My experience is incredibly frustrating. I have been in contact with them for a good 4 weeks. The insurance company has issued the check and repair estimate. I have called them almost twice per week. I have gotten a ton of excuses such as: " the girl who is handling your case is on lunch I'll tell her to call you back.", "let me contact the insurance company for the estimate and will call you back". I never heard back from them so I always initiated the calls. Weeks went by and still cricket. Today I called again and they finally said: " they can't order the parts and recommended me to go to the other shops." This should have been the answer a few weeks ago so I could move on. They kept me waiting for a good month while the insurance company has done everything in their power to get my car fixed. While Karina is extremely nice, I would not recommend this shop. Go somewhere else and get your car fixed. Do not trust what they said on the voicemail about no delays. Procrastination as its finest. They wasted my entire month while I could get my car done fixing already. read more

Not only did they fixed my front bumper to brand new they also detailed and washed my entire car (inside and out) and saved me $175 had I done it myself at a car wash. OH, like an idiot, I backed into a tank-like Mercedes Benz and smashed in my quarter panel and bumper into smithereens... For fun, I guess. "Dammit," I thought... "who the hell is going to fix that without it costing a fortune?? and without butchering my poor subie for this cosmetic surgery procedure?" Actually that's a more censored version of what I was thinking at the time.. I took it to a few different places, and decided on autowerks cause they gave me a reasonable price and they use quality paint. 5 days later, my car transforms back to the black beauty queen it was. it looked like nothing ever happened to it!! UNBELIEVABLE! I can still go on carfax and say, "see? no accidents! heh heh?" and probably get away with it! whoo hoo! (not that I would lie.. or anything, but still.) I was surprised by the paint matching, cause my black is a very complicated midnight-blue-pearl-black... it ain't easy!! I found some spots that turned out to be just wax, but the guy stood there for like 30 minutes in the blistering sun buffing it out for me anyway.... thats what I call service! Took my car in to get fixed after an accident and they were pretty courteous in the beginning. Was told that they'd call me with updates and it would take approximately 3 weeks to finish repairs. I didn't get any calls and the total time to repair car was 2 months, plus another 2 weeks after because I had to take my car back in due to peeling paint. The accident was not my fault, so the other party's insurance paid for this one. They charged their insurance almost 11k for minor front-passenger side damage. At first, I was thinking, great they have the funds to do the best job possible. Replace bumper, passenger door, hood, fender, headlights and a few other small things. Should be quick. After the first three weeks of no calls, I had to call in every other week just to get an update. It would always be something like, we're doing this and that and almost done, yadda yadda etc. When it was finally done and I went to pick it up, there was something odd about the paint. For some odd reason, they decided to repaint every panel BUT the roof and rear bumper. Now granted, my car is Satin White Pearl, and before taking my car in I specifically asked them if they would be able to match the paint, and of course they said yes. I told them about the terrible paint matching upon pick up and they said, "rear bumper is plastic, its normal." They also tried to upsell me on a rear bumper repaint for $350. I know about the plastic bumper sometimes having a slightly different shade, but this was an entirely different kind of white. THEY PAINTED THE WRONG COLOR OF WHITE. Awesome. A week later, the front bumper started peeling off, like scotch tape on drywall. They almost denied the repainting of the bumper claiming that they dont cover rock chips. This took another week. --Two years later, the repainted panels are dull, as if the clear coat is gone but my rear bumper is still shiny. WTF kind of paint job is this? I garage my car every single night and the paint still looks like this after 2 years? It bugs me every single day I drive the damn car. read more

Autowerks is awesome! I've been coming to this place for paint ever since my 2nd car in 2004. Peter's dad was running the shop then and I would have to come in when Peter was working to get a "hooked up price" lol. Anyways, Peter is running the shop now and he is a honest/genuine guy, had one of my cars repainted twice over here and the results were always great. I even gave the wrong paint code to Peter once, and he repainted it for me for free since I've been a loyal customer for awhile (don't be giving Peter the wrong paint code on purpose and expect him to repaint it for you for free). Peter uses high quality paint and provides high quality paintjobs, I know he does mostly insurance work now but when they used to do custom widebodies and aftermarket paint jobs, they were all flawless and show quality. There's a lot of auto body shops around, but the hard part is finding one that does great work AND is reliable and trustworthy. For me, Auto Werks is the place. My friend first referred me to this place when a car reversed right into my hood (at a stoplight, no less), and I've been going here ever since - I think that was about 5 years ago! I just stopped by this week to have them take a look at some minor damage - they were very honest about how to get it repaired, and even helped me out with a temporary fix while they ordered the part. Last year, my mom's car was hit twice on separate occasions and both times I took it in to Peter at Auto Werks to get estimates and repairs done. Auto Werks pretty much took care of everything from start to finish - did a lot of the insurance legwork, helped her get a rental car, and more. They even finished a day or two earlier than expected, and kept in touch with her so she could pick it up ASAP. The whole process was also really transparent, and it was just nice to come to a place and not have to worry about getting ripped off or taken advantage of. It made a stressful situation a lot easier. They did a really good job on the car too - it looked just like new!
