3rd stop. Very interesting drive up. Such an amazing spot. We have got to come back here in the spring or summer. John and Andrea took such good care of us. We had a table full of wine to taste and the service was awesome. Pretty busy given the weather but since we had reservations, we had a table ready. This place was buzzing! Very festive atmosphere. Got our wines poured and a couple of bonus pours. Our table looked like a chandelier when they were done. All the wines were pretty tasty, even the whites which I am usually not a fan of. read more

What a beautiful spot to take in the beautiful fall weather with a wine flight. We came by for a birthday and they reserved the fire pit. The wine is delicious and the spot by the fire pit is amazing. Since they don't serve food, you can bring your own which is great. This winery it's very pretty but on the small side. The views of the vineyards are stunning and it was great to get a table right in front. However I felt a little like I was in someone's backyard. Wonderful local winery with plenty of seating indoors and out. Service was super friendly and you could tell they take a lot of pride in their delicious wine. What a beautiful vineyard! The tasting room is on the smaller side but so cozy! We wanted to sit outside but it started raining and thankfully there was a table available inside. They accept walk ins but recommend making a reservation cause this place is busy. The service here is outstanding and top notch; they were all so friendly. Since we had to wait for a table, the wine steward gave us a glass of Albariño on the house, which was delicious. I had the wine flight and shared a cheese board with a couple of friends. The Double Fine Line was my favorite and had an oaky taste to it. The pour here is also very generous. Highly recommend stopping by! read more

This was a beautiful place to enjoy some very good wine. It was a nice day so we sat outside. The service was excellent. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. The owner stopped by several times, and even offered to take pictures of us in one of the scenic areas, as well invited us to walk through the vineyard to see the vines and the grapes just starting to develop. read more

One of our favorite wineries in the Hudson Valley. Their wines are great, personally I come back for the unoaked cab franc and their rosé which has a little bubble to it. The views are amazing. For your first time, id recommend a reservation to sit in the main area, but if you don't have one it's not a big deal. They take walk-ins and have picnic tables and chairs in the back. The fall is the best time to go when the leaves are changing color, the winery is just beautiful and vibrant. They do allow leashed, friendly dogs. They have a really great selection of cheeses, meats and crackers for you to make your own board, all very reasonably priced and locally sourced. And I appreciate that you can pick and choose what you want á la carte. We had the McGrath extra sharp cheddar and the goat cheese which are now personal favorites. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there is only one restroom and there can be a bit of a line at times, it just depends. They have a cute fire pit area as well with blankets you can sit by and cozy up. Sometimes they also have oysters and lobster rolls which are very good. It's the perfect way to end a day. read more

Delicious, vibrant wines and breathtaking, sweeping views make this place feel so heavenly. Mentally I am always here. I recently learned that the micro climate in the Hudson Valley has optimal conditions for good wine grapes, and my recent visit proved this to be true. Fjord Vineyards was the last stop on a little winery tour my partner set up for the two of us last season, and as it turned out we saved the best for last. It had a very modern flair but also felt cultivated by folks who are well attuned to good wineries. So much about visiting a vineyard is about the views and sprawling green lawns as it is about the wine itself, and Fjord nails it at every step. It makes sense when you learn that they are part of the Benmarl family that owns the oldest winery in the area and in the country. We were some of the only visitors on a quiet weekday afternoon and so we essentially had the place to ourselves. We would've loved spending our whole time here luxuriating on their plush outdoor seating, but the rain brought us inside. While the inside wasn't really build for customers to spend time in-- boxes and piles of paper were stacked all over the place-- we didn't mind at all with the friendly company of our sommelier. She was so chipper while guiding us through our wine tasting with accompanying cheese, wine, hummus, cracker, and jam accoutrements that the wine wasn't a thought in our minds. The wine (and the cheese) were the highest quality of everything we had on this tour of wineries we went on. I continue to wax poetic about it to anyone who will listen. read more

Beautiful vineyard tucked away in the hills of Milton! I've been 3 times already and every time has been amazing. The wines are great - a nice selection including whites, sparkling, rose and reds. Their dry Riesling and Albariño are my favorite. I don't typically like sweet rieslings but this one is perfect - not too sweet and so enjoyable! They have lots of options for food like cheese, meats, bread, crackers, olives, honey, hummus, etc and have regular food pop ups The best part of all is how kind and friendly their staff is. Visited Fjord on a quiet Friday afternoon. John was such a great host to us! He was extremely knowledgable about all the wines. My favorite of the vineyards in the Marlboro/Milton area. Beautiful view and terrific staff. The Albariño is crisp and tasty. If you served this to me in Spain, I wouldn't bat an eye. It's delicious. I've been to almost every winery in the Hudson Valley, and Fjord is one of my absolute favorites! The owners, Casey and Matt, are so welcoming and knowledgeable, and they are so passionate about what they create, that it only enhances the wines which are already amazing. My personal favorites are their Cabernet Franc, Albariño, and Late Harvest, but honestly, they're all delicious! I also love their selection of local cheeses and their seasonal mulled wine. The grounds are lovely, and they're perfect for cozying up and escaping the rest of the world for a little bit. Fjord is truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it. read more

Located up a gravel driveway you will find Fjord Vineyards. As soon as we entered we were greeted by staff and were able to choose a table outside to sit. We did not have a reservation although I would recommend having one if you go so you can do a tasting. The group I was with ordered several glasses of wine. Additionally we ordered several things to eat including cheese, olives, hummus and chocolate which were all located sourced. The wine was delicious and the views were truly gorgeous. We had such a lovely afternoon at Fjord vineyards and I would highly recommend visiting. read more

I absolutely love this vineyard in so many ways. Key thing to understand: - This is the ultimate boutique winery feel. If you are looking for a finger lakes/Napa scale winery, this isn't it. IMO this is better with the bespoke winery experience of a local gem Why I love this place: - The quaint experience. Every seat is an amazing view of the Hudson River Valley... - You have a nice breeze, so it feels fresh - I love the owner... just a genuine and fun person who really brings a light bubbly personality to the experience - The wine... shocking good! I had the Riesling, The Rose, and Chardonnay... all gems. Fjord is a great spot to spend an afternoon enjoying wine / delicious snacks (or head there on day they are having a food truck or pop-up!) outdoors with family or friends. We met the owner who is incredibly kind and knowledgeable about growing grapes locally (as well as how the art of wine production works in other areas of NYS!). This place is amazing. We stopped by this vineyard in April on a rainy day. The apple orchard is filled with blossoms and the scenery is beautiful. John is a very welcoming, professional, and a knowledgable owner who recommended me three wines that all fit into my preference. Food and wine are all very well priced and the atmosphere is very welcoming and intimate. Our puppy was greeted too by the owner and other customers! I felt compelled to leave a review because I have never in my life experienced such kindness from a stranger. Not only was the wine and atmosphere amazing (as stated in many other reviews) but I accidentally left my wallet at this location only to have Nell hand deliver it back to me in Brooklyn. This woman is a literal angel and it is so rare to find people who just genuinely care and want the best for others. I will forever support this vineyard because of her. Fjord Vineyards is the best wine producer in the Hudson Valley. They leveraged their experience to grow better fruit and create a better wine. In addition, the tasting "room", while smallish and outdoors, is like a little bite of heaven. It is quiet with beautiful views and personal service. Casey and her team make you feel welcome with an attentive, but never hovering, approach. I highly recommend an afternoon at Fjord to relax and pick up some great wine to take home. read more

They have picnic tables set up around the winery and a huge play area with activities for children to run and play. They have a variety of wines and ciders, from dry to sweet. The ciders were very unique, and I enjoyed just about all of them. My favorite wine was the DeChaunac Rose! This winery had more entertainment than some of the others I have been to in the area. It had a fun vibe. The owners were friendly and professional. They came over and introduced themselves and made sure everyone was having a good time. The views are stunning. The scenery is relaxing. And, the wines are delicious! The only thing missing were good options to pair with the wine.

We gave everyone tokens to use at the bar to put on our tab. It was a fantastic fall day and everyone gathered outside to listen to the band, hang around the fire pits and play games. There is an incredible amount of liquor to taste, with a particular specialty of traditionally distilled absinthe (award winning; highly recommend). The host was very helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of the distillation process. We left feeling like we received a free history lesson. We were also given a quick tour of the facility, which was very kind. We spent a little over an hour on location, but we easily could have spent longer. Prices were reasonable, both for the tastings and the bottles. There were multiple sized bottles, and a huge range of options. Both of the owners were very kind, patient, and accommodating of an exchange after the fact. We did not sample the wine, but will next time. Outside there are seats and tables, with shade, for tastings, as well as some picnic tables down by the lake. We came in early June, so it wasn't too hot. There was plentiful AC and seating indoors as well.

We had a tasting flight we asked the owner to pick for us and sat down and waded in. I don't remember which ones I tried but three out of four of them were delicious. There was one made with berries and aged with vanilla that just wasn't for us. But that's why they make so many flavors. There's something for us all. Alcohol content seemed to range from about 7% to 10.5% but I was told by the owner-brewer that some meads can hit over 20%. I say this so that you realize you can get drunk on mead! The place was cozy with lots of seating a very clean restroom and a very friendly and informative owner willing to talk mead and answer our questions. It is definitely worth a visit

This distillery is also has grounds you can walk around and explore (not too big though). We took a peek at their aging/storage room with wooden casks while there, as well as their distillery. We were treated to a free, small sample of their whiskey at their bar. Its a nice stop when in upstate NY area.

We visited 4 wineries, Palaia, Applewood, Demarest and Clearview. Palaia and Clearview both honored the passport by providing wine tasting. Applewood and Demarest refused the passport and would not honor the wine tasting that was paid for. I am reluctant to visit any more of the wineries being that 50% did not honor the passport. Very disappointing and ruined a perfectly good afternoon.
