I refinanced my car with another company at the end of April. Since then I have been waiting to get my GAP refund check in the mail. I call to check the status and have been told call back in 7-10 days. I do that and I get told it can take 60-90 days to be mailed out. I wait 60-90 days and then am told 60-90 business days. Still waiting for this check that they've already received. I've confirmed with the insurance company that the check was cleared so why is it taking so long for me to get it. I'm writing concerning my account I have made on time payments since Feb - Jun of 2024 that have (Not) been reported to my credit bureau I fill that it's unfair that these payments are not reported. I've been calling for weeks to get in contact with the flag credit department and ask them to report all payments for this year since Feb thru Jun up til July now and i received No results. They took my son's car. Never called him because the dealership entered his phone number wrong. Think they did it deliberately. First time buyer with his fiancee. Her credit was 750 and his was 600. They were told their payment was going to be between $300-400. They got their first payment and it was $759.92. THEY NEVER WOULD'VE TAKEN IT AT THE AMOUNT. They are only 21 and 19. They came and repoed it Wednesday night and didn't follow PA law. So now we are suing both them and the dealership for deceptive practices. All my payments are paid thru my bank ahead of time and shows delivered up to a week ahead with a confirmation number from my bank. Yet almost two weeks later they show that my payment has not been paid. Customer service sucks!! Most people you talk with can barely speak english and are not very helpful. Honestly after reviewing everyone else's reviews, I am so sorry to hear of the very negative experience you all have had. We have experienced an issue with them when it comes to the pandemic and losing income. We were told by a person in customer service that we would get put on a reduced payment plan, and they never put us on one even after having our car for 2 years and only 2 prior missed payments. Both missed payments due to the pandemic. But that is the only issue we have ever had. This company has worked with us and if it were not for the incident mentioned above, I would have given them 5 stars. They are simple. If you miss a payment, CALL THEM BEFORE THEY CALL YOU!!! Make a payment arrangement and if you cannot keep that arrangement, CALL THEM BEFORE THE PAYMENT IS EXPECTED TO COME OUT and work something out. COMMUNICATION is the key to having a good relationship with them. Let's face it...Flagship is a subprime lender for those of us who have less than perfect credit. So use them until you can do better! I will have to also say that I would refer them to anyone else we know. They have been faithful to honor our past payment arrangements and they only start calling you when you are 30 days past due and when you don't honor your payment arrangements. They can get VERY OBNOXIOUS with their 50 calls a day from random numbers etc... This company does not follow California laws regarding repossessions. I did not receive any notices informing me where to pick up my belongings or when and where the car was being sold. They said I didn't qualify so I continued making my payments but now that unemployment has dropped to its lowest I'm having a difficult time and once again they refused to give me a deferment saying I don't qualify. They will not return any of my emails the customer service representatives will set up a payment arrangement with you but call you 2 to 5 times A-day. If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would. First off, we are ALL living and experiencing a global pandemic at the moment. We are real life people who are experiencing real life hardship and all Flagship is trying to do is save a** and send out emails like this: "To our valued customers, As the Coronavirus outbreak continues to have impact both on a local and global level, Flagship Credit wishes to communicate that we are monitoring this outbreak and its potential impact on the well-being of our customers and team members. We take this situation seriously, the health and safety of our customer and team members are the highest priority. We have implemented contingency plans that have enabled us to continue to conduct business as usual. We are here, and we continue to provide timely service to our valued customers. If, for immediate assistance, you would prefer to access your account online, we suggest that you utilize our self-service platform, the Flagship Credit Customer Portal, for 24/7 access to your account." Meaning they know whats going on, but they are trying to play day by day because they still want to collect interest and cause late payments or possibly start repossessing cars. When I called to discuss my hardship the agent was uncaring (probably because she's getting the same call every call). We discussed ability to pay considering that everyone is either out of work or working limited hours and no expected date to resume regular. In return, I was offered a one month extension even with my honesty stating that next expected payment may not be accommodated due to the unexpectancy we are ALL facing. So you know what flagship did in return, they asked me for a reference, address, name, and phone number, because I'm getting an extension (that's subject to denial) incase we can't resume payments. Meaning that if we can't make payments after the ONE month extension that they will start repossession process. I have never made a late payment the time with flagship and have alway late paid more. As a borrower on the loan, I understand that Flagship has a simple interest contract which means I am charged interest on the unpaid principal balance on a daily basis. I know what I signed up for and I know asking for assistance (extension for two plus months) causes accrued interest meaning more interest to pay. If I understand that, I don't know why Flagship is not doing the MOST they can for their customers instead of being halfass and playing it "day by day". Also, I don't feel like a valued customer nor do they treat their customers like their valued because at the beginning of March I attempted to call to be proactive about my hardship and was denied because I was 28 days current again meaning flagship is just saying "uh you good you got 28 days to make a payment we'll see when we get there" what type of mess is that?! There are several things wrong with this company and no type of consideration nor accountability. If you are offered a contract or refinance from this company RUN or don't sign. I refinanced my car with this company in 2021 and the fees and interest are ridiculous. I called starting in February of 2024 because I was experiencing a hardship due to health issues. I was told so many different things. One person said that a supervisor would be calling me back and might have worked something out for me. Others told me I maxed out the number of extensions and would not be able to get help ever again and to either refinance somewhere else or turn the car in (mind you I'm not over 30 days late). Also their website still has a page to get help for covid but they told me it's no longer offered. Horrible! I am trying to get my Pay of quote updated to reflect the correct principal mount, however I am paid in advance by a month an a half due to making Bi-Weekly payments ( 3 partial monthly payments). I called on 6/5 and requested the overpaid balance be applied to the principal and move my due date back on track to next month, I called again on 6/9 and the adjustment hadn't been done but I found out it wasn't requested correctly either. I called again on 6/10 and this time was finally transferred to a supervisor as requested and found it was still not processed but even if they applied the payments to the principal it would not adjust my payoff amount due to interest (?). I requested a copy of an itemized statement to view how the payments are broken down and the supervisor said that is not available on the website, they would need to submit a request to have someone else email it to me. Today 6/11, the payments have been adjusted but the principal amount did not change at all... This is how it went: . I had overpaid $1236.39 from (5/1 $412.13, 5/15 $412/13 and 5/29 $412.13), I was paid through august 6th 2020. removing this payment from my July bill to add it to my principal should reduce my total payoff amount, the supervisor stated out of every payment of $412.13 about $135 was applied to interest, that tells me at least my principal should have decreased by $405 and it did not. (CONFUSED) This company has shady practices, a complete breakdown of principal and interest should be available to the person financing and paying on the loan. Additionally there is no way to make principal only payments via their website, they do not want you to pay off early and reduce the interest rates they are sucking from the consumer. To pay down principal a check would need to be mailed in and you will need to hope they apply it correctly with in the 2 weeks it takes to process on their end. Consumers deserve to know where their money is going! Not having a view of the breakdown as other finance companies offer seems like they do not have honest business practices. If I could give them zero stars I would. I have been out of work for medical issues since July 2024. I have applied for a loan modification twice. The first time I was denied because I was told needed to make a payment. I made the payment and applied for a loan modification again. I was turned down again because they were not sure where I would get the money from. I asked could they explain to me their logic. It would be much easier to ask someone for $300 verses $651. My parents have helped me with all of my bills until my short term disability begins at the end of this month. I've tried working with them and by no means am I trying to get out of a paying. I pleaded with these people and I was told nothing they could do. Again, I'm not trying to get over I just need temporary relief until I can return to work in December. They just will not work with those people who actually are trying their best and have experienced life. One rep even told me I that I could not refinance with any other company for a year. I had an OK score at the time and they gave me an APR over what the state allowed. At the time i had no idea what that was, after some research i seen i had been over charged for nearly 3 years. they didn't post 3 payments i made during the loan saying i didn't make them. My bank statement said differently. The faught me tooth and nail to get a 10 day payoff trying to run the date into my next monthly payment. the bank i refiananced with even tried to call them to get the payoff. Harassing me about an account I have absolutely NO connection to, can't get ahold of a real person only their pointless automated system!!

We were going to purchase a Nissan Path Finder. We had signed all the paperwork and justing waiting to pick the car up. The car dealer found a problem with the Path Finder that could not be fixed. We never drove the Path Finder off the lot. We ended up "giving" it back to the dealer and taking another vehicle. This was in March 2023. 1. Flagship Credit keeps calling us wanting money from us. We have explained numerous times to the Flagship Credit callers that we no longer the own the car. Flagship needs to call EC Cars in Burleson, Texas. 2. Today, January 27, 2024, an agent called from Flagship Credit - at 11:30. I believe he said his name was Maurice. But he did not offer a last name nor did he identify that he was calling from FlagShip Credit.i refused to answer any of his questions until he properly identified himself - this my my rule for answering phone calls. He became angry and rude. He ended up calling me "buddy" with a hateful tone of voice. My name is not Buddy. And his demeanor simply indicates that FlagShip Credit is not a customer friendly company. After over two months of trying to get even a status regarding my GAP insurance refund and going through multiple different "agencies" I confirmed my check was mailed to Flagship, subsequently it was cashed and yet they had no updates for me or could confirm anything. I have asked for the last 4 payments  *6/19 $650 *7/17 $500 *9/5 $700  *10/15 $800  on my account to be applied towards my Principal balance and I have yet to see it be applied. I dont understand why it hasn't been applied.  In total $1,237.37 went to interest when that should have gone towards my principal balance. I'm writing because my husband's credit report has not been reported since the month of April. I understand that his account has not always been in good standing but he has worked hard to get it caught up and we even paid ahead. He has called numerous times explaining this situation and that he needs his report updated with the current history, balance, and has gotten completely no where. We recently made a move out of state and recently tried purchasing a home but because flagship failed to help him as a customer in anyway with updating his credit file. Our home fell out of escrow because his credit file still shows him in bad standings. This is completely unacceptable and such horrible customer service! He has reached out more times then I cant over the last 3-4 weeks and every single time is told we are working on it. This is the worst customer service we have ever experienced and very irritated that this happened. My husband and I now have to start our home buying adventure all over again because of this. I'm hoping this email reaches someone of high authority and is resolved in a very fast and timely matter because we will not stop calling or writing or disputing any if this until its resolved. I cannot even begin the list of complaints I have against this company. My car should have been paid off this month but with all the fees and interest, I have another year and a half. They call 8-10 times a day to every number they have. Each representative will give a different answer and lie whenever they have to. If it wouldn't screw up my credit even worse, I would give them the car back, especially since I don't drive to my office every day. But their constant phone calls have interrupted my Zoom and Teams meeting repeatedly and I have asked them to stop multiple times and now it is causing problems with my job. This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with! Horrible customer service, they never reply to emails - even though they provide that as a form of communication on their website, and they always seem unsure about their processes. I requested a payoff letter from Flagship in order to refi with a new lender. They provided me the letter on 12/19/2019 and I submitted a check for the full amount the very next day (12/20/2019). This check was marked as delivered, but Flagship claimed to never receiving the check, so I had the first check cancelled, and issued a new one for the confirmed, same amount. I figured that given it was around the holidays, the check was probably delayed or somehow marked delivered when it actually hadn't. The second check that I sent was marked as delivered, although I was receiving countless phone calls from Flagship saying my account was past-due. I continued to tell them that my check had been delivered, provided the check and tracking numbers to better assist in the situation. After a couple of days of no activity on my account (i.e. balance being paid off in full), I contacted Flagship inquiring about the status of the pay off. I was transferred four times as no one was able to provide me with any information except for that my check was never received. I then cancelled the second check and overnighted a third check for the confirmed, same amount. Now, I understand this payoff was good for ten days (as stated on the document), although I confirmed the amount due every time I spoke with a representative. During this process, one of the reps even said that they notated my account to honor my original payoff amount. Yesterday, my check was marked as delivered and this morning I logged into my account and it states that I have a couple hundred dollars due. I contacted them and after bring transferred four times again, they said that "since my pay off was paid after the original pay off date, I am responsible for the additional amount." This is very frustrating because I confirmed MANY times with Flagship what amount was due and now, the day my check was applied to my account, they state that I owe a few hundred dollars more. If I was informed properly that my payoff amount was not honored due to the circumstances and that I owed more, I would have had my pay off check be for the new amount. I have never worked with a company that has such a disconnect with communication. Glad I got out of working with them! read more

I had covid for 2 months and was very sick. I called and reached out for help with  flagship and they put one payment on the back end when I was owing over $1000.  I have proof that I was sick. It was not my fault that I got covid.  My brother, who is a cosigner for me, has been hit hard on his credit report. I have reached out to set up a $500 payment on the 24th and $1000 payment on the 2nd of October. All over the flagship website it says that you would help those with covid.  All I want is for these late payments to not hit my brother's credit report.  After going back to work I will not see a paycheck until the 24th. This is a huge stress on me when I am trying to get caught up after being on literally what was almost my death bed.  I don't know what else to do.  It is not my brother's fault either that covid happened to me.  We are not people with deep pockets and sometimes the smaller people need help also.
