. We ordered the chicken nachos this time. They have happy hours on Saturdays Service 10/10 friendly and fast Ambiance 10/10 especially for game days. It's a sports bar as well.

Came last night at 11:15pm. They close at midnight. As soon as the waiter saw us walk in, he gave us that look that he didn't want to serve us. He sat us and said last call is in 5 minutes. That's fine, we placed an order for 2 cocktails and a pitcher. He told us they are not doing pitchers because they are almost closing. Wtf? So we placed an order for a few beers which essentially was the same amount as the pitcher but it cost us more money. When the check arrived, we were not charged happy hour prices. I questioned him about it and he asked us "what day is today?". I had to remind the waiter that today, a Saturday, the place that he worked at, offered late night happy hour. Unbelievable. I used to come fairly often for drinks and bites. I am never coming back.

What an amazing spot! --especially for a hotel bar! Me and my friends came in accidentally for a World Cup game and Louis was stellar--also all by himself. The food was on point and the atmosphere was better than expected. 10/10 would come back again!

Nice restaurant and bar within the Courtyard Marriott hotel. We were seated quickly and made it just in time for happy hour. Options for happy hour were pretty good and all of the drafts were included. If you're staying in the hotel, I'd visit for the convenience and the bar. Restrooms are clean and smelled great. The only food we weren't fans of was the wings. They were cold and not as flavorful. If I'd paid regular price I would've been upset. Staff service was nice and was given suggestions for drinks by the server. Also got some popcorn for the road for free. Would be a cool place to watch sports on happy hour.

OMG this bar is it! If I lived closer I would be here all the time! Everyone that I have brought to this bar has loved it! They say this bar is nice! Hands down the best lychee martini and lemon drop. The bartenders know how to shake the martinis up where you would for sure be like yep this is it. Good here is eh. If you go for anything just stick to the flatbread. But other than that drinks are amazing! My son had the old fashion and really liked it! This place is it!

We had a really great experience and honestly weren't expecting everything to be as good as it was. I thought it was going to be more of your typical American bar-food kind of place, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the time we walked in until the time we left, everything was great, great service, great food, and an overall great experience. The restaurant is very open and spacious. When we walked in, the guy told us we could sit wherever we liked, so we found a nice, comfortable booth/table. We started with the garlic parmesan fries and calamari, and both were really good. Our server was also able to customize my burger exactly how I wanted it and was really on top of everything. The only slight issue was that my salad came out last, after the rest of our food. I actually thought it had been forgotten and was about to cancel it, but then he brought it out. Thankfully, the salad was good too! The icing on the cake was the Warm Bread pudding, absolutely delicious and made in-house! That was definitely a great way to end the meal. Will definitely be back, especially to try lunch sometime!

I remember being entranced by the red boat exterior whenever we passed by. Sometime after 2007, the Galley moved around the corner on Rosemead Blvd just south of snow-topped sister Clearman's North Woods Inn. A driveway to the parking lot and a small, very cute fire station separate the two. The signature boat is still out front, but is decorative only; the Galley is now a huge space behind it and is pretty much a family-friendly sports bar. There are massive TV screens, plus some smaller ones, and much sports photos and memorabilia throughout. And there are a number of classic model boats, including the Titanic! The tchotchkes are of course mostly LA-centric and professional; I didn't see any collegiate items, although they surely show big college games in season. I remember The Galley service being cafeteria-style, and the two "tracks" you'd move your tray along are still present, but now only accessible to staff. Diners place their order with a person or at a kiosk, and you are given a number to place on your table, fast-casual style. There is a full bar with bartender and barstools. There are also cocktail menus on all the tables, but I don't know if you order these at the bar or if someone comes around to take you order. The food menu is classic and broad, with apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, chicken and seafood options. We came for DineLA lunch, just as we did at North Woods Inn a few days ago. There were 3 options for lunch and 2 for dinner, all serving 2 people, plus 3 Family options that serve 4. We chose the Galley Combo for lunch and ordered it to go. It included 2 sandwiches (4 choices--grilled or crispy chicken, beef dip, Philly cheese steak), fries to share and 2 sodas. We also tried their beer-battered zucchini sticks and onion rings. We both got the beef dip sammy with everything (cheese, peppers). It was nice, as was the dipping jus. The wedge fries portion was pretty large, easily shareable. The sodas are refillable if you dine on-site. The zucchini sticks were identical to those at North Woods, but a smaller portion, lesser price and no dipping sauce. The onion rings were okay, not very crispy but the batter was light. Niggle: we were charged $.50 each for the ranch and blue cheese dipping sauces! Overall a nice meal. I'd dine on-site next time for the free soda refills, ketchup, mustard and malt vinegar. There are many items I'd like to try.
