This was the worst customer experience I've ever had, and I am disappointed that GEICO would refer me to this place. After getting rear-ended, I brought my car here for repairs. There were several points that displayed a lack of professionalism: 1. While showing me the damages, the employee told me "You're lucky you got hit." No matter the intention, a professional should have the communication skills, common sense, and human decency not to choose such inconsiderate and callous language. The accident wasn't my fault, and this comment lacked empathy. There is nothing lucky about getting hit. 2. The same employee quoted me $250 to reassemble the car, then added that it's not something they like to do. When I asked for clarification, he said he ultimately wouldn't do it. Why quote me $250 for a service you're not willing to do? He had no explanation. It is unprofessional to quote something and then not be willing to stand by that. This inconsistency only leaves the customer confused, doubtful of your professionalism and unable to trust you. 3. I did not feel comfortable with this person handling my car, so I decided to take my business elsewhere even though it required extra time and organization. GEICO had my car towed to the next auto shop, and upon arrival it was MISSING its taillights and bolts. Unacceptable. I don't recommend Henson's, and I am disappointed that it was offered as an option by GEICO. It should be taken off GEICO's Auto Repair Xpress list. read more

I was in an accident and had to have my car repaired here. I have had other cars repaired there and had a good experience. But this time was awful. The work was done on time but when I picked my car up it had over spray all over it. When I called and talked with Byron, he argued with me about it being fall out. I had a Detailer look at it and he confirmed it was over spray. My car was smooth all over when it went in there. Byron was very unprofessional when dealing with me. Telling me I was wrong. They did fix it. But had to argue the whole time. They also scratched my tint on my back window which they had to remove from the accident. After the fight I had with the over spray, I never even went back to deal with the window. I'll never go back there again. Sad. Because before this I had good experiences there. read more

Henson's was highly recommend by AAA, so I called to schedule appointment. The process I thought would be easy. I called and spoke with a woman named Susan. She was unable to locate my information. I had mention I was given 2 other names and i was shopping for a shop. She proceeds to tell me about how good they are gave me a cheesy and pushy sales pitch. I felt she was also very condescending. She struggled to answer a few simple questions. She didn't answer any of my import questions and kept pushing for me to schedule a time to repair my vehicle. I am aware how competitive this industry. So I ended up going to another repair facility. This conversation left me with more questions. It may not be the receptionist fault. Perhaps she has been trained to be pushy and rude. read more

About a month ago I had the misfortune of being in an auto accident (not my fault!) My insurance carrier gave me a list of recommended repair shops. I ended up choosing Henson's Fix Auto Escondido. It was painless - I dropped off the car, was provided with the estimated date my car would be fixed (by both phone and text), and they followed through. You can tell they value keeping the customer in the loop which I greatly appreciate. Last year in August I was involved in a minor fender bender on my way to work. I was hit on the front passenger side of my Honda Accord which made a dent and a few scratches right above the wheel frame. I am a AAA member and when I was settling the claim with my adjuster, he gave me multiple body shops to choose from in the area. Caliber Collision was only down the street from my work in San Marcos, so I scheduled an appointment with them for the repairs to be done. However, my sister mentioned she knew of another body shop in Escondido she was also recommended. It happened to be Henson's Fix Auto. Although they were further from home and work, I looked up Fix Auto online and saw they had fairly good reviews on Google (frankly more than Caliber Collision). I went online to request an appointment and within a couple of hours I received a call confirming the date and time. Considering they were further from my work and I would have to leave my car for a couple of days, I gave them the opportunity to repair my car. They were already convenient by offering a late night/after hours drop off service. The receptionists Lauren and Suzanne were professional, friendly, and always so patient every time I spoke with them on the phone. They kept me updated throughout the process and were great at communicating with me, which is very important to me. The tech (which I feel terrible for not remembering his name) was also generous enough to give me a call with an overview of what repairs would be done, and also gave me a ball park of when they'd have my car ready. By this point I was certain I had made the right choice with Fix Auto. I dropped off on Monday night and by Friday afternoon I got a call letting me know it was all complete. I picked up on that Friday evening, which I was thrilled about not having to leave my car there over the weekend (they are closed weekends). The turnaround time was much quicker than I had expected. When I picked up after hours, I was blown away at how well they had done with the repair. They made it look seamless as if the dent had never even been there. On top of that, I was very surprised to see they washed the vehicle AND even did a courteous wipe down/cleaning and vacuum of the interior. Totally unexpected! I can't thank Fix Auto enough for their professionalism and their outstanding service. I completely trust them with my vehicle from now on and can definitely recommend family, friends and anyone else looking for a body shop in North County. Fix Auto did a great job in all aspects (the body work, paint, customer service and price). Lauren was very helpful and coordinated having my car picked up and dropped off at no extra charge. Ruby was great at explaining the work and the costs associated with it, as well as helping find ways to save me money. They even cleaned the inside of my car that my 2 children destroyed. I can't believe they did that for free. The quarter panel work was great and the repair is totally unnoticeable. In total I paid $1,400 for everything and the next closest quote was over $3,000. The employees I dealt with were highly unethical and accusatory claiming that some of my damages were not caused by the accident and they were not going to fix scratches which were in fact caused by the other driver rear ending me. It was not up to the body shop to decide what the insurance company would fix. This occurred before the Geico insurance adjuster, who should be the one to make this determination, arrived to check the damages on my car. I felt as if these employees were scamming me, so I left their business and took my car to a competitor that I could trust. At this point, I contacted my own insurance company even though the accident and damage was the fault of the other driver. My company is now dealing with Geico themselves and my car is being repaired by another company to my satisfaction. read more

Do Your Due Diligence with this shop, if something is not right Call You Insurance and get them involved!!!!! 2016-was not kind to my family as far as accidents goes. This shop received our car that was totaled and handled the tear down and estimate to start the salvage process. While that vehicle was being handled, my other car was hit in a parking lot, no big deal, Fix Auto was great for that repair. This last accident, initial estimate of damage $14K plus, I was told there was $3,500 to go before the insurance would consider it totaled. I advised them $3,500 was not enough room for supplements, I was dismissed. At $19,500 in damages, they NEVER submitted any supplements to my insurance until after the 2nd time it was released!!! The first release the vehicle was returned within 10 minutes and an inspection of transmission and differential was requested, I was called for permission to have both done and when I got the invoice there was no mention of the transmission and when questioning the manager his exact words were "well is there anything wrong with the transmission?" Let's back up to when you called me for Permission to have it inspected and negated to do so. (FYI West Escondido Transmission can do inspections without removing the pan or other parts). They also were in such a rush to get my truck out that I was given a vehicle with no operational brake lights and there was an air leak in the drivers door, if you look at the doors on the driver side of the quad cab the driver door is higher then rear passenger door! Not quality work. The second time it was released I took it for a good drive and then I got under the vehicle to find the rack blown to the rack and pinion steering.....SAFETY ISSUE, not to mention a drivers mount in the engine and the brake sensor that controls traction control, cruise control and the like. I took it to the dealer where I purchased the vehicle and the confirmed my concerns and the total loss person from my insurance stated " the additional damage is ALL accident related and this vehicle should have NEVER been repaired". Sadly that is what I told the shop in December and here we are in march! The amount of Gross Negligence in forcing the repair for financial gain is disgusting. The salvage company will be here Monday to take my truck away, there is nothing worse then giving false hope to someone and it not coming to fruition. INTEGRITY IS DOING THE RIGHT THING ALL THE TIME EVEN WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING!! The issue if the rack for the steering went and I was on the freeway........You now not only put my family and my life at grave risk you put those innocent people next to me on the freeway at risk. The right thing is to refund State Farm what they paid you for the less then ethical work you did. Is the money more important the human life and safety? The answer your looking for is NO There is no negative star rating available for this establishment. The 1 star is far more then what they deserve! read more

Outstanding service. Fix had great communication throughout the process of replacing my quarter panel, bumper, and repairing damage. They sent regular updates and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. You don't get that from many auto places in my experience over the years. I liked working with my service rep Aloha. She knew what she was doing and it showed. She made the process easy. They stayed late on my pick up date to help get me on my way. I really needed my Jeep back for an event, and they were so nice and accomodating getting the job done that night. Even though delays with painting during a humid week would have normally pushed it out another day, they stuck it out a little later. The actual work was fantastic. Can't be happier. The new panel, bumper, paint and tail light all look great. Plus they waranty their work for quite a while, so I felt confident in the job they did and knowing I could come back should I have any problems. My insurance company referred this business to me when a hit and run driver crushed the back left side of my Jeep. I'll start with the bottom line. I would NOT recommend this place to family and friends. I think their work is shoddy and I could have got better quality paint job at Earl Sheib for $99. I want to complain directly with them but on the other hand, I don't want them touching my car again. My car went in to repair the paint on a fender where the clearcoat had broken down. What I got back was a poorly sprayed clearcoat that you can see where they must have stopped and started or came in from 2 different directions. I also found massive overspray on the opposite side of the hood. It looks like they masked off part of the car for this repair and I have no idea if the overspray is from this job or maybe from the booth next to it but is it obvious where they taped off. I also found a few scuffs in places that weren't there before and orange scuffs on the door trim. Maybe from an orange air hose? I don't know but I do know that they did more damage than they fixed. I hand wash this car myself and I know where all the flaws and blemishes are. There was a spot on the front corner bumper that looked like someone put their boot there scuffing it. That was not there when I left it. Neither was the scratches on the back door below the trim. Someone was very careless around my car. When I left the car, I was told maybe 2 days. I dropped it off on Tuesdays and since I hadn't heard a word by the next Monday, I called. They said it would be done that afternoon. I suspect they hadn't touched my car until that day and rushed it through by using one of their interns or janitors. When I picked up the car, I mentioned two clearcoat scratches on the door. The guy said it was nothing and asked if I wanted it taken care of. Are you kidding? Those scratches shouldn't have been there to begin with! He went in, grabbed his glaze and a rag and took care of it. He seemed quite put out. Back to the bottom line. These guys are friendly in the front office and talk professional but the actual work and their attitude is less then stellar. Any further work will NOT be with these guys and I will inform my insurance company of their poor work. read more

Ok so here we go I have recently had a 5 star rating for this place for the work they did on my wife's car. So about a month later I bought a hood for a 2016 Tacoma, I needed it painted and since they did a great job on her car which was a USAA insurance job, I thought il go here to get my hood done. The hood looks great they just missed one sticker on the underside that should be on there . i called Donna on Aug 9th and she said they must have not ordered it, she will get it ordered and call me. I called back on Aug 16 to inquire about the sticker and to also ask if they would paint a bug guard for my truck as well. She stated that the tasker was not filled and she would check and call me back, she also gave me a quote for the bug guard too. On Aug 17 I emailed her about the sticker and asked her if I could get a better price on the bug guard, no response. Aug 18 I got online and ordered my own sticker it was $2.14 (not a big deal) I also got a customer service survey from them and decided to fill it out based on my last experience, (they sent it I didn't ask for it) I used that to vent my frustrations about it. all I needed was a little communication saying we have it or don't and had to order it. I got a phone call form Donna I didnt answer. I then got an email from her saying this. after i sent her this Brody C 1:44 PM (6 hours ago) to Donna Donna, I already ordered a new sticker it was only $2.14 so not a big deal, I know we all get busy, but,I If I get the bug guard in time before I move to Carlsbad on the 11th of Sept. We needed some body repair work done to our vehicle and our insurance company recommended Fix Auto as a nearby body shop. We were given great customer service from the moment the appointment was made. Donna, who handled everything, explained the process to us in detail, and kept us well informed throughout the time they were repairing our vehicle. We had to leave on vacation within a week, and our vehicle was completed on time. It looked as if nothing ever happened to the car, they did a fantastic job. The car was delivered washed even. We had one issue with one of the rear seat belts not working properly. After we returned from our vacation we just dropped by to set up an appointment, but Donna actually took it back immediately and it was fixed within 20 minutes while we waited. I came across Hensons after a few reviews and thought why not, I walked into the shop and was a immediately greeted and told that they would be with me momentarily they offered me water and coffee and I sat down and and a few moments later Debbie came out, We spoke briefly she took pictures of my car, then she began to tell me about the detailed process of fixing my car I thought, OK cool. I left, A couple hours later they called me to tell me the final tally and a few things they were adding to ensure my car would be perfect....at least every other day they called me to tell me to progress on my vehicle, once done I got a phone call and I came to pick up my car and it looked amazing. Went here to get my car fixed and as i was waiting for the the receptionist with the long dark brown hair to finish up my paperwork, 2 people walk in and get serviced by her right away with the paperwork being done suddenly fast and efficiently and then when i inquired about if my paperwork was done so i could call enterprise to get to a branch and she tells me she's waiting on my insurance to call her. I call him and get in touch immediately (she says he wasn't answering the phone) and when i then asked if she wanted to speak to my insurance she then snapped at me saying "what are you talking about? I was waiting for this form" and then as the enterprise driver pulls up she insisted that the two people who had gotten to cut in front of me go first and the driver come back for me and my husband. Not too sure why she had such a problem with us because we barely spoke to her! I then had to leave and get my keys back because I don't want to support a business with such a rude receptionist working the desk. Initially they were not particularly communicative about the status of my car. They also stated that they would notify the staff that I was paying out of pocket for my rental so they could expedite the repairs which leads me to believe that they no intention of working quickly if my insurance company was footing the bill. When I picked up my car the bumper wasn't properly attached. First the girl who it out wanted to just push it on with her hand but then told me that they had put the wrong bolts on and hadn't tried to attach them so I had to wait which they did that.
