liszen!!! It was so hot in this house I bout melted off my eyeball weave (fake lashes)! This HVAC system has always been grouchy (it's 30 yrs old) but it got downright disrespectful lately! Picture it...the heatwave of 2018 The warranty company I use said the earliest they could get folks to me was FIVE days after I submitted my request. Whet?!?!? Did I mention my lashes?? And the cat, Louboutin del Moscato, and my mini pig, Leroy Spartacus, aint happy neither! No. Not in the middle of a heatwave. Found SSHS on yelp and they were able to arrive same day at a better rate. My 30 year old HVAC system needed refrigerant. 20 minutes later the house started to feel noticeably cooler. Sweet Spot is a very different HVAC company, in a great way! They give you an estimate and then actually complete the job At the estimated price And On Time And without any additional charges or fees. They are Professional, on time, and HONEST! Doesn't get much better than that! They replaced my entire HVAC system and it works great! A few years later the condensate drain Froze due to cold weather and the system wouldn't work (that is the way it should work). They came out and diagnosed the issue and simply Deiced the pipe. I'm telling you.... these are your guys! I always search for providers on Yelp with'Top 10 ___' and got a list of which they were listed 4th or 5th (I think). But the reviews spoke to their Customer Service of which I am a FAN! To me, if the Customer Service is on point then so is everything else! They nailed it from the time I shot an E-mail SUNDAY NIGHT and received a response within an hour! The appointment was scheduled for the next day in the evening. Even when I called that day to get a smaller time window Robb answered the phone WHILE he was doing an install!!! YES! Why can't all business follow this model?! As stated in the other reviews, they take the time to educate you a bit as well as providing you with options given certain scenarios that could possibly play out later. ...gotta love it! So, they know what they're doing, they're professional & courteous, they respond quickly, the fee was hella resonable, and my fix was quick (they had everything they needed in their trailer). Great service! Great prices! I had them come out for an annual checkup on my A/C system and also to check on a somewhat noisy compressor. They checked everything over for a *very* reasonable price, and Bob was very clear about what could be done but wasn't worth the expense. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Robb in the office was also very helpful and professional. I should add that I original contacted the installer of my system, AirTron, but they wanted 4 times as much for just the checkup, and they needed to book me two months out rather than the two weeks I got from Sweet Spot. They also insisted that due to how busy they were, they needed to send a checkup technician separate from the technician who can do repairs. Not only does that sound fishy, but if they checkup technician isn't qualified to evaluate possible repairs, then he can't adequately do his job for checkups, can he?? Wow. I would recommend Sweet Spot for future A/C needs. It was a holiday weekend during a heat wave when my A/C started to leak. I messaged Sweet Spot and they replied within minutes and scheduled service the same day. Rob accessed and quickly determined the issue. The entire time he explained his course of action and made recommendations. At no time did he try to force me into unnecessary and costly services. Instead, he provided me with the facts and allowed me to make a decision. He answered all of my questions to allow me to be more informed about my system. Rob and his team have worked on several of our rental properties including a difficult HVAC replacement in Bowie. He's always solved problems on the first visit and never pressured us to upgrade or make an unneeded and expensive repair. When our own very old heat pump died we did not hesitate to reach out to him. He took the time to properly survey the house, ensured the duct work would be usable with a new system, and sized the appropriate solution at an excellent price. My HVAC was not blowing cold air. It was covered by home warranty. The technicians sent by home warranty company diagnosed something different. we waited for 8 days and was denied full coverage of total repair cost. I reached out to a couple of companies and hired Sweet Spot. Upon arrival, Robb was so pleasant and personable. I highly recommend this company. Our A/C broke during a heatwave. We moved into our home 2 years ago and have not had to get the a/c serviced so we weren't sure who to call. This companies sticker was on our a/c from what we assume was previous service so we called them in a panic at 5:00 pm. They responded to us promptly and were very friendly and professional on the phone. They were able to come to our home the following morning. Bob, our technician, was very prompt and arrived at 9:45 am (service window was 9-11 am.) He texted me prior to arrival to let me know he was coming. He was very kind, professional, and friendly. He even put up with our very excitable dog! He explained what was wrong with our a/c and had the part we needed in his van. He told us how much it cost and asked if he should proceed. We said yes as the amount was very reasonable. He worked very quickly and had our a/c up and running in no time. He also wore a mask and was very COVID conscious in our home. We had an weird situation with our heat pump where it was blowing warm air when set in the cool mode, and the house was getting warm enough to feel like a sauna. Set a request out to this company at 9:30P and got a response within 20-minutes. They were reasonably able to accommodate our day/time request for service, and arrived at the time scheduled. The technicians were professional, informative, and used all their technical tricks in the book to diagnose what was causing the issue. In addition, though not originally requested, they also agreed to my last minute request to perform a spring "tune-up" inspection on all related systems, and they did a great job, even found a plugged up evaporation hose that I didn't know was clogged. I woke up early this morning to a very hot house. My air conditioner abandoned me in the middle of the night. I contacted Sweet Spot Home Services at exactly 8am. I turned on the AC but only 85 degree air blew and the house was humid. Called Sweet Spot around 11am; Robb gave me a window of 12-3, and Bob showed up before 1pm. Nice. Professional, personable, and explained everything. Answered all my questions and when he identified the problem, gave me the estimate and installed the part. I needed someone who'd be willing to take my information over the phone since the heat went out on one of my rental properties on probably one of the coldest days this winter season. Fantastic! Initially tried to go through our home warranty and they were unable to find a single company that could come out and fix our A/C during one of the summer heat waves. After seeing the reviews for Sweet Spot I called about 5 minutes before their closing time. After the company I usually use to do my annual HVAC inspections couldn't come out for over a month, I contacted Sweet Spot Home Services. I was impressed by all the great reviews for them, and I wasn't disappointed. I was able to get an appointment within the week. I had noticed that when I first turned on our furnace that I wasn't getting warm air, so I wasn't surprised when Robb Sr. informed me that my heat exchanger had a leak and had shut down. It could not be repaired so I decided to let them replace it, which they did several days later, after Robb Sr. came back with his son, Robb Jr., and helper, Bob, to do the work. They arrived within the time range promised, showed me where the problem was, explained what they were going to do, and completed the job that day. They were pleasant to work with, kept me informed about what needed to be done, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving.
