The pretzel is amazing and service was great! Got our food in 15 minutes. Recommend the appetizer pretzel and the Flagship burger.

Firstly, FYI - even though in the COVID bridging phase, no Covid protocols at all here. No one is wearing a mask or socially distance. FYI only. Beer selection is great. Have some good cocktails also. Food portions are very large. We all had various types of burgers, which were ok. Not amazing but not bad either. One of my favorite foods to eat out is WINGS... I'm particular to the way they are cooked though, mostly taste but also since I'm doing KETO diet. I like them grilled without breading( that's the way I cook them). Not only are they grilled but but they asked how well done I like them, 1st time I was asked that. I've been here twice now and one was last night. Both time the servers tried to up charge us on our bill thinking we wouldn't ask for a print out. Both times it was $10-$15 over the normal price and when I questioned it they said there was addition charges for the drinks we ordered. Still didn't make sense so when I asked for a print out of the receipt they came back and apologized and said they made an error. If you go here make sure you are keeping track of what you order because this is just unprofessional at all levels. read more

I've been here 3 times so far with various groups. Food and service has always been excellent. It's a big place and has a huge bar that resembles the famed Cheers Bar. Always a great mix of people, very casual environment and awesome food/beer/drink selection. I highly recommend Flagship on the Fox! First time at the Flagship, and it was a good visit. Place was hopping due to NFL playoffs on most of the many TV's. Loud crowd, good game atmosphere. Seemed to be too few tables in the bar area, and though the adjacent room was half-full, it seems like a summer only area...kind of a weird feel. Service was quick and friendly, menu for food and drink was expansive. I had a Grilled cheese with soup & fries. Would rate the sandwich and soup a 10, really great. Fries were hand cut, but either not cooked long enough, or left sitting for too long...flimsy, not crisp at all. My wife had a great salad, and we both had terrific craft beers. Great fun atmosphere. Excellent beer selection. Varied menu, good music, excellent service. This was our first visit and we enjoyed a couple of salads (large portions) and 2 sandwiches, one with hand-cut fries and one with waffle fries. Waffle fries were superior, don't pass them up. Our server was attentive, food came out fast. Too fast for my preference, but not a ding by most standards. We'll be back soon. read more

Nice atmosphere, but the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. Went for dinner with my family of 4 and the restaurant was empty. Took 10 minutes to have a waiter stop by and then it seemed like we were a nuisance to him. He didn't smile or ask what we wanted, just looked at us to get drink orders. Once those came, he dropped them off and didn't ask if we were ready to order. We had to see the hostess and request a waiter, after waiting about 15 minutes. The hostess was at the hostess table on her phone the entire time. I get it wasn't busy, but not professional. When the waiter came back, it was the same demeanor. He actually just slide the plates and silverware on the table passing by and didn't even acknowledge us. The food was brought by the kitchen staff and again no greeting. Food was decent, with the exception of my son's burger, which was actually spoiled. I took a bite when he said it was bad (because I didn't believe him) and couldn't even swallow it. They took it back, no apologies and just offered a different dish. At that point we were grossed out and declined. We paid the bill and upon walking out the hostess did tell us to have a nice night, but didn't look up from her phone. Too bad the staff was so poor, as the atmosphere is neat. SLOW SERVICE.. all the bar staff and waitresses are too busy on their phones, standing around, checking one another out and can't seem to pay attention to the fact you need a drink. 2nd time in( only came back in Because an out of town guest wanted to check it out) and the waitress spilled the drinks all over table not once but twice, never wiped them up... had to ASK her for napkins so we could clean her spill.. then ordered WINGS for 4... she brought 3 forks and no napkins and seemed confused when we asked for an extra fork because no one wanted to share a fork. 80 people on the payroll and no one can get you a drink in a prompt fashion.. This was my 3rd time because the food is good! Real good. So why 3 stars? Service is not the best. And if you're going to have good food please train your staff to be that good too. Please tell me why, WHY? do you have to put a pickle chip on every sandwich and a spear on the plate! Not everyone likes pickles. And when I know you do this and I specifically tell the bartender NO PICKLE ON MY SANDWICH OR PLATE and it shows up with both, I'm disappointed. The runner checked the kitchen ticket and the bartender didn't specify my request. Pickle juice on the bread and the fries is so unappealing. But sending back food because of that is so wasteful I can't bring myself to do it. I'm not allergic. Just offended. So I ate all but the top of the sandwich and half the fries. Furthermore. When people sit at the bar they want interaction. That's why we sit there. Regardless that there was a change over in shift, the service was mediocre. I swear the first girl did everything she could to not take our order because she was on her way out. And her replacement never checked back on our food. Asked one time.... "want another beer?" Nope. Too late. We walked next door and had another beer. It's not hard to provide good customer service. Be more interested in doing your job, interacting with your customers than chatting up the other waitstaff. Unattended customers can see you doing that and it's annoying. I might give you another chance because the food is good. Ramp up the customer service and attention to detail and you'll be the place to go! And just stop with the pickles. Save yourselves the $$$. The atmosphere was awesome and the food was equally as good. We had the chopped salad, which was huge and reminded us of a better take on the Portillo's style version. The Merkts Cheddar Burger was also perfectly cooked and more than filling. Our bartender Danica was extremely attentive, made great small talk, and quality drinks. My friend and I have been to the flagship twice after a great day Biking and kayaking from mills cycling shop. We discovered the Flagship after for lunch. Our servers were exceptional. I'm terrible on names but our favorite server was a Irish gal. We are out doors both times. The portions are hugh! and inexpensive. If you want a great sandwich, this is the place to go to. Enjoyed our first dinner at Flagship tonight. Everyone was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Fish taco appetizer was a huge hit - a bit spicy for me so an option of picking spice level would be great. I had a blackened chicken sandwich which was good but could have done without the cheese that tasted like an inexpensive and heavy cheese spread. Odd thing is that this ingredient isn't listed on menu. Had it been, chances are high I wouldn't have ordered it. The cheese was so heavy that it negated all of the other potential flavors. Husband had the bbq pork grilled cheese which he liked a lot. What he didnt like were the french fries which were on the soggy side but they were replaced with no problem. We went there last Sunday after giving it a few weeks after opening and we were not disappointed. A classic sports bar with a downtown atmosphere. My husband had the macaroni & cheese grilled cheese sandwich (surprisingly, not messy at all) and I had the California club, and both were delicious and served with ample fries. We also had the Tres Amigos appetizer, which is their chips with two types of guac (one is bacon-pineapple--yum!) and one salsa. The chips were excellent--kind of a cross between tortilla chips and Doritos. The server was friendly and attentive. We had two soft drinks, and the total bill was $40 and change. We took home half of my sandwich and fries, plus the leftover chips (we stopped eating when the entrees came) and got to enjoy it again at work the next day. We shall return! read more

Really wanted to like this place. To start there was no hostess so you had to seat your self, that would be fine for only a bar but coming for dinner or lunch it just caused alot of people to just walk around aimlessly. They also had no water? You had to get your own water out of an igloo cooler on a table? What? Our bill was 100$ for burgers and some cocktails and I have to go get my own water? They're trying to be too trendy. The burger and fries were the only good things there. The bacon wrapped shrimp tacos came with 2 tiny tiny shrimps. They were not that good. If you have asperations to be an Instagram thot then this is the place for you other than that don't waste your time read more

Went into FOTF for dinner tonight. There was a sign to seat yourself. We saw all the seats were taken then walked through the bar to look around in there, no seats available. Then the small elevated table section near the bar had reserved signs on them. We all felt as if there could have been a few more tables in the swing room area and some more high tops throughout the bar area. We did not see much food being eaten, just lots of drinks. It would be nice if they had a hostess to seat those that came into eat, not just drink and linger. I know it's new so I hope they work out their kinks. We ended up leaving and going to The Office down the street for food. Place seems to have potential, I hope it does well. read more

A new exciting bar and eatery in Saint Charles Perry I was able to go right before the governor pritzker shut down this business along with a lot of other bars and for a long time this was the last bar I went to. The overall experience was excellent in a highly recommend people in the area checking out of what I believe is a newer bar as I don't recall ever being in this building before period the service was excellent and there was great beers and a great smelling kitchen, which I did not happen to try at this time period over all this is a great place to hang around read more

Beer not cold enough, food was disappointing- cold cheese curds, no marinara (although menu clearly stated it) and just a terrible presentation.- compared to what you see on Facebook! Absolutely love this place! My husband and I come here all the time with our friends. It's a great place to have dinner or have a few drinks with friends. The swings are probably my favorite part of the whole place! I've never received bad service here and the staff is so nice. I typically get the flagship grilled cheese which comes with a side (I get fries) and a cup of their tomato bisque. The outside of the grilled cheese has Parmesan cheese baked on the bread which adds an extra crunch! If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out! read more

This is a really good solid local bar/restaurant. The menu has a lot of good options for both my wife and I, who have divergent palates, and we both have things we look forward to eating. The beer selection is good and there are specialty drinks that my wife likes. The sports on the many TVs also is a huge plus. It is one of our regular choices in the area. read more

Ate here on Saturday night. Really cool atmosphere. Awesome music selection (there was a DJ). Great tap beer selection. Good food overall. I had the nachos and they were great. I'll be back to give it another try. Three items to note: (1) It was "seat yourself" when we were there at 8pm. I wish they would have had a hostess to check for available tables and seat you. (2) Two people in my group had the grilled cheese and found it to be just average. The Grilled Cheese options were highlighted on center of the menu in their own box. If you highlight something on your menu like that, you should make sure you knock it out of the park! They also noted that the tomato soup was weird. (3) The music was really loud. At 8pm on a Saturday people are still eating dinner and want to talk. We had to yell to hear each other. They should wait until say 10pm to turn up the volume for the bar crowd. read more
