Ive seen this place on yelp plenty of times but never visited. Today i cane to watch the dodger game. 20 mins in the owner jr comes in and introduces himself. Jr is sooo amazing talkative friendly and loves to socialize with the people where can you find someone like that??? Honestly 100/10. Thats just hospitality. Tried the pastrami pizza AMAZING!!!! The Margarita tasted like water. The iced tea, tasted like water. The chips were stale in both baskets. The person taking our order kept disappearing. When she got our order, it came out wrong. The pizza, the cheese tasted like the 4 cheese bag that you get at Costco. No flavor, no mozzarella cheese or pepper flakes offered. We ordered 6 steak plates. 4 medium well...1 medium 1 rare. 2 with asparagus, the rest with potatoes. 5 came with potatoes. No steak was rare. All well done and one medium. First time after the new ownership. As we walked in, I felt that it was very humid and very warm in the main dining area. We had a group of 8, so they seated us out in the warm area. Maybe it was a ploy, but I needed to order a pitcher of beer. The greeter was friendly, but he didn't know much about the daily specials. He stuttered a bit and just told us he needed to ask. We all were complaining to ourselves about how warm it was, and we asked the greeter if they had a/c. He answered that they had just turned it on. My first thought was, why didn't they turn out when they opened. It was 3pm. Our waitress came out to take our drink orders and to tell us what was on the menu. She was amenable, courteous, and super friendly. I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich with Onion Rings. I first dug into the onion rings. The onions were a bit soggy, but the fry was good. The sandwich was not flavorful at all. Even with the bacon, it was plain. It was very dry as well. The environment in the bar area where we moved to since the dining area was too hot was very loud, and you couldn't even hear the person right next to you. Originally we were supposed to go to the Chinese restaurant next door but I'm so glad we changed our mind and decided to give Hole in One a try. The ambience and customer service were amazing. Valeria our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The owner of the establishment Jr, came to our table and took the time to have a conversation with us. I was there the day a vendor was there behind harassed by a customer and apparently the young guy's estranged father hates him so much that he's trying to hurt him and damage his relationship with the bar and his job. We have been going to this restaurant even before the new owner Jr. purchased the restaurant and changed the name from Mr. M's to "Hole In One". We went today for our first time at the new place. Will we really enjoyed ourselves. I love the new menus. Less is more in my book. It was so easy for me to decide on what I wanted to eat because it was easy to find everything and it wasn't a 5 page giant menu. Bar service was fast and drinks were good. The service was great and fast and it's Labor Day. We got our appetizers before are food came and it was good. A few minutes after we were done with the appetizers are food came and my Ribeye was tasty. We love sitting and eating in the bar. I get to watch sports, hear good music and whoop it up. We love to have a good time. Jr. the new owner was so nice and helpful to all of us. He is an owner who is present not absent. We will definitely be going back again with the peeps. However unfortunately the female Latina waitress asked my husband what he wanted to drink as well as the whole table of 7 total. Everyone got their drinks except my husband & myself (we are a married mixed couple of 27yrs, I am Latina he is white)so we asked her & I couldn't believe she said she did not serve our table (she had already brought the last drink to our one table) & states we didn't place an order with her & to ask the young Latino waiter what we want, she was not going to serve us. My husband went to the bar inside & this waitress continued to bring the rest of our table drinks & food but completely ignored my husband (the only white person in the whole place) & I the whole night.
