Took my car in Monday morning to get the front bumper painted "which was a zero charge repair due to the paint pealing from their original repair a year or so ago" Picked it up the next day bumper looked "okay," but my hood was covered in massive scratches and the hood release was broken. When I confronted Enrique, the so-called manager, he was rude, unhelpful, and tried to tell me they "never touched the hood." Seriously? You have to open the hood to remove the bumper nice try. They damaged my car, lied about it, and gave me attitude. Absolute joke of a shop. Avoid this place at all costs. Would give 0 stars if possible! A couple weeks ago I was in a minor accident. The passenger side of my bumper got scraped, I took my car, a 2021 Nissan Rogue to fix auto to be repaired. They fixed the bumper and painted it. Came to get my car fixed up after a light hit on the side of my bumper. Fix auto set up an appointment to check it out and took it in working two weeks. Left my car with them for only 1 week and came back happy to see the results! Everybody was so kind and informative of everything going on with my vehicle! Was on my way home on Monday the 24th of December when a board flew off of a pickup in front of me on the freeway....after a couple cars went over it...it flew up and I smashed into it..broke into pieces and knocked out my drivers side mirror and scratched up the car hood, side, front and mirror arm. I had initially gone there to get my estimate done with Geico and was going to find another place to get the work done, but I'm glad I didn't. I am in the midst of restoring my 1986 JEEP CJ7 and brought in my dash panel to be painted. This is by far the best painting I've ever seen on anything, it is so smooth and shiny I can almost use it as a mirror to shave. Why should a customer have to return their car to a service organization to have the work completed properly after already being called about their repairs being done? When I picked up my truck and upon the walk around with the service advisor, I immediately noticed the paint had an 'orange peel' appearance and they said they would take care of it . . . in 30 days after the paint cures completely. OK fine; but upon a further visual inspection found an adjacent panel to have been scuffed by the sander used while prepping the actual paint area. Then when fueling up, I noticed the prep-sanding had extended into the fueling door area, but not re-buffed out. I took the vehicle back immediately and showed the advisor and the manager as well. They agreed to fix that as well. But why should a customer have to return their car to a service organization to have the work completed properly after already being called about their repairs being done? Yes, this was an insurance claim and they have been made aware of my displeasure, but I had already surrendered my rental that day and now must make arrangements in the future for this additional work to be performed. At least the body repairs looked straight, hence the second star. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence for Henson's Fix, but why should I find it out myself? It appears they are thinking the 'everyday' customer would not notice this less-than-premium paint and finish. Please hold your mechanics accountable for substandard work. Read my other reviews. We originally came here because AAA recommended them. We called to make an appointment to obtain an estimate. We were told the soonest that they could provide an estimate was 3 weeks out. (Three weeks for an estimate?) Although we thought it was quite a long time, we agreed. Apparently, what they meant was 3 weeks to provide an estimate and start the repair. What bothers me about this is their plan was to provide the estimate and THEN order parts, meaning that our car would be sitting in their lot for who knows how long, while they waited for parts to come in. We went to another location where they provided an estimate within minutes and let us know that we can set the appointment for repair when all the needed parts have arrived. They wanted to charge me over $1500 for my broken windshield. Took it to a local mom and pop shop and they fixed it for $200. Don't support corporate greed and poor customer service. Claudia, my advisor, was extremely unprofessional and unethical upon me picking up my vehicle and going over the repairs after a car accident through Travelers insurance. After the huge impact my vehicle took from a car side-swiping my entire passenger side on the highway, they were quick to repair the body damage, but nothing that pertained to the vehicles safe operation internally. Also they had to replace both passenger side doors, and when they replaced the front passenger door, they disconnected my speaker and didn't wire it back correctly. I took it to Toyota, and yes, the wiring was loose. I also insisted that my car needed an alignment, but Claudia argued, not advised, but ARGUED with me that it didn't, and that I was uneducated in thinking anything could affect the alignment besides hitting a curb or something directly with my tire. Certainly if something as simple as hitting a curb could throw off the alignment, so could a major impact and traffic accident with another vehicle. At Toyota, to no surprise of mine, the alignment was way off!!! The staff here doesn't seem knowledgeable or rightfully concerned enough about repairing ALL the damage a vehicle incurs after a major car accident. They take shortcuts and only care about fixing the damage that YOU can see!!! I'm less concerned with paint or dents, and more concerned with the safety and longevity of the machine itself and the tires attached to operate safely as it did before the accident!!! read more

There is absolutely no competition. If you want superior quality service, factory finish, a friendly staff, and regular updates on your car, do yourself a favor and choose Henson's. I've gotten at least half a dozen cars painted at different body shops across San Diego and I can personally testify to the quality of Henson's. Getting your car painted can be tricky when you're as meticulous as I am because matching shades, tones, flake, etc. across different panels is not as easy task. More over, 9/10 body shops think they can get away with just spraying the color code and being done with it. That is NOT the case with Henson's. My service advisor Mayra took my case very seriously and recommended that we blend the paint across multiple panels to ensure a seamless job. Jessica and Suzanne were working hard on the office-side making sure to schedule me and keeping me up to date on the status of my car as well as chatting me up while the behind-the-scenes work was completed. I've had my car serviced here TWICE now and I couldn't be more satisfied. Every panel matches, every part was installed correctly, AND they even took care of a massive rock chip on the hood of my car that happened to be within the blending zone! I'm almost happy that my car was in an accident! Did I mention theres a LIFE TIME WARRANTY, as long as you own the car. What else could you ask for? I took my Nissan Rogue there today after I hit my friend's fence (shhhh my husband thinks someone hit us) and it left a scrape on the side of my car. First Curtis looked at it and said he thinks it didn't get the paint. He went to get some cleaner and rubbed most of it off. Then he said he would take it to the back and buff and put some polish on it. He got busy with a few people coming in at the same time. When he brought my car back, you couldn't even tell I hit something. I asked him how much I owe, he said Nothing!!!! My bumper has a couple "boo boos" so he asked I bring it back to have the bumper done. I didn't even have an appointment and they were willing to help me. The parts replaced, didn't flash straight and the hood came back with wide new scratches. They tried to polished out the scratches but with limited success. It's still visible. Not recommended. Maybe in other cases they performed better, but our experience was something I wouldn't recommend. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR INSURANCE REPAIRS! We learned this the hard way. We were sent here by AAA and were getting quotes from 3 different places. The car was involved in a hit-and-run so we weren't there to witness the incident. The estimator actually called the insurance carrier to tell them he thinks it happened in multiple incidents--I suspect it was because he was irritated we were taking it to multiple places to get bids! Mind you, we had already taken it to one shop who gave a bid ($1,900) and found that the damages were consistent with the singular incident. Thanks to these guys, the carrier is now denying the claim and said if we want to continue, they'll raise our rates. I noticed someone else here had a similar experience as well so it's not a one-off. read more

Don't go here for your auto insurance repair work. Jerk who worked there falsely asserted vehicles damage was the result of THREE different accidents, despite the damage all being in the same area. This shop had no records of actually doing any repair work on the vehicle. Then he took the liberty of calling my insurance adjuster without my knowledge and telling them the same. Now my adjuster thinks it was three incidents and wants to collect three deductibles!! Don't waste your time with these idiots. He informed me that they only use the best quality paint and I can say it definitely shows. I love this place!!! Last month we had our bumper fixed and it looked great. Later that week we noticed a small clip was broken and the bumper was flapping in the wind. We pushed the corner in but the clip was broken. Life got in the way and we were not able to get it back to have them take a look at it for over a month. I took my 04 Tundra for repairs and that was all fine! When I got my truck back my boxed MTX speakers on the back seats were gone. Naturaly I called them the next morning to let them know. Hansen's had some joker rep call me from Fixit asking for a receipt for my speakers that I've had for over 20 years, I explained to him that the money was not the issue I just wanted something done about it like replacing them! I called them back a few times and ignoring me is the only thing that they did. I won't be going back to a place where I have to take inventory of my belongings in my vehicle. Wow, what a great end to a rollercoaster ride. My 2014 Cadillac SRX had endured front driver side collision after I misread a turned on a rainy night. My car was estimated to be finished 3 weeks or so after receipt, however other damages were noted which extended the service out. Due dates passed about three times BUT Excellence and Integrity in their product was the standard.... nothing less..... and they surely produced! After a few checks and balances, my car was ready for pick up and instead of me going into the shop they came to me. My car looked like it was new!!!
