Imagine relaxing on the second floor of the Lincoln Plaza Hotel in Monterey Park, where you can find the brand new terrace lounge/bar/restaurant - The Belvedere. This is not your typical hotel hangout. This is a hip and trendy spot that brings LA style nightlife to your doorstep. You can enjoy the fresh air and the sky view from the open space, or cozy up in the chic indoor dining room. Either way, you will be treated to an international fine dining experience that will blow your mind. The food here is simply amazing. Everything is freshly prepared with quality ingredients and exotic spices that will tantalize your taste buds. You can choose from a variety of dishes, from India inspired thin crust pizza to Chinese classics, from Mexican street food to St. Louis-style spareribs. And don't forget to try their Stuffed Mushrooms and Chicken Tikka, which are out of this world. To complete your perfect evening, you can sip on one of their many cocktails, beer, margaritas, whiskeys, wine, etc. They have something for everyone, whether you prefer a classic drink or something more adventurous. And if you need a break from the party, you can head to the dedicated smoking area, where you can enjoy a cigarette or a cigar in peace. The Belvedere is the place to be in Monterey Park, whether you are a local or just visiting the neighborhood. It's a hidden gem that will make you feel like a star. Don't miss it. Bring a date, best friends, or your family along.

    chalky!

We tried this place the other night. Thought it'd be a nice change from our usual local SGV joints. Boy were we disappointed! First off, it was dead. Literally the only ones there on a Friday at 7:30. Think we surprised even the workers. Secondly, and my biggest issue, was the food. Check out the photos. We're talking Digiorno frozen pizza, frozen taquitos, and frozen fried zucchini. Mind you, listed were priced at $25, $15, $14. My girls old fashioned was $20. Jokes on us I guess. I got hosed! Also, a request for water was met with "oh we're sorry, our tap water has too much salt in it, so we only serve 8 types of bottled water". We're looking to add to our list of SGV spots! Unfortunately The Bel won't be making the cut! Where's Gordon Ramsey and the Kitchen Nightmares crew when you need them the most?!

    Tables and scenery

Small lowkey rooftop bar in Monterey park, great service, never anyone here. Opens at 5pm but worth it with the fire pits and the vibes, definitely bring a jacket might be a little windy sometimes but all around recommended! If yall were wondering it used to be a different restaurant before COVID, new owners now and new name ! Come check it out! Didn't try much of the food but HUGE selection of drinks, just about anything you want they have !

Ambiance is super warm, the service and bartenders are amazing as well. I can honestly say this is one of the best bars in the 626.. Aesthetically pleasing and the drinks are actually made well. They don't use that shitty sweet and sour mix, a lot of syrups are made in house, they have a nice selection of spirits and the overall speakeasy vibes are immaculate. If I could come here every weekend I would! It's a nice spot to bring your girl after dinner or if you're on a date.

I asked for an order of elote fries and she completely ignored me and walked away. Our drinks and food came out, but no fries. I went up to the bar where she and an Asian guy were making drinks. I stood there for a couple minutes waiting to be helped and both of them walked by me without saying a word. When I finally asked about the fries, she told me nobody placed the order. I told her I literally asked her for the fries at the table and she ignored me. Instead of apologizing, she just said "okay" and walked away. Making a mistake is one thing. Acting like you don't care and refusing to take any responsibility is another. Nobody apologized, nobody tried to make it right, and the attitude was awful the entire time. Definitely won't be back.

We ordered some mixed pitchers of soju (Lychee and then Peach). They were tasty and NOT weak sauce, so we appreciated that. We followed it up with a bottle of Jinro Green Grape ( I don't like Good Day or Soon Hari), so I was happy. We had some deep-fried batter zucchini, but the batter was too much and made it dense. However, the army stew was pretty good, so we mostly ate that to complement our drinks since we were celebrating my bday. I drink half of my calories nowadays. Overall, it was a decent place. I would return if someone asked me to go and would definitely come here than drive all the way to K-Town.

I was pleasantly surprised when I sent an email to the address on the website and received a reply with the password in a little over thirty minutes. After parking, we didn't have any problems finding the entrance even though it is not marked. Look for the big wood double doors and doorman standing in front. After giving him the password, he opened the doors and we walked in. We were surprised in several ways. The place is way bigger than I would expect for a place named "The Speakeasy". And at 6:30pm on a Sunday, we were the only guests inside. Only one other couple came in during the 30 minutes we were there. I would assume they are a lot busier on Friday and Saturday night. It is dimly lit, and very red inside. The bar is large with many bottles of liquor on display and many seats. The rest of the space is one large area that must have at least 20 tables, and the ceiling is high. It gives off more of a nightclub vibe than a speakeasy vibe. I tried the Naked & Famous cocktail which has two of my favorite spirits (Vida mezcal, aperol, yellow Chartreuse, lime, $18). It was nicely balanced with a good mix of smoke and herbal flavor. She had the Pablo's Poison (Altos reposado tequila, strawberry, lime, jalapeno, elderflower, $17). The jalapeno flavor really stood out with strawberry and elderflower in the background. They have a good cocktail menu with almost twenty cocktails, as well as a food menu with ten items. Walk up to the bar to order your drinks. Jeremy, the manager, and the female bartender whose name who I didn't get were nice. We aren't in Pasadena very often, and while they have a good cocktail menu, I don't know if we would return. We were expecting more.
