I was rear ended waiting at the light that meters you onto the freeway in a car I had just…read morepurchased (2 months ago). Insurance gave me several body shops to check out. I landed on Gerber and it has been a good experience. I was assigned to Emilee H. and Emilee texted me almost daily with updates. I have learned over the years to be patient....especially when it comes to something like this....the last thing you want to do is to push someone to hurry and do a task as important as your vehicle repairs after an accident. Some parts they had to order were a slight bit delayed and to me that's totally understandable - how could anyone think that every part is readily available? That's not realistic. There are a ton of parts under the body that you don't even realize (I do)....so these shops get unfair reviews. Although the accident was not at all my fault - I have to be fair. When I received word that my car was ready I went to pick it up and again I was ready to maybe see something that was not perfect because I had been rear ended and there was a lot of damage - about the only thing I saw was a small cover on the bumper cover that wasn't snapped into place. I asked Emilee if someone could take care of it and with a smile she had it taken care of in just a minute. Three days later I noticed that a piece of trim a barely a tiny bit loose and went back to see Gerber - as soon as Emilee noticed me she was asking if there was something she could help with and again with a smile she walked outside and looked at the trim....she quickly noticed a small clip was missing and replaced it within three minutes. She was happy to help. This is all you can ask for....Emilee has responded to the two minor things I noticed and handled them immediately. I believe if anything else comes up pertaining to the accident that she will be willing to help no problem at all. That's about all I can ask for. I honestly think that the car looks better than it did before the accident. So thank you to everyone at Gerber and I also feel that they will be there for me. They do really good work. I recommend them if you are searching for a good shop when referred by your insurance company. Ask for Emilee!

We brought our brand-new pickup truck here after a rear-end collision that, from our perspective,…read moreappeared to be relatively minor. We understand that additional damage can sometimes be discovered once a vehicle is dismantled, and there may have been parts or supply-chain issues. However, we were extremely surprised that what appeared to be a minor accident ultimately kept our truck in the shop for more than a month, with no clear delivery date for much of that time. That said, the quality of their work is outstanding. We have trusted this shop with our vehicles for years, even before it became Penske Collision, and we have always had confidence in the workmanship. The repair itself was good. Our biggest disappointment was the communication and the extremely lengthy turnaround time. We are still somewhat confused as to why such a seemingly minor collision required more than a month to complete. If you bring your vehicle here, know that the workmanship is excellent, but be prepared to potentially be without your vehicle for weeks... or even longer... with an uncertain completion date.

Value is unknown as I selected because they use manufactured parts. The office atmosphere in general feels stressful and a little tense. There is no music playing for those who are waiting. I feel like you are treated like a second-class customer if you drive a Tesla and take your vehicle…read moreto Safelite, even when you have a scheduled appointment. I was required to bring my Tesla into the shop because the windshield replacement required window recalibration. I was told that my vehicle needed to remain at the shop for the entire day. I made arrangements to take the day off work and expected the repair to be completed as scheduled. At the end of the day, when I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was shocked to find out that they had not even worked on it. While I was there, I overheard an employee state that they had run out of time and that Teslas are worked on last, after all other appointments have been completed. When I arrived, I was then told that the replacement windshield had been damaged. No one contacted me during the day to provide an update or let me know there was an issue. Had someone called me, I could have avoided wasting an entire day off work. Instead, I was left to come back at the end of the day only to be given excuses and conflicting explanations for why my vehicle was never serviced. This was an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. I will not be using Safelite again, and I will be sharing my experience with my friends and family so they can make an informed decision before choosing Safelite for their vehicle repairs.

I've known the mechanic at Izzy Autobody for years and always trusted their work, so I felt…read morecomfortable bringing my car in for what was described as an 'easy fix.' Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. After the first repair, the check engine light came back on within an hour. I returned four times in a week, and each time I was assured the issue was resolved, but the light reappeared each time. It became clear that they were turning off the check engine light without addressing the actual problem, and I ended up spending roughly $300 without the issue being fixed, plus extra money on gas for each trip from Murrieta to Valley Center. Additionally, each message I sent asking for updates was left on read--most likely by the mechanic's assistant, who is also his girlfriend--which was frustrating and felt unprofessional. I finally took my car to a new mechanic, who fully fixed the issue within a single day. I expected more thorough service and communication from Izzy Autobody, especially after years of trust. Based on this experience, I would encourage others to look for reliable service elsewhere. Update- When I finally checked under the hood myself, I saw that instead of fixing the problem they had just tied it together with wire (see attached picture).
