This is a cute space, and I'm sure it would be great to sit in the evening to have dinner out on their patio area. I got the fish and chips and I thought it was okay. I enjoyed the flavor of the batter, but I found the fish to be cut too thickly so it was pretty wet and mushy in the middle. The tarter sauce was nice! I also found the plate to be very awkwardly small. There's street parking to get here. There's loads of seating both indoor and outdoor. They have shaded covers for outside so you don't get too toasty outside. Plus they have a tv for watching sports. The staff are really nice and friendly. It's very chill and casual here. They have you sit down then arrive to get your order. The menus are on the QR codes on each table. I got the BKB burger medium rare. It was delicious! I was able to easily eat it all. The food is well portioned. Even with the fries I was just full. I also got the strawberry mochi cake. We hosted a 30 person birthday gathering here on a Saturday night and everyone was so welcoming and attentive. On top of that, they called to check in a few times beforehand to confirm the reservation and let us know about the mandatory service fee and give us a heads up that food might take a while for larger parties. They had reserved 3 larger tables in the back which worked perfectly for us. We had multiple servers attending to us and the drinks/food kept coming. Service was absolutely exceptional. We had lots of young kids as well and they never complained about them being there or running around. An easy, fun, delicious experience to host larger gatherings. I could not fit my mouth around the burger because the beer-battered pollack was so large, which is not a complaint at all. It was super crispy and piping hot since it was fresh out of the fryer. I thought $18 seemed a bit steep at first but this lasted me two meals because I got full so quickly. I ordered it with mixed greens as my side so that it could act as a palate cleanser to balance the fried food. This place was so fun with our dog! There is ample outdoor seating for brunch in the front. The patio is covered in tarp or you can eat under the side of the building. There are also heat lamps for those chilly days. If you drive by too fast you might miss it and there is street parking only. I think the alley is in the back but not sure if there is parking there. The place was more of a hipster Eagle Rock vibe located on the south side of Monterey Park by the 60. Service was prompt and friendly. They always filled our water glasses and made sure we were ok. I had a craving for chicken & waffles (A+) and this place popped up. The chicken was crispy and tender and the waffles cooked to perfection. The peppers added a nice kick to the dish but it wasn't overpowering. I prefer this over Howlin' Rays tbh. Happy hour menu is over priced and the food isn't very good. Portion sizes are extremely small for what they charge. 2 tacos for almost $10, but each taco is like the size of street tacos you get outside. Each taco has only 1 piece of shrimp, and each fish taco has 2 small pieces of shrimp. Cajun fries are $7 and are just like any other frozen bag of fries you get at the supermarket, but again, in an amount comparable to what you get at fast food restaurants. The ribs are extremely expensive, and only come in 4 small little pieces the size of a pinky. There's not much meat in there either. Would not return. read more

Located near the 60 freeway on Garfield, parking is fairly easy to find on the street. It's a hip little burger and brew joint that has very friendly service. The menu is not huge. It's basically a few burger and sandwich items. They have seating inside, but the inside is not huge and keep in mind the music playing (a blend of euro house and indie hip-hop) can be loud. They do have a rather large outdoor patio attached to the side, where many people chose to sit. On to the food and drink. They offer a good variety of brews on tap from various microbreweries, as well as some wines and soju cocktails. For food we got the fish and chips, the BKB burger (a bacon, cheese burger), and the steak chimichurri sandwich. All three were great. I would say the stand out was the burger, though the other 2 dishes were really quite good. Their flavor combos are kind of original without going bonkers. I'm sure there are other things we'd go back and try like the fish burger (a high end fish filet) and the hot chicken sandwich. All in all, this is a reasonably priced, good eating gastropub. We had an amazing dinner last night! The wings are unbelievable with a perfect crispy outside (we got lemon pepper) and a juicy inside with lots of meat. These chicken wings are BIG!
