Within the month I went through a few quarts of oil... come to find out after taking it to my local mechanic it needs a new motor, found metal in the rear end and belts need replaced. Buy a car elsewhere. Flagship sold us an SUV without functioning headlights. When confronted about it, the male owner got very defensive and accused us of removing them. Each bulb for this SUV costs $115 new from O'Reillys so there is no reason that I would have removed them. Also, the bulbs were in the SUV, they were just blown. And further, blaming a customer seems like bad customer service but maybe that is just me. Being defensive raises a red flag already. While replacing the bulbs, we discovered that there were blown fuses and relays as well adding to the issue. Even with new bulbs, we were without headlights until we homed in on where the short was located. We have now replaced all fuses and relays only to find that the ballasts are bad. Each of these cost around $80. This has now cost me SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix. And it isn't even fixed yet. At the time of the purchase, the younger guy who sold me the car FORGOT to have me finish some paperwork. I live 45 minutes away from the dealership and had to drive back the next day to go finish the paperwork. Also at the time of purchase, I was given a "Due Bill" to have my brake fluid flushed and power steering fluid drained a bit because it was too full (I took it to a mechanic on my test drive to have the engine checked while I was test driving it.) Two very easy things to do, I had to make an appointment to go back yet AGAIN to get these services done. Aside from them selling a car without headlights and wasting my time and gas to finish paperwork and complete the due maintenance, the lady who assisted (I use that term loosely) in my trade-in added to the experience by continuously calling me to have me contact my previous lien holder so she could get her trade-in check. I was then AGAIN asked to contact them because she did not feel as though she was getting the check fast enough and she wanted me to ask them if/when they were sending the title to her. Seems like calls she should be making, not me. In conclusion, my experience with Flagship was that they lack attention to detail, they are fine with selling cars without functioning headlights so safety is not a high priority for them, they have no regard for their customer's time, and they don't see anything wrong with having the customer do their jobs for them. I bought this car at the end of September. Between only having so much time in a day to get things done and waiting on car parts to be delivered, it is now November and I still cannot drive at night because of this mess. read more

My 20 year old daughter was looking to purchase her first car herself. After weeks of searching, she found the one she wanted. She found it at Flagship Motors in Nampa (white Jeep Cherokee Altitude). We test drove it and she fell in love. They mentioned they needed to put new tires on it and fix a couple of other items and it would be ready to go in a couple of days. We asked if we could take it to our Mechanic for a once-over and they obliged. Our Mechanic had some concerns (oil in the filter, oil in odd places). He said it wasn't necessarily an issue of concern, but definitely something that needed checked out before we decide to purchase. We took the car back to the dealership with that knowledge, and they had their mechanic look at it again. They realized they hadn't changed the filter (they copped to their mistake). They changed the filter, and some other checks and ultimately told us the car was good to go! They handled all of our concerns very respectfully and with knowledge. I never felt like they were trying to pull one over on us. I felt they cared that my Daughter got into a good car. She ended up purchasing the car and using their recommended credit bureau for financing. Overall - a great car buying experience!! Definitely recommend! read more

Andrew was great about helping me with the paperwork, after I had my heart pretty set on this one vehicle, and together; him and the owner and I, Lisa worked hard but Flagship Motors did good job, and were dedicated and put forth a lot of effort to make a deal. I had a terrible experience with Flagship Motors and certainly would not recommend them. I recently purchased a 2012 Volkswagen CC. There seemed to be some problems with the transmission, however, they assured me that it was behaving the way it was because it had not been "reset." They indicated it was a "learning" transmission and would adjust shift points the more I drove it to feel smoother. I was not able to take the car to a mechanic before I purchased it but felt they were being honest with me, clearly, this was a mistake and I should not have trusted their word. Let me clarify a bit more: There was more to the communication than me just asking one time if all was working properly with the car. Over the course of weeks, I spent much time on the phone with them, asking questions, requesting confirmation of work that had been done, photos, and other issues regarding the condition of the car. Because there had been so much communication, I did feel confident and comfortable with them. I certainly trusted them with regards to how thorough their mechanics reviewed this vehicle and decided to travel some 7 hours to make the purchase. I immediately took the car for a test drive upon arrival. I felt a slight hesitation on the initial acceleration. The owner of the dealership assured me that a reset was needed for the "learning transmission" and that once it was reset this "jitteriness" or hesitation would dissipate. He also reconfirmed that their mechanics had done an extremely thorough investigation of the vehicle and saw nothing was to be of concern. Again, based on our weeks of communication and assurance by the dealership, I had no reason to doubt their sincerity or knowledge of the problem. I then drove the vehicle back to Portland, again the vehicle seemed to drive fairly well, except for initial acceleration. Once back in Portland I was able to bring the vehicle to a trusted, certified VW mechanic and his reaction was absolute shock that another mechanic would have written this off as "good condition". The mechanic's words were "they (the dealers mechanics) are either absolutely incompetent as mechanics and could not tell you if a broken vehicle was broken or they're flat out lying to their customers". The mechanic fixed the transmission mounting bracket as well as the engine mounting brackets, and that cost me just over $1000. To get the transmission fixed I was quoted in the $2200 range. At this point, I feel that it's important to share my experience with Flagship Motors if for no other reason, to keep anyone else from going through the stress and financial hardship that has happened to me. read more

I ended up so disappointed. I bought a car from them, for what LOOKED like, a very reasonable price. I was even ok with the crazy high interest rates because the car seemed to be priced so fair. In the end it was because they were trying to unload a lemon. I cannot even safely sell the car before I do at least these repairs: Broken front bearing and alignment 976$ A/c clutch 1,100 and 2 tires. Putting thousands of dollars down the toilet is one thing, but knowing that they put me on the road in danger is a whole new kind of disrespect. I caution you. read more

I'll never do business with these guys again! Sold me a truck with a check engine light on. They said they would fix it. After a dozen trips their mechanic (without fixing the problem), they just gave up and I told me I needed to take care of it myself. They replaced the catalytic converter before I bought it and their guy put it back on wrong. The exhaust pipe broke off the engine. I had to pay to fix that, radiator went bad within just a couple months of purchasing it and the alternator is going out. Worst purchase I've ever made! read more

I purchased a used-vehicle from this dealership in July, for what seemed like a good price on a good car. After speaking to the owner, Thom Brown, reviewing the car fax history, making a few negotiations, and thinking the purchase over for a night, I felt confident in making the decision to purchase my car here. The car was missing the antenna and the trunk floor, so I said if they replaced those and paid to get my windows tinted, I would pay full price -- they agreed. I asked twice about whether the serpentine belt had been replaced in this car, because it wasn't apparent on the carfax. Thom said he would look into it and get back; Thom later assured me that the serpentine belt had in fact been "just replaced". I felt good about everything and bought the car, signing a contract agreeing that my purchase was "as is". A couple weeks later, I took my car into a shop to get an oil change/tune up before I left on a long distance road trip. To my surprise, the car shop owner informed me that the car was completely UNSAFE TO DRIVE and they would not let me take it on the road until I made the necessary repairs - replace the timing and alternator belts immediately. As a recommendation, they told me I needed to strongly consider replacing all 4 struts, two of which were seeping. The alternator belt was in sketchy shape, though not as bad as the timing belt, which was literally hanging on by a thread, flapping around inside the enclosure, waiting to break at any moment to cause more damage. Additionally, whoever installed the belt put it on UPSIDE DOWN!!! Not to mention the enclosure itself was missing multiple bolts, and the valve cover gaskets were completely disintegrated. Having to hand over $900 dollars to get your car unexpectedly fixed right before a vacation road trip is a real bummer. Especially when you purchased the car from a local dealer who assured you the belt was "just replaced". I would also like to know who is the mechanic that installed this upside down belt..? The 4 strut replacements were quoted at an additional $1200+.. suddenly this seemingly good deal became about $2200 more than I intended to pay for a used car in the first place. One good outcome is that I have found a local HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE car repair shop who I trust with my car. I have a great car now because of them, no thanks to Thom Brown and Flagship Motors. Thom Brown is a dishonest car salesman. Do not buy from his dealership. read more

Tom and Lisa have a good commercial and appear to be genuine people. I bought a 2012 Chevy Malibu priced $500 below Blue Book a month ago. I should have taken the car to my mechanic prior to purchase. Tom made it clear at signing there would be no warranty and I was buying the car "as is" with the exception they would repair the gage light that was burned out. They also replaced a burned out headlight. I should have asked them to do both headlights at the same time. The other headlight is out now and it will be $150 to have it replaced. It needed an oil change. My mechanic discovered an oil pan leak and said there is a cut on the inside of one tire and all the tires are trashed. So, before I have even made the first payment I need to put roughly $1000 into the car. I would like to believe they would have worked with me if I had discovered these issues prior to purchase. I would recommend anyone buying a used car should make sure to have it inspected thoroughly first. It's a costly mistake for me. read more

I'd never heard of them, so was a little nervous, but Thom and Lisa, the owners, quickly convinced us that they knew what they were doing. They were also charming, which is not always what you expect from a used car dealership. The sales experience was like night and day compared to my previous experience at another local dealership. This one was fast and fun, and I'm so happy with my new purchase. It helps take the sting out of the fact that my previous Tucson was totaled while parked outside my house, minding its own business. My Wife and I purchased a great 2006 volvo from flagship around 90 days ago. I was mildly pleased to find that a mechanic that they use had replaced my older volvo's transmission 7 years ago. It was acknowledged that there was some unresolved issue's with this car's transmission, and we were still interested ,so we bought the car. The experience at the bank getting financing worked out GREAT for us and ended up saving us some $$ with refinancing some loans/debt etc. The car went back in for planned work a few times and once via an unplanned tow in. The owners accommodated us and worked with us at every juncture, and did go above and beyond in certain respects in parts and labor costs and also chose to offer a loaner vehicle. So far after the last trip to their mechanic shop the problems seemed resolved as far as the car's performance,... as far as their contract responsibilities I think they fulfilled them definitely, and I can add that they also made a few verbal promises in addition that they honored without a doubt. this was both my wife and I's first time buying a car from a dealership, used or new, previous vehicles were bought from individuals or gifted. Personally I would expect a used car to possibly need work within days of leaving a lot, just like I expect the same could happen when buying from an individual, which did happen to myself in the past. In this case I think we definitely came out better in the end having gone through the financing and dealership experience than if we bought the same car from an individual. WARNING: I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! This husband and wife sales team was completely dishonest with us and sold my family an unsafe vehicle! We have had nothing but problems with our minivan and were forced to sink over $1200 into repairs after less than a month of owning the car. The owners of this dealership were aware of the problems and agreed to fix the transmission (we literally had a transaxle light begin to flash as we drove away from the dealership and brought it back) without even inspecting the vehicle they gave us a diagnosis that would be a cheap solution for them but still a safety issue for me and my children. At that point I did not trust them at all, they pretended to be friendly while trying to sell the car but as soon as papers were signed they refused to stand by the "quality" of the vehicle they had to offer us. So I took the car to two transmission shops to get second and third opinions as to what repairs actually needed to be done. THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE COMPLETELY REBUILT! The first transmission shop just looked at me and said "Is there any way you can take this car back?" I immediately contacted the dealership after having the van physically inspected and properly diagnosed and informed them of the problem since they had agreed both verbally and in writing to fix the transmission. The wife's response when I told her about the need for a new transmission was, "So." She went on to say that when they agreed to fix the transmission, they only meant that they would do a tranny flush (which will do nothing for a transmission that needs replacing/rebuilding) In addition to the transmission, we were driving and suddenly lost all power steering when a loose hose failed, nearly causing an accident between my family and a truck. Shortly after, another issue caused us to again lose all power while in traffic. The car just died while driving my kids to school one morning and we had to have it towed. If you are looking to purchase a safe, dependable vehicle from an honest company with integrity that cares about the quality and safety of their inventory, it is my experience that this is NOT the place to go!! We were treated terribly and it is my opinion that these folks are not demonstrating interest in running a respectable business, but are only out to line their own pockets with not a care in the world for their customers. I love my family and was looking to spend my hard earned money on a vehicle that would be a safe and reliable way to travel. Instead I am stuck making payments for a vehicle that I can't count on, and I still have over $1000 more dollars in repairs to go. I will never be able to wrap my head around some people's ability to behave in such a way, but I do know this: there are plenty of other dealerships around here to chose from so I wouldn't waste your time or money here if I were you. read more
