We started with grape picking then went to apple afterwards. This place is massive, clean and has a lot of things going on! Music, bakeries, winery and more! Staffs are also very nice and accommodating! Best thing was wagon was free! (Cost $5 but will give you back once the wagon is returned) Apple & grape picking, cider sipping, beautiful views, and plenty of picture-perfect spots. In addition they also have some vegetables available including tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. We will definitely be back! So, if you're looking for the perfect fall day trip, add this to your fall bucket list, I promise, its worth it! Grab your friends or family, come hungry, sip something delicious, and soak up all the autumn vibes.

She escorted us over to a table with a marvelous view of the vineyards. Maria was our wonderful and charming server. She came over with a complementary glass of their wonderful rosé wine. I'm not a rosé drinker, but it was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful flight of wines. Our favorite was their '23 Double Fall Line $32. It has a marvelous smooth blend of Cab Franc, Merlot and Blaufränkisch (Austrian Blue) Grapes. Two bottles came home later. : ) Of course, we had to indulge in some wonderful lobster rolls. Each lobster roll was $23, plus for an extra $9 you get a nice dollop of caviar to top it off ! The lobster was from a company called Oyster Party in the NY area. I think the lobster rolls were some of the best I ever had. Just a couple of notes: - It appears the hill leading up to the vineyard was recently paved. We visited 4 wineries, Palaia, Applewood, Demarest and Clearview. Palaia and Clearview both honored the passport by providing wine tasting. Applewood and Demarest refused the passport and would not honor the wine tasting that was paid for. I am reluctant to visit any more of the wineries being that 50% did not honor the passport. Very disappointing and ruined a perfectly good afternoon.

What I am saying is that Joe the owner knows his stuff and his wine. I have trusted his recommendations and have never been let down. Whenever you go to buy a bottle of wine you can find liquid to drink for $5 bucks and WINE for $75.00. But at The Wine Store you can ask about a price range and a wine style or type without feeling that you are going to get what they are trying to sell. He honestly has paired my tastes and budget and that is why I keep going back. I've discovered many new wine at his recommendation and he continues to amaze me. I also like to test him. Very professional, listened to what we wanted, then took us to three wineries that were fantastic. Each winery had its own unique character and the wines were spot on, as well the spirits in the last one we went to. Donovan's van was very clean, well air conditioned, and had all the amenities needed to go from one winery to the next. He's very knowledgeable of the area, well prepared, and an all around fun and great guy. He picked us up at our hotel at Marriott Courtyard Poughkeepsie and after the tour dropped us off at the Beacon Train station it really worked out very well. We'll be gathering a group of friends and hopefully do another tour in the fall or before Christmas. For sure we will pick Tour with Donovan again! Thanks Donovan!

Donovan…read moreworked with me on planning the entire itinerary and made sure we were visiting wineries I'd never been to before that would fit the type of vibe I was looking for, since I was the birthday girl. Donovan set up each reservation so I had to do nothing but, book my trip with him and when he arrived he even had champagne and bottled water for us! At each stop Donovan made sure that we were treated like royalty. He didn't just drop us off, he got out with us and set us all up comfortably at each winery even going out of his way to get ice for our wine and helping us choose the best reviewed wines at each stop. Then Donovan even took pictures of our group at each stop and then sent them all to me to make sure I had memories of our trip. Donovan's vehicle was clean and well taken care of. All 9 of us fit comfortably with room for a few more. He was so hospitable and so much fun to hang out with on our drive to each stop. He played the music we liked and kept us laughing the entire time. I can't say enough about Donovan. I would definitely recommend him 100%.
