Didn't know about this spot but food is ok, service is fast. Mainly outdoor seating. Good place for large gatherings.

A nice little local joint in Monterey Park! The service was excellent as we were checked on often, but didn't feel rushed. There is plenty of patio seating which is also pet friendly. They'll even bring a bowl of water out for your fur baby. And they had the Dodger game playing during our most recent visit. My hubby and I have only been a couple of times, once for happy hour and another visit with a larger group. We've enjoyed everything we've tried so far but our favorites are the elote egg rolls, ahi tuna nachos and hot chix sando. We will definitely make a return visit.

There's street parking to get here. There's loads of seating both indoor and outdoor. They have shaded covers for outside so you don't get too toasty outside. Plus they have a tv for watching sports. The staff are really nice and friendly. It's very chill and casual here. They have you sit down then arrive to get your order. The menus are on the QR codes on each table. I got the BKB burger medium rare. It was delicious! I was able to easily eat it all. The food is well portioned. Even with the fries I was just full. I also got the strawberry mochi cake. It was good and just sweet enough. Definitely share it, probably with 3+ people. I'd definitely return to try out more of the menu!

been here twice and i love everything about this place! lots of seating, friendly service and top notch food and beer. oh and their patio is also pet friendly. my only complaint is that this place is only open thurs-sun and closes at 10pm lol ~ food: elote egg rolls: 10/10 simple egg roll with just cheese and corn inside but it's so delicious fish n chips: 10/10 i love how large the fish pieces are. it's very crispy and well seasoned also tried a variety of beers and they're all great ~ ambiance: very cute and cozy with string lights ~ parking: street parking available

Visited this place for the first time and had a good experience. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. The staff were nice, and there's street parking available. The parking lot was not available because they used that space for outdoor dining. I tried the BKB burger and fish and chips. the fish was large and crispy!

Really would give 3.5 stars. Service is okay, not great. But they are really accommodating for big groups. Food, for the most part, is good. I enjoyed the fries but the fish with the fish and chips was the worst fish I've had. Wings were good, ahi tuna nachos were okay. Ube cheesecake is pretty good. I didn't try the burger, but others enjoyed it. Best thing I had was the bang bang shrimp. We ordered food to share so food in pics aren't full orders.

I did not expect the fish burger to be this big when it arrived in front of me. I could not fit my mouth around the burger because the beer-battered pollack was so large, which is not a complaint at all. It was super crispy and piping hot since it was fresh out of the fryer. I thought $18 seemed a bit steep at first but this lasted me two meals because I got full so quickly. I ordered it with mixed greens as my side so that it could act as a palate cleanser to balance the fried food. The staff was very kind and it was pretty empty both inside and outside when we went for happy hour on Friday but more people started trickling in as we were leaving. There's parking in the back or street parking if it's full.

Really good chicken! Didn't have any beer so I can't speak on that but our food was good! Chicken juicy and seasoned to perfection. We were seated right away on a Sunday early evening. Friendly staff, and they have plenty of outdoor seating with a GIANT tv to watch whatever sporting event. I can't wait to come back!

This place was so fun with our dog! There is ample outdoor seating for brunch in the front. The patio is covered in tarp or you can eat under the side of the building. There are also heat lamps for those chilly days. If you drive by too fast you might miss it and there is street parking only. I think the alley is in the back but not sure if there is parking there. The place was more of a hipster Eagle Rock vibe located on the south side of Monterey Park by the 60. Service was prompt and friendly. They always filled our water glasses and made sure we were ok. I had a craving for chicken & waffles (A+) and this place popped up. The chicken was crispy and tender and the waffles cooked to perfection. The peppers added a nice kick to the dish but it wasn't overpowering. I prefer this over Howlin' Rays tbh. Would definitely order this again along with other dishes when I invite more people because the chicken & waffles definitely fed 2!! A non-pretentious venue that is pet friendly and will be on rotate for my future dining options.

Wish I discovered this place sooner - it's been an absolute go to spot for me and the boys! Satisfy your cravings with a hearty Fish Burger or Chimichurri Steak Sandwich and down it with their signature cocktails or many beer selections on tap. They've got parking in the back alley so be sure to tap in there or with street parking right on Garfield. Such a vibe with their patio and nightlights - kick it here sometime if you haven't!

This place always offers great beer and food. This time I got their Banh mi , so good. It's a mix of roast beef and aju.

Couldn't believe what I saw on both Yelp and Apple Maps, 4.8 stars and over 100+ reviews and this spot is in Compton, my city. Didn't even know a spot like this existed. Busted a u-turn going down Alondra so I could go back to Atlantic then make that right and slide to Compton Blvd and make that left. A few streets from there on your right side you'll find boulevard gastropub. Sitting next door to some other business which is right next to a big parking lot which is free by the way. I've parked in this lot at least a couple of times just to go to that taco truck and never noticed gastropub. Immediately when I walked in it was good vibes and the sense of a good atmosphere. I was greeted by the owner and a young lady who was the bartender. The owner is real cool. We had a short conversation I shared with him how I discovered his business and informed him I do reviews as well as post some content on my social media platforms in hopes of businesses receiving more attention and customers. Unfortunately, due to them not having an alcohol or liquor license, some of their drinks such as the cocktails are more so wine based drinks. So please don't come here expecting to get some Don Julio or Hennessy. Ain't gone happen lol. I had a Classic Mojito and enjoyed it. The price was $10 which I found exceptional. The food was delicious. I recommend the Blvd Burger as a go to if you can't decide on anything else. I loved it so much I had to make a video. And definitely try the Voodoo Wings. You won't be disappointed. Just imagine buffalo wings with lemon pepper seasoning. Cuz that's what it is and they're fire. No bs with the ranch dressing too. I'm definitely returning for another visit. I can see this being a new frequent spot to pull up to and hang out. I love the ambiance, my drink, the food here and the customer service. All things to be considered when going out and spending money. What I spent was definitely worth the first time experience.

It was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their burgers. Overall, the prices were better than most places, especially considering the quality. Definitely worth a visit.

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars.
