My lexus went in for what i thought was a simple bumper repair. After Sids got It apart they found the damage was much worse than what met the eye. It took three weeks for the repair to be done, the motor had to be pulled out, the suspension need to be taken off and a whole bunch of tweaking needed to be done. After my 3 weeks in the shop i went to pick it up, i got in my car started it and immediately felt and heard something not right. It was put back on the lift right away and it was noted a broken motor mount was missed. Needless to say i was upset about this because i wanted my car back and my rental was out of money from the insurance. Sids ordered the part and made sure i had a car to drive. They picked up what insurance would not pay for the rental. Something i was not expecting. Why give them 5 stars after the whole ordeal? Although the motor mount was missed the rest of the repair was done the right way. Then the motor mount was fixed and the rental car taken car of by Sids. That goes to show me they care about the customer. That is something hard to find these days. The car drives awesome and looks awesome! I would go back any day. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Very pricey, very slow, and very low quality of work. Took 3 weeks to get my car back, upon return I automatically noticed additional damage, and the shop refused to take responsibility. I am changing my review to 5-start. Just got my car back. Really good job done. Looks like Raymond saved the day for me. I hope I change my review in the future when I get my car. But here is what is going now: I dropped my car 09/28/15 in evening and I was told that I would have a quote by next day. The next day (09/29/15) at the end of the day I get call that they were unable to give me a quote. Now on 09/30/15 I get a call but no voice-mail or email with a quote, as I was promised. Today I get a quote but that it will take 30 days to do a job which I think should not take more than 2 weeks. Till today 4 days after the car being dropped of, the work is not started all I have is a quote and my phone calls are going to voice-mail. This is exactly another reviewer said. Horrible!!!! I took my car in here after my bumper was hit by another car. Really sub par work. There is overspray all over my beautiful paint job that I am going to have to pay someone to clay and buff out. There was a big dent in my door. I called them and they said they would have to let Bruno know. I drove it there anyway. Once there they tried to tell me it was there before I took my car in. Even though they could not find it in any of their pictures. I am so disappointed!!! Should have taken my car to Ford. What a mistake. I took my truck into Sids after it was broken into. I was pretty upset at the way it was left by the thiefs. Sid told me he'd have back to me and I wouldn't notice it was ever broken into. He was right. My truck came back looking brand new and no trace that it had been damaged by the thiefs. I highly recommend them for any damage to your vehicle. read more

If you like to be scammed and be told one thing and have another completely different thing said/done when you go to drop your car off, then Sid's is the place for you. They gave me an estimate and told me a day to drop it off and when i went to drop it off the estimate and time it would take changed. Well I have to give it up to sids one gentlemen who stood out the most Bill. I was in an accident on the 8th of Oct. In my 2015 Camry I was at a stand still on the 805 when was rear ended from another car doing about 50mph so yes my car was in bad shape. My car was taken in on the 9th an was given an out date of Nov. 13th I dealt wit Bill an I never had any problems he kept me updated every 2 to 3 days and answered any questions I had and he was able to get my car out a week early I would recommend this shop to anyone ask for Bill. This place is a joke, junior the manager handles your questions with answers like "we did a lot of free work on your car", when things are not fixed he says " we never looked at that"..Then when you keep asking questions junior the big time manager responds by hanging up...This is the 2 nd time SIDS has screwed me and its the last, be warned if anything goes wrong don't bother calling them they will just hang up..they get one star because you can't give 0 which they deserve.. read more

I can't say enough how happy I am with Sids! I was rear ended and the gentleman's insurance recommended a list of repair locations so I asked on Facebook and three friends had great experiences with SIDS and they were in the list so I went with them. I dealt with them for over a week, having my two small children with me a couple times and they were so great! They offered us free ice creams which kept the kids happy, they had a rental place there crazy fast, Billy called each day to keep me updated on the status of my car, I forgot a couple things in my car that I had to go back for through out the week and they were just so darn helpful and nice! I just HAD to make sure to spread the good word because I truly was so happy with their service and also how nice my car looks! I had a thank you note on my dash with mints, my daughters little Beanie Baby cat next to the thank you note.. my kids loved that! Nothing but praise for this company! read more

SID'S body shop is probably a good place and the paint job match was amazing. However the agent that dealt with me was initially curt business like bordering on rude, and his name is BERNARD. Other reviews extol RON and CJ so if you go there deal only with them. My driver side front door was damaged and the window squeaked and slid very slowly up or down after the repair. I waited a month to see if it would with use move faster and stop squeaking but it only moved slower and seemed to be straining the motor. So I took it back to BERNARD who said he saw no problem and since he had not seen it move before their work because the window was jammed by the dent in the door, I indicated that the window squeaking suggested to me the guide rails were probably too tight against it. BERNARD said the inner works were not part of the damage and I could talk to the insurance people if I wanted to. They said that I had to prove that slow squeaky window was accident related then they would pay for repair. I only wanted an easing of window tension and perhaps lubrication ie take the panel off and put it back on. Finally I asked a mechanic friend to look at this - he took the panel off in no time and saw no damage. He simply lubricated all the tracks and guide rails. Now the window moves twice as fast as before without squeaking all in about 1 hour's work. The 10 clips holding the panel had 4 broken clips so we decided to ask BERNARD for these -they have drawers of these and could have sold us 4 -BUT WE WERE BLOWN OFF BY BERNARD with GO TO AUTOZONE. Front bumper on my 2 yr old Honda Civic was scratched when another driver ran a red light. Wasn't horrible, but it wasn't all shiny new (still low mileage). Insurance company sent me to Sid's. Bob provided the estimate, said it would be an overnight job. Everything was smooth, beautiful job including a car wash (sweet), down to the thank you card and mints left of the dashboard! Can't tell that anything ever happened to the car. Paint color matches. Straight forward, did what they said they would, easy to do business with. Definitely would recommend. read more

Sid's Auto Body was great! Raymond checked me and was very helpful in getting things taken care of (getting documents and information from the other's person's insurance company). Bob then took over and he gave me updates along the way told me about the parts coming in and the work being done. He called me up right when it was done and upon getting my car back, everything looked great, work/paint everything seemed to be fine and my car was back to new! Overall, it was a truly disappointing experience. The first time I got my car repaired by Sid's the paint was bubbling afterwards. The gentlemen helping me swore up and down that the paint just needed to settle and it would be fine. Fast forward a year and the paint is chipping everywhere that Sid's repainted during the repair. Since the paint was under warranty, I brought my car back in. When I returned to pick up my car, I came back to a cracked front bumper that was incorrectly installed and bowing out on the ends, right below my lights. Bob, Junior, & Sr. all tried to convince me that my bumper had always bowed like that and proceed to convince me of other incorrect information, just like the first time when I said the paint was bubbled. On top of that they also forgot to repaint the driver side door panel. Which is one of the spots they agreed to repaint initially. Luckily my parents had dropped me off and were present to make sure that I did not get taken advantage of. Being a girl they assume I'm naive and don't know what i'm talking about. I've never been more disappointed in men then seeing them also try to be-little my mothers intelligence because they felt threatened by her knowledge of cars and unwillingness to accept their poor repair work. Working in customer service myself, I find it sad that my car sat there for four hours prior and no one had the decency to inspect it a little closer and take pride in their work. Instead, they were going to let my drive off the lot with a jacked up bumper because they did not want the inconvenience of having to repair it, again. I need to have the rear bumper fixed on my Prius. The dealer told me that Sid's did all their work and that is who they would send it to. While I was having the oil changed in my car my service rep took photos and sent them over. I received an estimate when I left the dealership. I made an appointment and scheduled the work to be done. From the time I drove onto the lot my experience with this company was exceptional. Junior explained all the work they were going to do, gave me an estimate on time of completion, and said he would buff out some scratches I had him look at on the side. So, two days later....I called Sid's in a panic. I totally spaced out and forgot to ask that they take the $125.00 bumper protector off and install it on my new bumper. The protector prevents the top of the bumper from getting scratched when you are taking things in and out of the back. Junior told me it had already been installed on my new bumper!! Oh, I was relieved. I went over the car when I picked it up and the work was immaculate and the scratched in the side were gone. I had NO issues getting Junior on the phone, answering my questions, calling me etc. I recommend this company without reservation. read more

My Tacoma had some paint issues on the roof and hood within four years of me purchasing it. I talked to Toyota of El Cajon and they agreed to pay for 70%of the repairs to the roof and hood. Unfortunatley they sub all there paint and body work to Sids. I agreed, and brought my truck there. The work was done and I took my truck home. The next day I noticed hose drag marks and other various scratches down both sides of the truck. I brought it back ,and after two days, they managed to get all the scratches out, and in front of me said, "another f-up from the sids in lakeside". That winter the windshield they had to pull to paint the roof started leaking. They sent a guy out to check it out and all he did was squirt some caulking from the inside of the truck. Nine months later I had the windshield replaced due to a rock chip. The glass tech. noted on the invoice(prior to doing the work) rust forming on the roof. (Right in the same area where it was leaking) I brought it back to them and spoke with manager at the La mesa location he basically called me a liar and they were not going to cover the lifetime warranty on there work. After demanding to speak with Sid they decided to cover the roof. This place lacks professionalism, quality, and support behind there work. I can go on about the hood repaint and the piece of window caulking they left behind in the blower motor, but I think you get the picture. Toyota of El Cajon should reconsider who they choose to represent them. read more

I actually made an yelp account just to review this business and it's all because of one person JANICE! She was the absolute best person I could have ever hoped for to help me out I came all the way to this location instead of the El Cajon one that is much closer to me all because of her. I was involved in an auto accident and she was the only person that truly cared to actually help me. She first took my claim because the guy that handles usaa claims was out of town and even after he came back and it wasn't her problem anymore she still went completely out of her way to help me and make sure everything went amazing!! Not only did they fix my car they detailed it! The whole 9 yards it looked like it had just rolled off the showroom, I was amazed!! They also put a cute thank you letter with mints and a free chargers schedule magnet in the car. I couldn't be happier with my experience at sids and I definitely recommend coming here, just make sure to ask for Janice if you can! :) read more
