Since my original review, I have been going back and forth via email with Sherri and Dr. Andrew Cabrera, and the situation has still not been resolved. I want to be very clear based on my experience, I do not recommend this clinic. I have never met or dealt with Sherri in person during my dog's care, yet she continues to email me presenting herself in a position of authority. From what I have been able to determine, she does not appear to be the owner, which raises serious concerns about who is actually responsible for this clinic. I also have strong concerns about whether Dr. Andrew Cabrera had the appropriate experience to perform the type of surgery my dog received, as my dog is still not recovering properly and continues to be in pain. I have had to seek care from another specialist at my own expense. My experience has included: Ongoing back-and-forth emails with no resolution Difficulty obtaining complete medical records and X-rays Struggles getting medication support Lack of accountability and follow-up care In addition, I have seen other public reviews from customers reporting serious issues, including problems with refunds and lack of follow-through, which is extremely concerning. Because of everything I've experienced, I strongly urge others to avoid this clinic and proceed with extreme caution before giving them any money. If anyone has had a similar experience, you are welcome to reach out to me. What should have been a routine procedure has turned into a stressful, costly, and ongoing situation. Don't come here. We had been trying to get our results back for Sandy regarding a suspected UTI as well as for them to respond to our insurance company to provide additional documentation they need in order to file our claim so we can actually use our pet insurance and get some of our money back for the appointment and lab testing costs. The initial appointment was back in mid December. It is now March and we can't get through to their phone number, it doesn't even ring now. Luckily we got the lab results back but we're still needing them to respond to our insurance and they've reached out twice to them directly with us CC'd. My boyfriend Jason even went to go in person in early to mid January to see what was up and the place was closed up and he was told by someone who was coming out of the building (this was at 2pm) that the office would open back up in 6 weeks!! No calls, no emails to warn of the closure, just up and gone for 6 weeks. They're still not answering their phones as of today. I'm just so disappointed by the negligence and we may not even be able to use our pet insurance since they're failing to provide documentation on their end. We tried to see if the pet history we were able to get from their site as well as the test results would suffice and the insurance said they need documentation directly from the vet itself. read more

I am beyond grateful to Fix Parvo ICU. We first learned that our 11-month-old Goldendoodle had Parvo at another facility that unfortunately did not provide the level of care she needed, nor did they explain the seriousness of this virus. Thankfully, my girlfriend found Fix Parvo ICU, and from the very beginning, they exceeded every expectation we had. Connie and Sherri were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and loving toward our fur baby. We received daily updates through text, including videos and detailed explanations of her condition and progress, which gave us so much peace of mind. One thing that truly stood out was the care they took with her feeding. Instead of immediately resorting to a feeding tube--which can be uncomfortable and increase the risk of infection--they patiently hand-fed her every day and offered different food options to help stimulate her appetite. They went above and beyond to ensure her comfort. Her blankets were changed and cleaned multiple times a day, and she was always kept in a clean, calm environment. What meant the most to us was being able to visit her every day. Those visits clearly lifted her spirits and reassured her that she wasn't alone or abandoned. Connie's energy is truly special--it radiates throughout the space and onto the dogs. Every time we visited, the facility was spotless, and she even saged to help clear and calm the energy. She took the time to explain the healing process thoroughly and made us feel confident and at ease knowing our fur baby was in the best possible hands. I am eternally grateful to Connie and Sherri. If I could give more stars, I absolutely would. I hope no pet parent ever has to experience Parvo--it is terrifying--but if you do, Fix Parvo ICU is without question the place to go. My puppies were knocking on heaven's door when all eight of them--and their mother--came down with parvo. I brought three of the puppies and their mom to Sherri, and she went above and beyond, accommodating me after hours and doing everything in her power to save them. Although the momma didn't make it, Sherri nursed my three puppies back to health and is now even helping me rehome them. I only wish I had known about this rescue sooner--it would have saved me so much heartache. UPDATE: Fix clinic reached out to me after my email and were very apologetic and understanding on the phone. They were open and willing to hear my concerns and specifically assured me that they wanted me to feel heard, which I appreciated. The discharge process and safety protocols were explained and the Fix project did apologize for how we received the cat. In speaking with the representative, it does not seem like this specific situation is the norm, and it does seem like this is something that they are taking seriously moving forward. As I mentioned in my initial review, I understand the importance of the work that the Fix project does, and in light of their response to this issue, I do think that overall they are a trustworthy organization when it comes to the care of animals in need. --- I am writing to express my concerns regarding my experience with the fix clinic in Long Beach. I am a huge supporter when it comes to the mission statement of the fix project and others like it, and was glad to find your organization after moving here. I brought in a community cat who is being cared for by my father in law for a spay. He and I both wanted to do the right thing and ensure she didn't have kittens and add to the suffering of the feral cat population here in Long Beach. I brought her in for her appointment and all was well at that time. When I received the email to come pick her up, I did so promptly. I confirmed that the voucher had been applied to the overall cost and was assured it had been. As we walked out with the cat in the carrier, we noticed her entire backside - including the incision site - was covered in a large amount of feces. We immediately brought her back inside out of concern for a potential infection, and were given dry paper towels to "clean" her with. I asked for wipes, and was given wet paper towels. I asked if someone could help us clean her and was told "no we don't do that here." We attempted to clean her up, but she was terrified and out of control, which is unlike her usual demeanor, so we were not able to. The carrier, her cone, and her body were covered in fecal matter, so I made the decision to take her to my own cats clinic to be cleaned up and sanitized, even though she is not my cat. She needed to be sedated again and her cone/carrier needed to be replaced for sanitary reasons. As someone who spent several years working in a veterinary clinic in the past, it is absolutely protocol to ensure that a patient's incision site is clean before discharge. That is post op safety 101. To allow an animal to be discharged in this state is unacceptable and negligent. It is one thing if this happens en route after a procedure, but it happened on site at your clinic. As you know, your services are valuable to the Long Beach community. People come to you hoping to do the right thing, many of whom may not be able to provide follow up care for the animals they bring in. I am sure that everyone at fix Long Beach works very hard, however I am extremely disheartened by the experience I had after having such high hopes for your facility. I got numerous emails about the reminder of my appointment , and on the day of, their offices were closed. their line has been disconnected for weeks and i tried to visit them in person to talk about pricing discrepancies between the application and then the actual consent form. for a cat , on the application it says a pregnat cat will be an upcharge of $50 (my cat is not in heat or pregnant, but its just fact stated. HOWEVER on the consent form they ask you to sign it says a pregmant cat will be an upcharge of AT LEAST $100. meaning they are trying to wrongfully get you to sign the consent without checking so they can upcharge and then state it was in their policy that you signed. but not in the policy of then initial application. its disgusting business behavior. I had the chance to go once prior to the spay appointment and someone in the waiting room told me they were charged $600 because they said their cat was pregnant. this person took them to court and won. This place is atrocious and a scam. any good review would have to be that they got their fees waived Do not come here. the city of Long Beach animal services should also be to blame as they have listed this clinic on their list of recommended offices for spay services. We made an appointment at the end of December for the end of January to have our cat spayed. We got service reminders and filled out all the paperwork. Come the day of the appointment NO ONE WAS IN THE OFFICE WITH A LINE OF PEOPLE AND THEIR CATS OUTSIDE. ONE lady got an email saying her appointment was canceled but nobody else had... THEN we looked and we had been refunded a whole TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the appointment, with no phone call or email saying the appointment had been canceled. Took my dog to be neutered at 7:30am, received a call that he was ready at around 2:15pm. When I arrived, there was a full waiting room as everyone was picking up their pets. When it was my turn, they brought my puppy out who was coming off the anesthesia and very distressed. He could hardly walk or hold his head up. We had a sleepless night because his e-collar was enormous and he was obviously uncomfortable. So, in the morning since I was able to supervise him, I took it off. That's when I noticed that he wasn't shaved and there was no incision. Very long and frustrating story cut very short, they never did the procedure. They gave us a weird explanation about having to shuffle the dogs around their kennels and they somehow missed my pup. But he was anesthetized so I'm not sure how true that story was. It should be noted that I adopted my little guy from a rescue which uses Fix Long Beach for all their animals. The rescue was apologetic and their idea of "making it right" was for him to go back the very next day for the procedure. Although they offered to do all the transportation, there was no way I was letting my dog anywhere near that place again. Now I'm having to pay out of pocket (after having paid the adoption fee) for the procedure because I just can't trust Fix Long Beach to provide adequate care for my little guy. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR PETS REMAINS RETURNED TO YOU!! It has been 78 DAYS, December 30th, 2025, since my sister and I had to make one of the hardest decisions for our pets life. We had to put our male cat Levi, 2.5 years old, down due to FIP. My sister was the one who reached out in mid December to make the appointment and was able to get one for the 30th. They responded fairly quickly and were very helpful and gave good insight to any questions she needed. We made the appointment for the "Quality of Life Exam" with the possibility of euthanasia and if needed we canted the private cremation with the paw print. The total would be $300 if ai can remember correctly. When the day of the appointment came, we walked in with Levi and our mom and sister came in for support. The VetTech, I believe, checked us in and was incredibly kind and helpful. He led us to the exam room and let us know the wait would be a while as the doctor was with another patient. We waited and when the doctor came in, I can't recall her name at the moment but she was young and blonde. I can look at the paperwork and update later. The doctor did her Quality of Life Exam and let my sister and I know that Levi was definitely in the late stages of FIP and unfortunately there was not much left that could be done. We went ahead with the euthanasia and she gave us as much time as we needed to process before she injected the final medication as well as gave us time after with Levi. Honestly the day of our appointment everyone at the Fix Pets Long Beach location was incredibly kind. It was everything after that was absolutely HORRIBLE. So, we chose the private cremation option with the paw print to be returned to us. We never got told how long it would take for his remains to be finished or for them to be ready but we figured it would take about 2/3 weeks. Once that time frame came and was hitting the 3 1/2 week mark we started to get a bit concerned that we hadn't received any call or email. My sister then sent an email asking when Levi's remains would be ready and they responded saying that they were actually there and ready for pickup, but that she had to confirm her email and phone number (makes no sense because they had it on file since she was the one that made the original appointment AND emailed them first but okay sure) so she did and then no response at all telling her that she was good to come. So she called, no answer. Called again a few days later no answer. My mom called, left a voicemail, no call back. I sent them an email through their "Contact Us" thing on their website, NO RESPONSE. I tried calling, the phone number didn't even ring. I told my mom, she tried calling and it didn't ring either, so she tried calling through her work landline and was able to get through, only for it to go to voicemail. So she left ANOTHER voicemail. My sister by this time has sent another email and called again. By this time it's also like mid February. I send yet another email through their website and NOTHING. So then one day after my morning shift of work, I pick up my sister and we drive to the building on a Thursday morning during their OPERATING HOURS and try to see if we can just pick them up then and there. Nobody opens the door and the Ring doorbell goes off saying to leave a message. My sister says why where there, leaves her name, number, email, and we go. NO RESPONSE FROM ANYBODY. I've resulted to leaving comments on their Instagram posts about it in hopes that other people see it too and that someone will respond. It's clearly now March, 18th to be exact. 78 DAYS since our Levi was put down. I'm so sad, disappointed by their lack of respect and decency of communication to grieving pet owners. I also just saw a review someone left 5 days ago and they said that the location is closed until further notice?!?! NOT ONCE DID THEY LEAVE A NOTICE WHICH IS CRAZY!!!! AND WHEN WE WENT IN PERSON THERE WAS NO SIGN OR ANYTHING STATING IT WOULD BE CLOSED. And we went during the so called "closed period". I just want my cats remains back but if they already got rid of them since we "took too long to pick them up" then I want some common courtesy to let us know they don't have them or something. It's been 3 months since their cat passed & we have still not received his ashes. Paid $300 for the whole service and nothing. We were told a couple weeks & it was just before the New Year so we figured 2nd week of January they'ed reach out. NOTHING, no call no email nothing stating his ashes were ready to be picked up. My daughters & myself have called, emailed & they have driven back to try and talk with someone and nothing. No one is ever at the office, no one picks up the phones or even returns emails. My girls are so sad that they couldn't get their cat's ashes, at this point who knows if he was even cremated or what they have done with him. We had an appointment to get tour dog spayed. We paid the deposit and filled out all the forms and had our appointment confirmed. The night before, I received a text message telling me that the doctor had an emergency and that they would contact us regarding rescheduling. We are now 3 weeks later and I have called (no one answers), I have emailed multiple times and I have texted the number that texted me and no response. I am now incredibly frustrated and feeling scammed because they took my deposit money. This is so disappointing. Hell NO!!!!! If you love your pets don't come here and don't support here!! Never in my life had a vet facility treat my animal bad just because of few exchange words they wanted to get back at me. Argument was that they don't pick up calls and ignore calls to insure you'll miss your appointment and can't refund money and have you re deposit. I know what policy said but the manager that took care of me after many attempts to call she says we can bring the cat in tomorrow and no worries after we were able to get in contact with them after 7 hrs plus leaving a voicemail. They said one time courtesy and then stated that I I'll still pay 100 deposit after what they have told me yesterday. I had to call Them for them to ignore my calls and had to call them From *69 they answered btw made me wait 30 mins on call has the audacity to say hello hello you are cutting off we can't hear you and hang up. Called and called again till They decided to answer mind you left my cat at 9am pick up time is at 2-4. Called them 1:30 to see the status but they decided to call Me at 3:15 pm and say oh yeah your cat has been ready since 2pm. Go pick up my cat for them to not give my receipt had to ask about six times because the bill was 100 more from what they have told me when I got the paper. I was already stressed out from the place that I didn't even bother looking at the receipt until heading back home they ended up charging me $100 more. The receipt was at 2:46. I paid 346. I called them the next day since they have already closed, but before calling them, that's when I realize the reviews they had weren't good I was furious because I had my sister get the place and make the appointment and since we were in the rush to do it, we didn't look into the reviews. Before calling them the next day, I did double check my cat surgery and it's slightly opened. It was in a secure stitch, called them for the payment. They say they can do nothing about it that it's been paid for my cat. Send me a picture to their email and get back to you never got back to me and now my phone is blocked, I had to take my cat to another vet for them to redo their surgery. I ran into the office on their day off.Not knowing they were close to the public because the door was open.They were in the middle of a meeting in the kibby when I ran in. In my arms was a very sick puppy that I had been given three days ago without knowledge that he had parvo. I\m Am a foster, mom and on the day that I got him.m, I also picked up 2 other four month old puppies. He had been given a parvo diagnosis from a previous vet who didn't want to have anything to do with his care, earluer that mornung. And mt rescue coordinator suggesred i drive the hour to 'fix" because their reputation for curing parvo was top notch. The foster company that I volunteer for is tiny and has no money. The folks at fix basically save this boy's life and I could never explain how grateful I am. They took him in immediately, though.We had very little money and we're going to be out patients, they realized he needed in vet care.And real oversight. They kept in close touch with me about his progress.And they did that out of a great act of kindness because they did not what I couldn't afford that knew he needed. They have. Texted me and inquired about the state of the other two poppies showing great concern about their health as well so far so good. These are incredibly caring people that do great work and did save my dog's life.So I can't say enough good things about them. I wouldn't suggest running into the office on their day off.I got very very lucky there but... The universe has its mysterious ways. It just shows how kind they were to noy immediately turn me away. My dog was booked for a spay appointment at this location gave a deposit and everything upon arriving we were greeted by the receptionist who already had a bad vibe , she claimed my dog had kennel cough because she was pulling on her leash which was causing her to cough I assured her she didn't and she processed to have the Dr. look at her because it "sounded " like she had kennel cough. . Don't make assumptions like that you're just a receptionist .. Once again I assured her she WASNT sick. We ended up getting turned away ether way because of something else it was really disappointing because we drove all the way from Orange County and we didn't even get rescheduled that day and for all we know I won't be getting my deposit back . He passed away tried calling to see what they gave my dog couldn't even get through the main menu option because they don't answer their phones! I rescued my lil guy from a rescue in Calabasas. He was not fixed when I got him and his appointment was for a month later in Calabasas which was out of the way. I had been searching online for low cost spay and neuter clinics since I was going to pay out of pocket. I found The Fix online, applied and secured Casper's appointment. While he was neutered, they also cleaned his ears under anesthesia, he received a 3 yr rabies vaccine and he was microchipped. Needless to say, they took great care of my baby. Called me as soon as he woke and gave me great instructions. Two weeks after the fact, Casper is doing very well! He's back to his normal self. read more

The Fix Project in Long Beach is truly the epitome of "you get what you pay for". They're specialized solely in neutering/spaying pets so there's not much else to be expected. We were a little skeptical upon arriving because the building and location seemed a tad shady and the parking lot was really small. To neuter my 11-month old, 13-lb mixed terrier, it was $150 flat + $20 for microchipping. We came about 10-15 minutes before doors opened at 8am and were first in line. Within just a few minutes, there was a long line of customers and their pets behind us. It was easy to check in for our appointment and we dropped our dog off to get neutered and left within 5 minutes of getting in. The counter/desk was covered in clipboards, indicating that they had a full day of pets to fix that day. We expected to be called back around 2-3pm but when 4pm came around, I called them and they coincidentally told me that my dog just came out with no further issues and to come back in an hour to pick him up. When I came to pick him up, there were no other clipboards on the desk as if they already called everyone else to pick up their pets already (first one in, last one out?) When they brought my dog out for me to hold him, the area around his incision was bloody and his whole bottom half was covered in feces. There was literally poop dangling from his fur. Not knowing this, I carried him and got feces all over my left arm. I asked them if they could do anything about the blood but they told me not to touch it and to let it dry as the stitches were dissolvable and would be ruined if they got wet... On top of that, the cone they gave him was too small because he was still able to lick his wound, so I had to get a bigger soft cone to put over it. I'm still rating this facility three stars because the pricing was much more affordable from other quotes I received, and they got the job done. The appointment process was really quick and easy. The pricing on their website is straightforward. The care instructions they gave me with the medicine were clear and my dog healed within 2 weeks as promised without complications. He was depressed and lifeless for the first two days but after those two days, he was back to pooping normally & trying to release his high energy self. But a note for future customers who want to bring their pets here - don't expect for your pet to be catered to or cleaned up afterwards if they poop themselves during/after the operation. It's literally SNIP & DIP so take with that information what you will. read more

Dr. Ceman saved my dog's life. She had life threatening pyometra at 12.5 years old. He called me prior to the procedure to make sure we were on the same page regarding the goals of surgery and took time to explain his thought process. Dr. Coughlin stayed with her post op until after hours to make sure she was stable to leave. The staff were all professional and kind. Please do not hesitate to bring your fur babies here to be spayed/neutered. I have seen some negative reviews and want to express a different POV. Getting an appointment was easy; all paperwork was submitted online and I had an appointment within a week's time. Their post-op instructions were provided before the surgery, so I could have everything ready when my kitty returned home. I dropped him off at 8:00am; he was ready to be picked up at 2:30pm. Great place for your pet to get fixed. I brought my pitbull here and it was a good procedure with no complications.

I had one of my cats brought in to be spayed and the procedure wasn't done correctly and she went back in heat. To have her fixed it is thousands of dollars now. Another semi feral was brought in and when they went to pick it up they didn't fix him saying he was too wild. They didn't call to let us know. Such poor service again read more

Their service is very professional. I was looking for a place to neuter my cat and it is expensive everywhere! So I scheduled an appointment with them and I confess that I was a little bit worried because of the difference of the price. You know, sometimes we pay low prices and we got a bigger problem that will cost so much more money. That was NOT the case with the fix project Long Beach. Exceptional! I went there around 7:30 because I didn't wanna be in a big line (usually, the line for cats starts at 8am), but the line was okay, the lady at the front door was very nice. I left my cat around 8am and I received a message to pick him up at 4:30pm. When I arrived, he was already awake, very clean, everything went good with the surgery. They gave me post-op instructions and the medication. I paid $150 for everything. I super recommend this place. Affordable and professional. read more

I brought my dog here for cryptorchid neuter surgery. We adopted him from an international rescue organization and was provided foreign documents that indicated he was; furthermore, externally, he appeared to be neutered. Apparently, he wasn't. After multiple visits to multiple locations and so much money spent, we couldn't afford to spend much more for surgery. So then we found Fix Long Beach Pets. We scheduled the surgery, filled out the forms online and drove 45 minutes from OC for our 07:30 drop off appointment. Then 90 minutes later, after we arrived home, we received a call that they could not do the surgery. They needed more labs because our dog had recurring infections due to being cryptorchid (retaining internal male organs that hadn't descended at the time of his first 'neuter') and they needed to make sure he was healthy enough for surgery. While completely frustrating, I realized that they were being extremely thorough. They were doing their due diligence. And throughout the following communications and interactions, the staff were absolutely professional, polite, kind and helpful. They were amazing. This felt like it could have gone sideways, but the front office demeanour is what you would expect from an exceptional office. While I was internally frustrated and upset (the long drive didn't help), I couldn't be upset with them because they were doing what you would expect from a medical team and they took the time to care and be understanding. Never once, did they roll their eyes or give heavy sighs; just pleasant, professional personalities. This is a phenomenal team and teams are reflective of management. One of the reasons I came here was obviously, they were affordable. But when you specialise in something, in this case spay/neuter surgeries, over time, you develop a very high level of competency. They're a high performer, not just in quantity, but also in quality. And this is what I saw in the front office and tech staff. While I can opt to search for other affordable spay/neuter clinics closer to me, I choose to return here because they are that amazing. read more

Not only did we save nearly $800 by not going to her regular vet in LA, we received very prompt and professional service on site when we dropped her off, a call immediately as she was available in a few hours, and clear instructions for take home care. When we worried she might have gotten at her stitches, we sent a picture to the office and they emailed us back immediately.
