I needed my passenger side-mirror replaced, and the quote from BMW was over $1,000. Fix Auto was able to do it for less than $450, lower than my deductible, AND it won't be on my insurance. Ruby is AMAZING; she's the real brains of the operation. I shared my parts list with her, and she was able to get the quote down from the initial pricing. OK, it's sad that I've lived in Palm Springs for only 2.5 years, an I already have an auto-body shop the owner of which, Carl, I call "my auto-body guy." The first time I met Carl was just a couple weeks after I moved to Palm Springs from San Diego. Some incredibly rude person had keyed my Infiniti Coupe from front to back. Being expedient, I looked for the closest shop, which happened to be D'Anca's. It got good reviews, so I called over and asked for an appointment. Carl, the owner who I would soon meet, said no appointment needed, just stop by. The cost of the repair was just a bit over the deductible of my insurance policy from Progressive, so I decided to leave them out. Carl and his team got the job done quickly and the car looked like new. I was quite pleased. However, cars are things, they are consumables, they break, wear out, or get damaged. A few months later, in a hurry I backed into a mailbox, leaving a dent in the fender. Back to Carl. Again the fix was less than or around the same price as my deductible, so Carl got to work. A year later, fender bender in a parking lot, my fault unfortunately. Because two cars were involved, we got the insurance company involved. Turns out Carl's shop is an authorized shop for Progressive, so he knows the adjustors and staff at Progressive. Even better, because the job was through Progressive, I got higher priority. (Not that I felt low priority before.) Again, they did a great job in just a few days and the car looked like new again. Repeat a year later. Buy now, Carl knows me by sight and name. My most recent experience might be my last for a while. I got ran off the road, damaging the wheels, breaking the suspension, bending the frame, and dislodging the engine. The insurance company declared it a total loss. Unfortunately the tow truck driver who was supposed to take my car to Carl's shop took 3.5 hours instead of the 60 minutes quoted, and he complained the whole time. I had already had to cancel one appointment and was going to be late for another. I just called Carl, told him "incoming", and that I'd stop by the next day to fill out paperwork. Carl was totally cool with it. The best thing about Carl is that he clearly trusts his staff and they seem to enjoy working for him. When we're finished with paperwork, or I need a secondary service, like wheel repair, a rental car, or just a ride home, Carl thinks nothing of jumping in the car to drive me himself, or even to pick me up a couple of days later. I can't say enough good things about Carl and D'Anca's body shop. If you need service in Palm Springs, You can't do better than going to Carl. read more

WARNING stay away from this "business" three whole months of chaos, drama and trauma. They cashed a check ILLEGALLY from my insurance company. This is FRAUD. Then refused to send money back. Three months of constant calls and emails that were ignored from me, my manager and insurance company. When we rarely did get through to them Hector Arroro was probably one of the rudest most horrible people I have ever encountered. "I haven't got time for this" "you're wasting my time" "I don't care" are a few answers we got while trying to retrieve the money they had illegally STOLEN. We only resolved this situation three months later after constant stress and sleepless nights after we seeked legal advice and involved their head office, who seemed very embarrassed that both of the Hectors were part of their franchise. Stay away at ALL costs. What an embarrassment they are. We are taking this situation further and will press charges for their illegal activity. read more

I've been going to Fix Auto for years they always treat me well. Everyone is friendly and Professional nothing is too small or too big for them to repair. Not only do they fix autobody but any Electrical or engine components. I'm a very fussy guy and they always are able to satisfy my needs that's why I always keep going back. Horrible experience having them review my Mercedes after an accident. Nobody had any clue what was going on and they lost my pictures after I had it in for inspection first time. My car was in fix auto for over 2 months. I was lied to over and over. When they finally did start working on it the started working on an unrelated unapproved issue that forced me into filing a second claim with my insurance... every time I called I was put on a hold for a min of 20 min... often I would hang up over frustration. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen... when I finally picked up my car it was filthy and was missing the hood ornament and front license plate... I would avoid this place at all costs. I think they did a great job on the actual auto repair, however, the pick-up and subsequent incident gives them a 1-star rating. I was contacted on Friday to pick up my auto at 3:30 pm. Shortly before, I was contacted by Jeremiah who said that the computers were down at the Palm Springs Fix Auto and asked if I could pick up my car at Cathedral City Fix Auto. I agreed to drive the extra distance. Upon arrival and payment, I was led to my car by Jeremiah ... it was in the shop area, surrounded by autos crammed in like sardines. We were offered no help to have the car safely backed up so we could leave. Unfortunately, after several attempts to back up the car, we tapped another vehicle and cracked their plastic tail light lamp cover. Today we were notified we owed $503.51 for this tail light cover. I paid it, and my complaint about the cars on the lot being packed in like sardines and no one offered to back the car up was poor business practice. It fell on deaf ears. Stay away ....poor business practice. Auto repair shops should ensure car is parked safely to enable customer to drive away safely. read more

I later found out it was the owner who looked at my car and told me he could do the work for the price I was hoping for. No one else came close. Dropped off my Mazda 3i; spoke with manager, had a very nice talk; I expressed my concern that the color [Velocity Red] would match the front fender/air foil and the slight brushed-dent on passenger door; I was guaranteed the colors would match. After getting back to town a month+ later it was pointed out to me the colors do NOT match at all. The original of the car...still 90% of it is of a two-tone sparkled red...they used a flat red that is quite different. I'm a Detroit-guy as I mentioned to Hector, so my car being done correctly seriously mattered. If I'd been home sooner I would of taken the car back..but the headaches, no transportation for work...I'll live with it until I get it all newly painted. I feel this is quite 'deceptive', they used paint they already had. read more

All good as far as the work on my new Genesis. I recommend them for body work. That said, they apparently forgot my instructions to save & return the RF nearly new Continental tire. Cost to me $200+. Reason: I need to replace the LF tire which now has side wall damage and I had planned on using that perfectly good tire. I was informed that it was tossed by the Genesis dealer when they replaced the damaged rim. I wish they would have offered to replace it. read more
