I have been to Flaco's house a handful of times and each time I've been blown away by the flavor of their Mexican food. I always get their set of three tacos and a big glass of horchata. You can also get a side of grilled jalapeños to make things even spicier. The food can take a little bit of time to arrive depending on how many orders have either come in online or how many people are in front of you but the food is always served with a smile. As a sidenote, if you want anything extra like hot sauce or lime ask the cashier and not to the people making the food as you might get yelled at. If you're driving on the highway and passing by either for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend stopping by here for some authentic yummy Mexican food.

This location is great for the simple fact that they never get it wrong and they always fulfill my request to the T. I just wish the flavor was more in depth, it's just right there at the surface for me but I know I'm a bit bias being from the West Coast. The carnitas didn't have much flavor but it wasn't dry. The Birria was just okay and I can appreciate that the tortillas didn't just fall apart after being reheated and sauced. The elotes needed more flavor as well and if I would've had my tajin then it might've been perfect! Overall I order from here because delivery scares me and they are apart of the few restaurants that consistently get the order and accommodations right.

I don't say this a lot, but WOW! This is a great, authentic Mexican place and we could tell it was amazing just by the smell when opening the door. From the outside it looks dark-it's a small brick building with only a few windows-but inside is bright and cheery. We got a nacho bowl and French fries. We asked if the nachos were enough for two people. The person taking our order showed us a rough size so to be on the safe side we ordered the fries too. But they were not necessary! The nachos were enough for us both. And they were delicious. They were smothered with beans, cheese sauce, cheese and a green salsa with a charred jalapeño on top. So good! The French fries were pretty good too. But stick with the nachos! Service was friendly and quick.

Lightning quick and friendly service. You order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table piping hot! The BIRRIA TACO PLATE is served with rice and beans. Both sides are delicious! The consommé is seasoned perfectly with onions and cilantro. The salsa verde is bright and acidic but not too hot. Best birria tacos in SAVANNAH! I would come here over and over again.

Iv said it once I'll say it a million more times, Flacos has the best tacos and horchata around! Sitting outside is great! Service is amazing the short girl, I don't know her name, is always really nice! And all of the other staff as well. Die hard fan

Was tired of fast food & looking for good food really close to 95 and Yelp reviewers and Flacos came in clutch! My teenager already said next roadtrip we have to stop here. Everything was delicious! Definitely get the elote (aka Mexican street corn) & grilled cheese birria taco. They are both messy but so worth it! Order at the counter and take a seat. They brought food out as it was ready which was pretty quick.

I stopped here during a road trip and what a pleasant surprise. I ordered a chicken burrito and I must say, it was the first proper Mexican burrito I found on the east coast. Pinto beans, not trendy black beans, and no sauce smothered on top. Thank you. Finally no soggy east coast burrito. I also ordered a couple of tacos, and they were very good. One star deducted though for messing up my wife's order. She ordered a Flaco Bowl with carnitas. It had good flavor except the beans were left out and the carnitas were 50% fat. Please trim that fat and include the beans, and this would have been a winner. We'll definitely try again next time we pass through.

Flacos don't play around! Always good food, great music, and great prices. The service is always fast and accommodating. It's a classic you can't go wrong with. Just look at the plate!

Went here for dinner. The hours were helpful since we got to our hotel a little late and weren't ready to head out until 8:30 PM. Flaco's Tacos was still open. If you like tacos then I would definitely recommend this place. The ambiance was super chill and the service was very pleasant. There's some cool Mexican Mayan art inside on the walls. Whoever did it, did a great job and it added to the ambiance. The menu is pretty clear and the tacos are tasty. The birria tacos were delicious. I enjoy ordering them wherever I go because there are always little differences. I get them in Maryland and Virginia and they are delicious depending on where you get them, so they can be a hit or miss. I consider these a hit. I would also recommend the fish tacos and shrimp tacos. The rice and beans were okay but I wasn't there for that but there are sometimes where they are better than expected. Can't go wrong with chasing it down with a sweet horchata or bottled Coca Cola with cane sugar. I'd definitely return to Flaco's Tacos whenever I'm passing through. Hit the spot!

Hit or miss!!! We had flacos for dinner tonight and I have no idea what happened but the food was ROUGH. We've been having flacos for 3 years and unfortunately the quality is never consistent enough. I wish I could give them 2.5 We came here two week ago and I had the BEST nachos with rice, fresh beans, & delish veggies... today idk what happened but it was like night and day. The beans were smashed, the chips were basically empty and others heavily coated. My husband's chicken tasted old today. They also forgot my churros even though we were charged for them. I wish I could rate them higher because I have had some delicious food from this particular location but today was really bad. The line was getting long by the time we got our food. It took 15 mins for us to receive our food. There are plenty of tables if you decide to dine in. They offer catering & different specials. I hope that next time we stop by it will be the same quality we've had before. Final Verdict: Flacos really needs to work on their consistency. No one wants to drive here and have their expectations set on food they've had before only to have a completely different recipe.

A "Weekday" Cheesy Birria taco plate.

Absolutely love Flacos cheesy Birria Tacos, they're the best I've ever had. Just wish they were more consistent when making them at the Ft. Argyle location. Every week I order from there, when I order delivery on weekends, they're absolutely perfect... but when I order during the week- this is what they look like with hardly anything to it. It's hard to give a fair rating when you never know what to expect. If they always provided the ones like they make on weekends, it'd be a 5 star rating. (Hopefully they'll work on this issue, can't see continuing to pay $26 for 3 Birrias delivered that are made like this, very disappointing).

Stopped by on our way up to North Carolina, this place did not disappoint!!!! Incredible food, awesome people, and a great atmosphere to enjoy lunch! The owner and his wife, Flaco and Veronica were incredible and so hospitable. We felt like family from the moment we stepped foot through the doors, and everybody seemed to have the same rapport. The birria and carne asada tacos are a must !!! Looking forward to visit again soon!

Yes, and definitely yes! Tequila and tacos--how can you possibly go wrong?…read more We grabbed seats at the bar, looked over the menu, and I immediately ordered a tequila soda with jalapeños. If you enjoy a little spice in your cocktail, I highly recommend it. Since we were only in town for one night, we planned on hopping around downtown and trying several different places, so we kept it simple and ordered three tacos to share. There were quite a few tempting options on the menu, and every taco we tried was delicious. Looking back, we honestly should have just stayed here all night eating tacos and drinking tequila because none of the other places we visited afterward lived up to this experience. The atmosphere was bright, lively, and fun, with a great location right on the boardwalk. Between the food, drinks, and overall vibe, this ended up being one of our favorite stops of the trip. We'll absolutely be returning the next time we're in town. After experiencing some of the other disappointing spots downtown, this place made us realize we probably didn't need to go anywhere else.

Margaritas were tasty with lots of flavors to choose from. We tried the chips and dip trio. Guacamole was amazing and so was the queso. The salsa we had was okay but would probably choose something different next time we visit. Everyone loved their tacos with everyone having a taste of something different. We finished it off with churros which were just as great as the ones in Disney! Our waiter was very friendly and had good recommendations for tacos to try! It wasn't too busy when we first got there but picked up as the night went on! I recommend for a solid girls night or anyone wanting some great margaritas and tacos!

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.
