I ordered two dishes that were supposed to come with fresh or homemade items..fresh strawberries for my parfait and Jam with my baguette. I received neither. When I asked about the strawberry's in my Yogurt I was told, that I only get strawberry syrup. When I showed her the menu that's clearly stated fresh strawberries she retuned with 2 strawberries sliced into many pieces. When I asked about my jam the waiter pointed to a bowl full of grape jelly which is clearly not the same as Jam, (which uses real fruit preserves) I was very disappointed in this place. This is a good place for breakfast!! The staff is very friendly and the service is very fast. Located right on Clifton, a walkable place if you're staying in south beach! Pros - Location and proximity to our hotel! The food as well as the presentation was mostly on point! Cons- opening time stated 8 AM but we had to wait 45 minutes before they opened to let us in! We had an amazing waitress. . .even though they were super busy, she was so much fun!! I had the fish tacos and this was my first time ever having fish tacos and I'm so glad I got em'!!! they were prepared to perfection. I was staying on South Beach and my hotel was across the street from this restaurant. I wanted some breakfast and the breakfast free breakfast at my hotel was over at (10am) so I came here around lunch time (12p). I wanted to sit outside and do some work on my computer. The server showed me a small table for 2 and I took it. The menu was great filled with lots of great options. The area that sparked my attention was the paninis. I ordered a chicken panini with goat cheese and a cafe con leche. The food was ready promptly. The sandwich was great, I loved the presentation. It was shaped as a heart. The cafe com leche was equally good. The reason I give this place 3 stars is because of the service. I felt some type of way about my server for multiple reasons that I am going to highlight. 1. I had requested the server the wifi password and she wouldn't give it. The network was obviously functioning but she made up a story after I asked her twice. 2. When my food came, that was basically the last time the server addressed me. Didn't come back to check on the order if I liked it or not. Not that I am spoiled, but I could hear her being friendly with the other customers. 3. I asked for a box and at first she forgot it. I signaled her again to bring the box she brought a box and the check. The check rounded up came up to $20, with service charge included. I had been sitting at the resturant now for about a couple hours. Logged in to my hot spot. So I dropped a solid $20 and left. As I was going down the stairs the server yelled at me asking if I paid. I said yes and she told me to hold on to confirm. She told the buss lady to go check and the money was there. So I told the buss lady to tell her that. I just think that that particular situation could have been handled different. I know that on South Beach people be skipping bills and stuff and I get it. She should have personally checked the table and if the money wasn't there she could have then ran down the street to come get me as the others do hahahahah I had a full back pack on with my heavy laptop and there was a cop car sitting right outside for some other reasons. So she needed to chill. I hate not returning here because of this one encounter. :=( read more

Amazing food and service. We came to FL cafe every morning for a week. Saw the same waitress almost everyday and it was fantastic. Jacinta was an excellent server to us and everyone in the restaurant. Place is clean and tidy. My girls got waffles and French toast and they were delicious. Portions were big too. What a great all around place to eat! This Cafe sits on the corner of Collins Ave and 13st, offering perfect outdoor seating to people watch. I came here two nights ago and had the tuna tartar which was a large portion and tasted YUMMY! My friend had the Chicken Parmesan which was also delicious. Both items came with diced potatoes. My wife enjoyed her dish. My eggs were poached nicely, and the smoked salmon was decent (but certainly not the best I've had). The potatoes were cooked perfectly and seasoned subtly. The English muffin was a tad tedious to slice into, but not a big deal. Service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. I did notice a small piece of dust in my water and on one egg, but that may be the nature of eating outside. My only other complaint is not the restaurant's fault. The guy sitting at the table next to us was speaking loudly on his phone during the entirety of our meal. We finished eating and left, and he was still on his phone. My burger was very good. It was cooked well and very juicy. I got a salad on the side and it was not good. It didn't even come with any dressing and I had to ask for it. The service also was not that great. It was super slow and there was only two groups here so I don't know why. The area was very clean and nice though so I will give them that. Food was yum! On a Wednesday at 11am it took right under an hour from sitting, to ordering, eating, paying and leaving. I got the chipotle chicken. My friend got the panini. Our waiter was nice and let us move tables to in the sun when one opened. It was a couple minutes walk from my hotel. The menu is quite extensive. We ate here twice during our 5 day stay in the city. First, they're always busy! I take this as a plus. The first meal we had were salads. They were huge, fresh, and well prepared. Definitely filling--all the way to supper. We had breakfast there. Hubs had chocolate banana pancakes with a side of bacon. I had the avocado wrap. Wrap was huge and filled with so much yum. Seriously, not sure how they make their eggs so perfect? Bacon was crispy and plentiful for a side! I think for the typical prices you're paying anywhere in Miami Beach that this place definitely gives you a good bang for your buck. Seating outside is quaint. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because both times the wait staff didn't check on us after delivering our meals. Our cups ran empty both times. Got fruit as sides for both and the fruit cups were extraordinarily above average. Very fresh fruit, including bananas. Would recommend for a solid brunch.
