AVOID! DAMAGED CAR! The conveyor ripped the plastic from the bottom side of the front bumper on a brand-new car (06/20/2021). After pointing out the problem to the manager, he tried to convince me that the damage was probably from before. He tried to convince me that I hit the curb somewhere. Extremely rude and unprofessional. After I asked him to check the cameras, he said that the owner who has the access to the footage is not present on Sundays. I used to be a customer of this carwash, I never took my new car to any other place, they scratched the glossy edge of our windows, but they are affirming they didn't do it. We sent them pictures and they respond back with an image saying the scratches were already there, as you can see in the pictures there was no scratches before and a lightning reflecting on the glossy edge is their excuse to say that our car was scratched before. This is unacceptable I would never use this place again. Be careful! read more

I've been a couple of times and they did a fine job - nothing amazing but decent. Solid three stars. Last time I went though, i think will be my last time. I was the only customer there and once my car was ready a couple of the workers ushered me to my car and directed me straight to the driver's seat. I remember thinking it was a bit strange but whatever I was in a hurry. Later when I got home I noticed none of the little spots on my car (later found out it's rail head dust) were cleaned. I understand maybe they're not easy to get out. But communicate that with me. I was the only customer, too! I would've paid more to get them out. Had been a long time customer of this location. I discovered today that they raised prices and changed packages to a very high price for worse quality of service. The lowest tier with vacuuming costs $36 now. They spent not even 5 minutes total with your car total and it was still dripping with water when the crew was done with it. They hardly wiped down the interior and I had already driven off before I noticed the terrible job. Interior vacuuming is usually standard for car washes. This new model is one to avoid. read more

I've been a customer of the CT Ave location for 24 years - have never gone anywhere else - and they've lost a loyal customer. Went today after being out of town for several months and was SHOCKED at the 60% price increase for a package with interior cleaning. And they didn't even do a good job. To the credit of the workers, when I pointed it out they went back and redid. But for $36 it should be done right the first time. Quick and professional. Make sure you go early or get on the right side of the street because it can get tricky trying to get in line. But the service is thorough and the line moves quick and your car is clean. Burger King is next door so you can get a whopper but be quick because the guys here make it happen fast. As fortune would have it I was visiting an old friend in DC, and in parking in the wrong alley spot behind his house, I woke up to my car completely egged and violated with with layers and layers of caked on foodstuff. We came to flagship and they squeezed us in on a booked up Saturday afternoon for a premium detailing after the regular car wash couldn't penetrate to all dried on muck. Nice place but hell to get in. Be ready if you turn into Connecticut as the right lane IS the line to get in. If you miss it (like I did) take a right and another at the AVIS car return area. This is also the back of the car wash. Once you get in then they take it. They were done by the time I paid the bill. Very fast!! Prices are comparable to other car washes I have been to. I've been going to this place for literally decades and always liked it. Some of the employees have been there that entire time, and they always did a great job. Today I was dismayed to learn that under the new ownership they won't even touch the interior of the car unless you get one of the top tier washes for more than $30. That's ridiculous! I can understand if prices need to be raised a bit, but a basic car wash really should include a vacuuming and a basic interior wipe down. Guess I'll be finding a new place. Apparently this place is under new management. Now the cheapest price is $36 if you want them to do ANYTHING inside the car. To get them to do the usual things you want them to do inside the car, it is $44. I used to buy a book of tickets for much less than that and if I wanted to add on a service, such as washing the mats, I could do that. But no longer. The outside of the car looks ok but for $36, they hardly touched the inside. I've been using them for many years but I don't think I will go back. read more

Went yesterday and the line was too much so decided to go today. Thank goodness bc there was a thunderstorm last night! The exterior is so shiny and clean it hurts my eyes. I wish they'd been a little more meticulous about the inside, but to be fair it was atrocious. When I asked someone to come back and get the cup holders, he came back vacuumed a little more and got the holders as well. Gave an extra tip for that. read more

This is the second time in 5 years that the ruffians here have snagged the logo on the side of my car and pulled the factory logo off. They will wash your car with a broom out of a bucket of water....and this is not just on your tires...they will run that broom all over your car if you let them. The result is scratches all over the clear coat of your car. The last time the manager handled the damage to my car by giving me a regular wash book for free to make up for the $40 it cost me to have the logo replaced. Today a 6' 2" Mr. Clean, who said he was the owner, came to speak to me about the damage today. I showed him the damage they did and explained to him that this was the second time this happened here. Mr. Clean told me "we are very careful and don't damage cars." He then informed me he wasn't going to deal with me, and told me "don't come back!" Really...I've been going here for over 15 years with both of my cars, and now Mr Clean is going to tell me to go away...and don't come back? I will see you in small claims court, Mr Clean. I went to flagship for my first time on Saturday. I paid for the $35 package which as described was comprehensive both outside and inside. Unfortunately, they did not do a great job. On the outside, there were clear areas, especially on the roof, where there was visible dirt that could easily have been rubbed away, and it was not. On the inside, there were multiple areas which just did not get wiped at all (Very prominent areas like the back of the front seats). They had a lot of people working on the car moving very quickly. This was the worst carwash I have ever gotten. The "Ultra Wash" was spotty, the interior was barely touched and streaked with cleaning fluid or otherwise untouched. Much of the car were not cleaned. This is the only car wash we've been to in DC, so don't know if $22 for a mid-range wash is high or not. But there are coupons available in the Dupont newspaper every week, a check in coupon on Yelp and they seem to give you a coupon for next time with every wash. As today is Fathers Day, they also have a special where you get a free wash if you buy a discount coupon book, which ends up being a great deal. Four or five people are working on the car at once, so the wash is fast and even if there is a line outside you get through it in no time. You pull into the wash, get out of your car to pay and by the time you are done, so is your car. The wash itself was good. Inside of the car was vacuumed and wiped down, outside washed and tires scrubbed and Armour All'd. The car is then hand dried. Workers were friendly, service was fast, car is clean. I have been here twice and have been very pleased. They offer an array of options, including an undercarriage wash. I take my car there to remove winter salt and also debris from road trips. They got the bugs off the windshield and shined the car until it sparkled. The workers are very nice and help me guide the car through. They take off my antenna and replace it. It does not take long to go through. The materials they use appear to be quite clean, no dirty rags. I find it to be a good value, I pay about $20. I could give them another star easily, but I just wish I were more familiar with the various phases, i.e., I'd like to make sure I get the protective coat and just can't tell what part of the process it is. But that probably has to do with the mechanics of the thing. All I know is, I pay about 1/3 of what I do when I have the car detailed and it looks terrific afterwards. I would/could easily give them 4.5 stars. Nice business, nice people, good car wash. Less frenetic than the place on Wisconsin, which I find off-putting--lines/traffic, people crowding, and every time I go by they are using dirty rags. read more

I just want to start off by saying I am not familiar with car washes in the area. First, the price tag is not cheap. The cheapest they have is $18 just for regular car wash. I went with the "ultimate carwash" which was $25 (tax included). I needed my car to look nice since I have guests coming. It's not worth the price at all. They didn't take time to dry off all parts of my car. There were still water spots on one of my windows. Their vacuuming was not very thorough so the interior doesn't look as clean as I like. Also little chunks of bird poo were still on the back of my car even though a simple 3-second scrubbing would have got it off. If the car wash was $10, I wouldn't be so picky but with that price tag. it's not even worth it. Also, let me just note that I have a smaller car too. They couldn't even get a VW beetle clean. read more

I actually don't know why I keep coming to this place but I have a few reasons....they give a discount for checking in on yelp, there next to bread faust, easy in and out, not crowded if you go at the right time. They don't take a long time to clean your car but don't expect your car to come out spotless. I typically keep my car pretty clean so I only have to touch up on a few spots but my windows are always left with streaks but lucky for me I keep a rag handy to clean up what flagship left behind. Staff is pretty friendly until you get to the register and then it gets a little iffy from there. Never had a scratch on my car which is a good thing and my car has never came out looking worst....overall for DC , and upper NW it's decent....either way I dare you to find another in the area....don't worry I will wait read more

I go here when the car is really filthy, but despite going when it's not crowded they always always do poor job of vacuuming and the interior is always dirty. This most recent time I was asked if I wanted my floor mats clean. Like this was an extra service. How bad is it? Growing up in NJ, car washes were like 7 dollars! It's so expensive here and every time they miss spots and don't take the time to care for your car for 18 dollars. My last straw was during snow I came in with some snow on my car and I said I wanted a regular car wash which is $18, but he said no you have to do the supreme which is $26.
