Spring break means errands and mom and son lunch out, in the middle of a Wednesday! I have quite the picky eater with me 99% of the time so I don't get to go where I want 99% of the time. But that's to one of the biggest kids menus I've seen, I was able to talk my son into some real restaurant food and not fast food for lunch. It was not busy at all. The hostess was really friendly and so was our waiter. We were immediately sat and given waters. I went with the poke salad and it was so good! Very filling and a lot bigger than it seems in the photo. The amount of tuna was great,they definitely did not short me on my dish. My son got the kids cheese pizza and he was very impressed by the stringiness of the cheese. It also came with a decent amount of fries and fruit. He also loved the dragon fruit lemonade. The lighting was a bit dark but the music was great and my son enjoyed watching the Dodgers play on one screen and music videos on another. Definitely going back soon! read more

The staff here is hands-down the best I've experienced at any Yard House, and honestly some of the best I've seen at this level of dining. From start to finish, every interaction was exceptional. We chose to sit at the bar since we enjoy seeing what drinks others are ordering and asking questions about anything that catches our eye. The bartenders were fantastic knowledgeable, approachable, and happy to answer questions. At one point my wife needed to use the restroom, and they even offered to walk her over so she wouldn't miss it, which was a really thoughtful touch. We ordered the queso dip during happy hour, and as usual, Yard House's happy hour menu did not disappoint. It's generous, well-priced, and hard to go wrong with. We recently dined in for the first time. Yard House has been in Bakersfield for about 5yrs and even though I probably pass this place almost everyday I never made it out til recently. I didn't know what to expect when coming in because I figured it's gonna be a similar atmosphere like the neighboring restaurants and it was. They have music playing overhead kind of loud, but I'm all for it. They're rocking out to a lot of 90s R&B so I can definitely get down with that . Service was okay. The staff was nice, we didn't interact with staff a whole lot, but our experience was still great. The restaurant is clean which is a plus! I also didn't really know the types of food on their menu, but I did notice they have a lot of Asian menu items which was up my alley haha. My husband always tells me I always pick Asian restaurants hence the fact that I'm Asian, but it's not true.... I like all kinds of places. I definitely wanna try other things on their menu. So far from everything I have tried, I haven't eaten anything I didn't like. I'm actually impressed I have liked everything here which is very rare. I plan to come back and try other items here. I really enjoyed the sauce and I like that they had ginger and tomato garnish under it and some radish pieces. I thought it was overall really good and I like the thickness of it. It wasn't too thick. It wasn't too thin and then I also ordered the lavender lemon drops and that was a pretty good drink. It comes with Tito's vodka, which I like and it was a nice refreshing cocktail. My son ordered the sliders and for a kids portion. For a chain restaurant I'm happy with this place. Giving it 5 stars for a chain at least in Bakersfield. The servers, hosts, chefs, and everyone are really friendly and accommodating. The food is actually really good. We've tried everything, from sandwiches, to pizzas, to appetizers and have never been disappointed. Some of my favorites are the garlic shiitake noodles, the meat pizza, and they make a really great turkey club sandwich. The little sliders with fries are a really good snack too! We stopped by on a Sunday evening with a group of six. Ruby, the hostess, warmly greeted us and added us to the waitlist. She estimated a 30-minute wait for a table, which was quite accurate. After a few minutes Kirsten greeted us. She informed us that our server was busy but they worked as a team so she would get us started. Kirsten was incredibly friendly and promptly brought our drinks. Not long afterwards Holly, our server, arrived to take our food orders. She was just as pleasant and efficient. We kicked things off with the spicy edamame, which is a must for our group. Perfect level of heat, super flavorful, and gone way too fast. I opted for a smoked old fashioned cocktail, which is my go-to drink when I'm not trying one of their many draft beers. For my main course, I decided to try the bleu and bacon burger. It was exactly as described. The meat was cooked to my desired temperature, and the bacon was crispy. The only downside was that my vegetarian friend ordered Gardein wings but received chicken instead. This has unfortunately happened to her multiple times at this restaurant. She now makes me try her food first whenever we dine here to ensure she's doesn't get meat on accident. All that said, solid service, great drinks, and food that keeps us coming back. Six of us ladies come through Yard House for our individual birthdays together and have enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We love the food and we love sharing the dishes, family style. Every waiter and waitress have been very outstanding in their service for us and their personalities were wonderful. We sit outside in the open restaurant area even if it's very hot. We just enjoy ourselves together there. Inside is quite noisy and the music is very loud. I always loved Yard House I think it's the best option to go to if you're deciding where to eat near riverwalk. I've always had excellent customer service , especially today our server was so sweet and patient with us and she even brought us refills on drinks even when we didn't ask, brought multiple dipping sauces for us to try, and always checked on us but not too much. The food is amazing. Their Mac and cheese is so flavorful. Their alcoholic drinks are always top tier. I just have nothing negative to say. It's not very often you get to wind down for some Yard House mid week, so when my daughter wanted to treat me, I gladly accepted. Even on a random Wednesday Yard House was still alive, fortunately my daughter had arrived a bit earlier so we didn't have to wait to be seated. Our waiter was all business, but he was polite. Being that I was at Yard House, of course I would be unable to continue the evening without first starting out with an order of the spicy garlic edamame Such a simple appetizer but always very tasty. For my meal I thought I would try a new item on the menu, the Twisted Fettuccine Alfredo. I also made a small alteration and added chicken and shrimp. Everything was cooked really well. The pasta, shrimp and chicken were all of good quality, but I felt as if the flavor just wasn't there. Very neutral and rather plain. From the host, to the many bartenders Who tended to us, to the manager, to a waitress just passing by who grabbed me extra soy ginger sauce for the poke nachos(my favorite) The Hubs ordered. Every staff member I interacted with gets 5 stars from Me. Along with the chicken and poke nachos My husband ordered the sliders and fries. Now Mother was not overreacting regarding the quantity of food Yard House serves. My husband got 5 sliders and a rather large basket of French fries for under $8. These and the chicken nachos get 3.5 stars, due to their lack of flavor, the meat on the nachos-delish. However, the beans on the nachos tasted like they were served straight from the can with no doctoring up, and the guacamole looked delicious, but failed to offer that kick; the sliders need some special sauce and grilled onion added to them and they could very likely become a 5. The poke nachos earns 5 stars off top. The wonton chips and ahi tuna- super fresh, all of the sauces on those- bomb. All I added was extra soy ginger sauce. We will be back again to try their pizzas and a few other items off their massive happy hour menu. read more

Easy dinning at yard house. We sat on the patio which wasn't too hot and all the tvs were on the game so we were happy about that. We ordered a turkey club, sweet potato fries, chicken tenders with kale Caesar salad and had a beer each and then shared a final beer. Our server was a little slow because there was a BIG party in our section, we were fine taking it easy. These days we aren't in a rush eating out if we have a babysitter and the toddler isn't with us. We like taking out time and enjoying our meal. Who can't love a decent chain restaurant? I have never been let down at this place, the four times I've visited this location. From apps, drinks, and entrees this place doesn't disappoint. The wait time has never been astronomical and they do it the right way, with a longer estimated wait time, with an actual wait time of 15-20 minutes earlier. The place is noisy. Just know, any place that serves beer in the measurement of feet, it's going to be louder than most. They have a GIANT beer selection, with a selection as if you're at a fine dining establishment with that giant wine list. They also have a full bar, with a decent drink selection for that as well. Good they're all over the place. They have a huge starter menu, to go along with that beer menu. They travel across the globe, when it comes to their dining options. I've sadly haven't strayed from my Korean BBQ Cheesesteak the last two times. I don't think they have a bad menu item. To circle back around; the restaurant is clean and well maintained, the menu items for drinks and food is vast but easily manageable and the prices are fair for market value. I visited Yard House for the first time. I went during the weekend around 4:30 and it was pretty busy (45-60min wait). They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good, I ordered a burger. It was cooked perfectly, but it did seem a little small for the price. The apps were also good. Onion rings were cooked perfectly and had a nice crunch. Pretty outstanding selection of beer! Wife had a tasty Mezcal cocktail called "It's Mezmerizing", very tasty for chain restaurant cocktails. We had the Shittake Garlic Noodles, Poke Stack, Spicy Crispy Chicken sandwich and tacos Vampire style. It's was all very good - service was super fast. Our wait said 30 minutes, but they had us seated in 10. This one was also better than the Santana Row one which is surprising because it's Bakersfield.
