This is an awesome destination on a beautiful day for the views alone. The sprawling hills of vineyards and orchards speckle the Marlboro landscape. The Tasting Room also has some of the best chicken wings in the area. They come fresh out of the fryer so crispy and flavorful you don't even need the dipping sauces. They do have a sauces if you'd like a little extra flavor. The selection is honey BBQ, Thai Chili, Carolina BBQ, and Buffalo. The wood fired margarita pizza is very tasty. We also had the smash burger with shoestring fries. Outstanding! The staff here is super friendly. To drink they offer a few local craft beers and cider, some of their own wine and refreshing frose which looked so good. They whip up a frozen rose wine concoction which will keep you cool on a hot summer day. read more

This place is a dream! If you're in the area or looking for a winery upstate, this is the place to be. The grounds are gorgeous! The views are picturesque, especially during the fall with the breathtaking colors! I love that this winery is family owned and operated! The patio is awesome with different seating options, fire pits, and heaters. A great place to relax, enjoy the views, and hang out. This place is really spacious and offers different seating areas, from the grass with picnic tables, the patio, and the tasting room! The only thing that was disappointing was they only had one restroom, during busy times, there was a line. They had live music on Saturday, pretty chill and fitting for the vibe. The drinks: I got the wine flight and so glad I did. I was able to add the froze in the flight. All of the wines I tried were delicious. The froze was amazing! Since it was a little chilly, we got the warm spiced cider with bourbon and it was so good and kept us warm and cozy. Everything I tried was on point! The food: Shoestring fries tossed in everything but bagel seasoning was surprisingly really good, who would have thought! Big enough to share! The wood fired pizza was perfect and really good! Try the Margherita, it was fire! The wings were great, big and full of flavor! The food here is really good, they have a food menu full of so many delicious flavors! I wish they offered more gluten free options! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They offered suggestions and were very knowledgeable about the wines. One thing I love about wineries is the grounds. As a city girl I love to sit outside and bask in the natural surroundings. This place has awesome views. Unfortunately when we came they were closed for a private event. They were gracious enough to allow us to sit down in grassy area with our frozen rosè. I was able to finally come to this beautiful vineyard. Everything about these vineyards was absolutely beautiful. I am surprised at how big this Vineyard was. At first, I actually gotten lost getting here it brought me to the back of the entrance. I called the vineyards just to make sure it was open and also to try and find the place. The person on the phone was very nice and explained to where I have to go and then I was finally able to find the place. Once my mother and I arrived at the place we were very surprised that the Vineyards were very large . The entrance where the wreaths were was very beautiful, and the inside was very cozy and rustic feeling. My mother and I ordered food, and it took a while to come out, but we were okay with waiting. We were outside, and the views were absolutely beautiful. Then it started to rain and we had to go inside. We were bummed about that. We decided to order grilled cheese & the fig and apple salad. Wow, everything was very delicious and I was surprised how much salad I actually received. I would highly recommend coming here and checking these vineyards out. Stopped here on our wine tour throughout Marlboro, parking our bus was easy, wine tenders were quick to assist us in choosing our wine and our tastings. We sat outside at picnic tables with a gorgeous view of their vineyard. We came here and I must say it was absolutely delicious. When we came we made a reservation and it was beautiful. The food was delicious and I would definitely come back. We ordered the pizza which was very good. The soup was absolutely delicious flavorful and had the right amount of ingredients. The charcuterie board was also very good and had very delicious cheeses. The wines were good and we enjoyed the tasting. I loved the hot cider with rum, this drink was delicious. They also had live music and were very friendly. I would say it took them a bit to clear the table but they were busy and all the staff was working. During Covid, I do believe it important to try to be patient and everything else was great. Came on a Friday afternoon after a hike. The place was not crowded at all. We sat outside under a tent to find some shade. When we ordered , the bartender was very friendly and helpful. We order a few of the small plates they have to offer and they were delicious. I ordered a glass of their award winning Riesling and it was good (I bought two bottles to take home). Maybe I'm biased because I got married here.. but in my opinion Nostrano Vineyard has it all -- a beautiful view, ACTUALLY DELICIOUS FOOD, the best frose, live music, family owned AND operated. I truly can't say enough good things about this place. Every time we walk in, we are truly treated like family... The owners and members of their family are the ones pouring your drinks and making your food - and it shows because they put love and care in everything they do. I live on Long island and the vineyards here don't have great food, but nostrano has brick oven pizza, charcuterie and the menu is always changing. I was recently there for fathers day and had a smash burger, chicken wings, and a summer salad and our entire party loved it. I believe they host some events here too through-out the year too. We ended up staying at the Airbnb at Nostrano Vineyards and ate at the restaurant while we were there. The restaurant was a very short walk away from our place and was delicious! We went for lunch and I got the 6 little wine flight which probably equated to around 1.5 glasses of wine. My favorite was the rose! We also got the shrimp tacos, cowboy caviar, and french fries! The shrimp tacos were extremely fresh and delicious and the french fries were a hit as well (even with people who normally don't like them). I vacillated on my rating for Nostrano but ultimately decided to give it the full rating. The staff was really nice and very attentive. The setting they created with their barn is rustic and cozy, which is appreciated on cold days. The indoor area of the barn has multiple heating elements. The main doors are kept cracked open for ventilation so your best bet is to sit in the corners for full warmth. Their outdoor areas had picnic tables as well as igloos but I'm not sure how efficient their heating elements were. Their food options were perfect for post hike cravings. It was the most clutch comfort foods, including pizza, wings (Thai Chili, BBQ, Buffalo), sliders, apple fritters etc. All of the food was brought to your table which helped keep everyone at their tables except to order. The distance between tables seemed adequate. In addition to their fantastic wines, they had beer (IPAs, & Stouts) by the can. They even had some hot options [e.g. bourbon(?)spiked ciders] that were to die for! My only minor gripe here was that one of the pizzas we ordered had a slightly burnt crust but try to ignore that for the purposes of this review. I'll definitely be back to Nostrano. I'm a little disappointed that they're closed in January, but considering the times and the unpredictability of the weather at times, I understand. I'll be first in line once they reopen in Feb. I love coming to Nostrano! The staff and the owner are very friendly and accommodating. I had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday there last year, and they set up this beautiful farm table for my guests and I, and they even gave us longer than we were allotted. They have a nice selection of wines, and their specialty cocktails are *chef's kiss*! The views from the patio are gorgeously pastoral, and the tasting room itself is charming. I know they also do a lot of big events in their barn down the hill, which is charming and rustic. My only critique would be that I hope they fix the bathroom situation soon - there's only a single stall bathroom in the tasting room, and there can be quite a line to use it. read more

Love this winery. I love how the wine tasting is self guided and all of their wines are delicious, dynamic, and flavor balanced. There are many wines to choose from so there are lots of options whether you like sweet, dry, red, or white. They even have some fun wine slushy varieties. We went here in summer 2020 for my sister's bachelorette. The bachelorette was in New Paltz so were around other wineries so had to trek to this one, but this winery was the only one that would accommodate our size. It was worth it! The view was gorgeous!! The frosé was delightful! Everyone kept going inside for more frose. The burrata with peaches was out of this world and I have been dreaming of it ever since I've been here. I can't wait to come back again this summer (mostly for the burrata with peaches). Beautiful grounds, so many options for drinks - from their own wines (which are made from their grapes on their land which isn't always the case in the HV - so bonus points for that!), froze, cocktails and even beer. Very friendly owners and really fresh and delicious food options. I'm a Burrata snob and theirs was on point! Loved the vibe here, incredibly relaxed and chill. The stand out wines for us were the Rieslings, even though I'm a more of a red and Cab Franc lover. I'm not sure why I didn't know this little gem existed in my county, but thanks to Yelp I found it and visited and having nothing but good things to say. 3 of us girls went sunday&our reservation was for 11:30am(which are encouraged to make ro ensure u get a spot). Im not sure if it was the owners but a gentleman greeted us at first, then a lovely woman with cropped short hair, told us we can walk the grounds while they were getting ready to open. The place is beautiful with views of rolling meadows & homes. We ordered 2 Wood fired pizzas, cooked perfectly & tasty. Wine is by the glass, no flights, so I ordered a Cab Franc & my cousin the dry reisling, equally delicious but we decided to do a bottle of the cab with our pizza. No one rushed us out, we sat for a solid 2hours, no one bothered us, its a great place to sit in or out, bring a blanket for the lawn. Such a homey winery tucked away on a hill. The barn tasting room screams modern chic. The outdoor patio is beautiful and to top it off they are dog friendly. Did not do a tasting here. Maybe next time when I have more time. Shared a bottle of rose with my party and it was delicious and crisp. The live music on the patio was also very good. NY isn't noted for its reds, but Nostrano is an exception. The baco noir is a wonderfully complex, medium bodied red, with blackberry and dark cherry notes. Their rustic red is a serious, full-bodied, dry, tanic, spicy red with lots of fruity overtones. Both are on a Dr. Frank level. I'm not so much for whites, but my wife loved their semi-dry riesling and the rose. Kay was a most gracious host and made our visit that much more enjoyable. Best Frosé Ever. On top of being an incredibly breathtaking setting, the Frosé was perfect for a warm day. Since we visited during the Covid Pause, we did curbside pick up but I can't wait for their reopen so we can enjoy their outdoor space at the tasting room. Ugh, what a cute little place. First off, let me tell you that the tasting room is at the top of the hill, and it's a very strange way to get here! Little signs, but our Uber driver helped us find it. So, the actual tasting room is a small building at the top of the hill overlooking the vineyards. They do tastings inside ($8-$10 a person if I do recall), and you have he opportunity to sit outside overlooking the property. Which is gorgeous. We did the tasting and ordered the meat and cheese plate. It was roughly $20, STOCKED with items, and unbelievably delicious. I mean unbelievably. Fresh honey, numerous cheeses and meats, and spreads. For four of us sharing, it actually filled me up a little! Impressive. Seriously. Only downside is I didn't love any of the wines during the tasting. None of us did. I wasn't a big fan, and you don't get to choose what you taste like some other wineries, it's pre selected. Sitting on the back patio of this charming winery, listening to a fine jazz guitarist, a splendid cheese and charcuterie plate in front of us, a glass of Pinot Gris in hand, I wondered what exactly could be improved here? The only thing - the size of the pours in the tasting. I received enough of the 2016 and 2017 Riesling to know I preferred the latter - it actually tasted of the promised grapefruit. But the samples of the Pinot Noir and the Cabernet Franc were too small - the nose seemed right but I needed more to get a sense of also body. The semi-sweet Riesling and Pinot Gris passed muster in the tasting. There was an extra pour in there as well - can't recall what. Still, I would rather pay just a bit more for larger pours. After tasting, I took a glass of the balanced Pinot Gris out to the patio where La Portena was seated with her Riesling. The cheese plate turned out to be superb. Pickled carrots, marinated olives, salumi, two hard cheeses and one soft (probably goat) , crackers, Scandinavian crispbread, raspberries and dates. A generous plate. The valley view was lovely. We did not want to leave. On the way out, picked up three bottles and met Nick, the owner. I think he's firing on all cylinders. If it's March I'd go to Napa, but in season this is a comparable experience. read more

Nice vinyard with restaurant. They are well equipped for social distancing. Bubble tents outside, distanced tables inside, a nice fire pit eating area. The only thing i would improve is the location of the restrooms. You have to leave the main area and walk across the yard to get the the bathroom. My daughter and her 3 friends came on a Hudson Valley Wine Tour (must do it - fabulous!) and when they were seated inside away from the music, etc. they asked if there were any other seats outside. They were turned down and until I called and the tour operator called - they were finally moved but not without being spoken to in a hostile and condescending way. No reason for it , there were plenty of tables! Maybe they were having a bad day but there was no reason to be rude. read more

Came here today with my husband and friends, and while the space to hangout with families is very accessible and the food was great I noticed a Hispanic/Latino family next to us being treated unfairly. They seemed to have brought some outside snacks with them to nibble on while drinking the vineyard wine where they purchased it there. There were no signs on premise that said no outside food or drink as me and my family brought in snacks and water as well. After the family threw out some of their trash, one of the workers literally followed them to the trash and brought it back to their table and said something along the lines of "not having space for their trash". Regardless if this was their rule, this family was clearly still purchasing food and drinks from the vineyard and being respectful. All the worker had to do was ask them to not throw out their garbage in their bins in the future instead of bringing back their garbage to their table so for the remainder of the time they had the garbage there with them. It's disappointing and disgusting to see this type of treatment towards this family, when no one said anything to us and we were doing the exact same thing. read more
