The following day they canceled the appointment "because the car is too old, & the Palm Springs shop won't replace windshields for vehicles older than the year 2000." Everything stated on the website constitutes FALSE ADVERTISING. They admitted that something "that old is too much work; there could be issues replacing the windshield, it might not come out easily, there could be rust." That translates to "we only want easy jobs that aren't too much work." I went back online to find a different Safelite location where the employees are knowledgeable and not afraid to do actual work. I attempted to chat with someone, but their policy is to block people who don't want their email inundated with false advertising. I've received several of their spam emails, repeatedly offering me more discounts for the car they refuse to work on, and I don't want any more emails from them. So in a nutshell, even though my CRX was garage kept, they refuse to work on it because of its age. I bet if it was a classic Porsche, they'd be all over it. Discrimination at its best!

I called a few auto repairs nearby and was disappointed as they were almost closing and were not taking new customers. By God's mercy, I called Unique Autobody, and Greg answered. Not only he was very patient in listening to the issue, he asked me to take a picture and send it to him. After which he instantly responded and asked me to bring my car, if it was still drivable; else he can arrange a tow truck. I managed to take the car to him. His wife Alejandra is an equally polite and helpful person. They immediately started working on my car and was functional in less than 30 min. Greg also looked up and printed the details of the parts I would need to replace, and explained the issue in the layman's terms, very patiently.
