Myra was my server today. She was so patient & sweet with me. I've been learning to use my iPhone wallet to pay for things, even though I know it's easy, I don't always get it right. She patiently waited for me to figure it out. I ordered the Chicken Kabob Kids Salad. So delicious and just the right amount of food for me. Everything is cooked to order. I use to love this place but lately they've just been going downhill. The interior of this particular one looks run down and sketchy which almost made me leave but I was craving the chicken shawarma bowl something fierce. I've noticed that they changed the hot sauce which it now is more like a salsa which completely changes the flavor profile. They use to have a chili garlic sauce and it just blended better with the bowl. I've also noticed they made the bowls smaller so you get less food for more money since they raised the prices. For these reasons I will start to explore other options for my next shawarma craving. read more

There were 2 plates missing and when I told them they said they were out of rice so they cancelled those items from my order. The receipt stapled to the bag didn't show it as being cancelled. This was by far the worst Shawarma wrap I've ever ate. Wrapped within the hard pita casing was meat, gristle, one strand of red onion, 1/6 of a slice of tomato, and a sample of their sauce. The sauce appeared to have good flavor. However, there wasn't enough there to provide an honest opinion. You're guaranteed a large piece of gristle in every other bite. Calling this a Shawarma wrap is an insult to Mediterranean cuisine. This wrap resembled beef carcass/jerky wrapped in baked animal hide. Today I ordered the falafel plate with hummus, tzatziki, hummus, and rice. The plate comes with a warm pita bread that they make on site. The falafel's here are delicious, they are crunchy and crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. They don't fall apart like I've had at other places and they are not dry. They are seasoned just right and the tzatziki, hummus, and tahini sauce the restaurant serves with them is delicious. The plate is fairly large and it's definitely shareable if you have a small appetite or are looking for a snack. The plate was under $16 including taxes. The restaurant on Coffee Road is always clean. There is plenty of parking and seating inside. There is only one bathroom, and it is gender neutral... But I think it was the men's bathroom because there is a urinal in there. It could use a little cleanup and freshening up, but overall it was OK. I always order in the yelp app and pick my order up from this location. The ambiance is lovely, but I prefer to eat in the comfort of my home and in sweatpants. I've never had any issues, in fact my food is always fresh and amazing. I haven't personally had the consistency issues across locations, thank goodness, because when the craving hits for their chicken kabob with garlic sauce, I NEED it. That garlic sauce is good on everything. I would probably eat a boot if it were covered in it. The garbanzo bean salad and rice.. my goodness, I really do love their food. This is a great place for quick, delicious Mediterranean food. I love the bowls and always get mine with chicken kabob. My daughter got the beef shawarma wrap and it was also good. We also tried the flaming fries which are new and really enjoyed them. Our friends got the falafel balls and they were excellent. Best thing we ordered were the sweet potato fries. They were really good!! Taste the sweet potato. Not too greasy. Nice bite to them. Fluffy on the inside. Overall I would not order from here again. I am a fan of this location. Located at the corner of Coffee and Hageman in the Vins shopping center strip you will find ample parking as they have a corner spot. This is great because it gets kinda tight in there with the carls Jr, wing stop and Chipotle parking, so that's a plus. The restaurant is always clean before Covid And even more after. I ordered 3 meals from here for dinner. 1 meal was correct, 1 meal was made wrong, and the 3rd meal was missing. It took forever for them to answer when I called. They agreed to make the missing plate. I brought back in the one made incorrectly to show that it was incorrect and have them remake it. I've been waiting for over 15 minutes already for the remake and missing item. While the food typically tastes good, they get the order wrong more often then they get it right. After we ordered we sat down, the building is good size but it was a little cold in there. The food came quickly and the amount of food is good size. The chicken, rice, pita, and salad were great. My wife wasn't in the mood for that so I asked if she was down for Flame & Skewers since it's right next door to Chipotle. They let me know that it would be another 15 minutes for the shawarma. No biggie. We shared half of the chipotle and the shawarma plate. It was terrible. My wife is not picky at all and even she did not like it. The rice was still a a tad undercooked and slightly over seasoned. The chicken was dry. The Naan was a little rubbery as if it was not fresh. This is the place to get some delicious hummus and pita. Did you know they make their own pita in house? I didn't and have been buying it for years. Today, we didn't get chicken shwarma, they usually run out later in the evening so get some when the mood hits. They have it on a vertical spit like you'd see al pastor in a taco place. Due to Lent, we just got a large hummus, comes with 2 pita, and purchased 4 additional pita. It's so satisfying because the hummus is creamy and you can taste the tahini. The pita is soft and thick. Ate here for lunch customer service was amazing, Alex was very helpful and attentive to us. Food was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

We moved to Colorado and always come to Flame & Skewers when back in town to visit family. We were so disappointed this time, no more Siracha sauce, pita bread thicker, smaller and harder and the pickles were non existent on the sandwich. They will give you pickles if you ask. I know food has gotten expensive but I would pay extra to have it the way it was, not mediocre like it is now!
