    I reached out to this company because I wanted to replace my thermostat with a programmable thermostat. I have oil heat and apparently my system is not quite standard, so it was not a quick and easy fix. John, the owner, came out and looked over my system and was able to find me the perfect thermostat. I wanted something with a customizable display, but that also would work with my system. John did the installation and went above and beyond to help me customize it and answered my many, many questions. He was friendly and patient with me, as well as incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company for any of your heating and cooling needs. I will definitely be calling them for anything I need in the future.

    My husband contacted HVAC Direct Heating & Cooling after normal business hours concerning our A/C…read moreunit at our personal residence was ONLY blowing warm air!! Now the previous evening, my husband contacted a large local competitor to check our HVAC system. Technician from local competitor came out and looked out HVAC system, didn't test any components and stated "our compressor was locked & leaking refrigerant and quoted my husband $6k to replace it or we can purchase a brand new HVAC system for $25k!!!" (NOT TRUE!!!). The tech even left our outside power switch unplugged so we couldn't test the system!! SMH!!! We won't contact them for any service ever again nor recommend them to any neighbors, friends and family!!! Joe K, Service Technician at HVAC Direct Heating & Cooling contacted my husband within 20 minutes of him contacting the office the next business day and scheduled a visit that evening. He came out to the house, checked the compressor and quickly diagnosed the capacitor as the problem & replaced it. And Joe K. even showed my husband how he diagnosed the capacitor as the issue NOT the compressor leaking refrigerant as stated by local competitor!! No refrigerant leaking at all!! Compressor in good condition!! In addition, Joe K., checked the wiring, fan, all associated parts and cleaned our a/c unit. No issues at all!! Just some cleaning needed!!! HVAC in excellent working condition AGAIN!!! In addition, he checked our furnace, cleaned some our internal components and showed my husband some DIY things to do to maintain our HVAC system throughout the year!! Amazing work & Professionalism by Joe K!!!! I returned home from business travel to a COOL & COMFORTABLE HOUSE!!! ALL Work completed in an HOUR!!! (less time than the large local competitor spending 2 1/2 hours trying to sell my husband a new HVAC system)!! Joe K. was amazing, excellent communicator, knowledgeable and very professional!! The diagnostic fee was $79 but they waive it if you're going to use them for repair. Would definitely patron them again!

I trusted them to completely replace our system, and they did it quickly, efficiently and at a good price. And Nestor had followed up on multiple requests I had to make a couple of adjustments so that our new system was running perfectly. It's 95F today and our new Bryant AC is running COLD air and holds it's own. I got estimates from multiple providers who wanted to rip me off because my furnace was broken on the coldest day of the year. Nestor gave me an honest quote and didn't give me excuses like "I need to do extra sheet metal work" or "your system needs a new flue". He figured out what was the best midrange furnace and AC for our house and quickly installed it so our house wouldn't freeze up. His installation was up to code. The Nest thermostat didn't work at first but when I mentioned it wasn't working, he came back the next day and fixed it. The aC and furnace he installed are quiet and energy efficient. He also installed a high quality air filter. I looked for leaks in his duct work and I couldn't find any. He correctly set up the condensate drip line to extend 1 feet past the foundation of the home. I do wish he put a more sturdy mat for my aC, time will tell if it shifts and he has promised to come back if I need any adjustments.

They cleaned it out and it worked for a year. Then it failed entirely and they gave me prompt emergency help despite it being the weekend. I had them replace it with a new heat pump version. Nestor gave me great knowledgeable advice about the options and how to navigate the 2025 change in the refrigerant regulations. Very competent and very competitive rates!

    I had Bethany Air put in a new SMART thermostat in end November 2024. They were here 2-3 hours…read moretrying to get it to connect. They left with the SMART thermostat functioning but disconnected from the WiFi. I was finally able to connect it a couple days later to the WiFi. A few months later (April) I called the thermostat manufacturer due to an issue with my 4 year old furnace and the thermostat. I asked why it kept running my emergency heat more than my regular heat and my house was cold. They ran through troubleshooting with me and figured out that the thermostat was not wired correctly. The thermostat manufacturer stated the incorrect wiring caused the issue with the emergency heat running frequently. They suggested calling a HVAC repair to address the cold house. I called Bethany Air. The technician (1) came. He told me that I needed a transformer after spending a good 50 minutes in my attic and then assessing the heat pump. I asked about a surge protector and he also thought this a good idea. Both items were ordered. Other information was provided that possibly we had a power surge that caused the transformer to stop working in the furnace. I was also told the furnace would not run. The technician was here a long time. A different technician (2) came to put in the two parts a few days later. He went in the attic and came down about 5 minutes later and asked if we had turned on the heat. I stated no, it doesn't work, and I had not messed with the thermostat. I did note it was on though as the previous technician gave no recommendation to turn it off. He stated that a couple other parts had "burnt" and we "were lucky that the house didn't burn down". We discussed briefly the findings. I informed him that we were told the furnace wouldn't work. The previous technician (1) did not give any instruction to turn off the thermostat, to turn the breaker off to the furnace or heat pump, nor did he take any precautions to avoid this further damage (burnt parts) from happening. I called Bethany Air when he left. The receptionist took the information than stated the manager/owner would call me back soon. No callback was received from the manager/owner. Instead the technician (2) who had left called me and tried to change his initial assessment and downplay his findings significantly. The parts came in and a different technician (3) came. He made the repairs. He told my husband that all charges for all 3 calls would be in his invoice. I paid the invoice. Since then I have received an invoice a couple times after I paid the "all charges" invoice. We have reached out to the company 3 different days, speaking with the same receptionist. We are told the owner/manager will call us back that day, and have never received any callback. Email response to the invoice also got no response. I cannot recommend this company in good faith. However based upon other reviews, you may have a better experience.

After contacting several companies, they offered the best price and quickest service. The technician who installed the thermostat was efficient and friendly and did the basic programming. I will consider them for our annual maintenance service, since our old service company closed shop.
