Great burrito! Ordered for a delivery at 10:20pm and got it by 15 minutes. Wasn't heavy for a late snack to split with the girl friend.

I was working down the street and the colors caught my eye. I went inside I like the atmosphere and service. The food was great had a specialty shrimp BTO damn thing was over 12" long and felt like it was over a pound. Great hot sauces on the side to add on. More of a weekend kind of place. I went on a Tuesday night and it was dead. I ordered a shrimp burrito which was area reasonable size. The Shrimp inside was mildly spicy just the way I like it personally. They have cool deals such as free Mimosa for lunch and good prices on drinks. I would give it more stars, but I placed an order for delivery and my total was 8.70. I was told that they have an min credit card balance of 10.00, so I ordered a soda. The person on the phone then said your total is 9.76. so I had to order another thing. I mean really? .24 cents you're going to worry about. Come on people.... what happened to customer service. Very authentic everyday Mexican. Nachos are delicious however all nachos are better in house than delivery (obviously). If you are hungry then this is the place to eat because the burritos are at least two meals. Portions are huge. All employees are extremely friendly and delivery was fast. Food was hot upon arrival. They will give you any side of sauce when asked for. My husband has carvings for Taco Bell which is terrible however the food here is cheap and extremely tasty. Satisfies the craving! So I really like Flaming Burrito (have ordered from there a million times), have not ordered from there in a month or so, when I did the portion of my quesadilla was cut in half!!!! and the container of sour cream smaller and the bag of chips also significantly less (they bag the chips themselves). Burn That Burrito then lie to me please... Okay first trip here and last. I order take out. I see a pan go aflame and smoke fills the place. 3 firetrucks come to stop the piercing alarm I sat through. I asked the guy, hope that was not my steak burrito, he laughs and says no. I get home - sure enough burned... Also the enchilada dumb down [platter of two with a TON of rice] - horrible and pricey. To top it off there was enough salsa for 1/4 of burrito and they would not substitute out a vegetable for beans in the burrito BUT they would charge me $3 extra for some what looked like grocery store bagged veggie salad mix. Worst experience ever...On Nov 6, 2018 I decided to go eat at the restaurant, with my luck I found parking in front of the establishment. Was then approached by the delivery personnel of Flaming Burrito who stated that the public street parking I parked at, was his spot. I didn't say anything and just entered the restaurant when I was then approached by the staff who pretty much kicked me and my date out because we had parked in the "delivery guys spot" Waitress stated we couldn't park there because it was a fire zone. There were no signs and clearly the delivery personnel just stated it was his spot we had just taken. We stated to the waitress that we were here for dinner and then the waitress gave us an attitude. To avoid further issues we left. I've never been to a restaurant where they had such poor and unprofessional personnel working. Would not recommend this place due to it's staff! read more

This place dropped a menu in my mailbox and we decided to give it a try. How pleasantly surprised we were! We came in a picked a spot near the window and were greeted with some very yummy homemade salsa and good hearty chips. We ordered our food (veggie burrito, steak burrito and guacamole) and went across the street to pick up some beers to enjoy with our food. The staff was even nice enough to store our beers in the fridge for us and knew how to open the beer with a spoon! Food was very fresh and very fast and you can actually look into their kitchen which looked super clean. Four stars for the lack of the overly abundant cilantro always present in Mexican food. As a fan I say bring on the cilantro in giant heaps! Will definitely go back. read more

First off- this little restaurant's food is as good as it gets. Don't believe the bad reviews* (I'll get to those later). My wife and I have been fans of FB since it opened. The ingredients are always fresh, and the seasonings used in the meats (carnivore here) are delicate and delicious. We always go through a couple of rounds of chips and salsa as the free appetizer. The salsa, made there and wonderfully seasoned, is among the best I've ever had. I'm a steak guy, so I tend towards their Steak Fajita- which is 2 die 4. Flaming Burrito is not a fancy place. It's a small start-up restaurant with a very engaging and helpful staff. The ambiance is home-made neighborhood style. I find it charming. We go there for the food (5-star) and the service (ditto). And here's my basis for comparison: 25 years ago I used to hang at Taqueria Morelia in East Oakland, California- a funky place legendary for its food (and for the beer commercial that was filmed there). Yes, Flaming Burrito is as good as Taqueria Morelia was. *I'm not sure what planet Brad M. lives on, but but "overpriced and nothing to write home about," when paired with his praise of Charittos, sounds more than a little suspicious. I've heard great things about Charritos, will go there soon, and post a companion review here. Without exaggeration, I'll let you know if you actually get "Twice as much food... for the same price." Dishonestly dissing a restaurant to drive traffic to a nearby one fools no one- as the majority of reviews here prove. UPDATE_UPDATE_UPDATE As "Brad M." suggested, I went up the street to Charritos. First, a few comments about Brad: 1. He doesn't know his numbers. FB's burrito is $2 less than C's- not "the same price." 2. Brad doesn't understand the concept of volume. C's burrito is wider and flatter; FB's is longer and rounder. The shape fooled Brad- probably the same volume. 3. C gives rice and beans along with the burrito. This is what Brad was referring to with "twice as much food." For $2 more, C gives you rice and beans on the side (and very good beans, at that). You don't get these distinctions from Brad's review- and are incorrectly left thinking that FB's Burrito is poor, and that you get 2x food from C at the same price. None of this is true. A hit job- pure and simple. Charritos has a lot to like. But the shredded steak burrito was very mushy- very dense, everything with a similar consistency. The flavor was quite good- but none of the ingredients stood out on its own. Other dishes passing by on the way to other tables looked much better- and I'll try some. The salsa was good, but not great, and the chips weren't snappy fresh, like at FB. Brad needs to learn the concepts of volume, quantity, and price- not to mention fairness. Again, the reason I went to such lengths here is that FB is a GREAT little start-up. I can't sit around and let it be dissed by someone determined to be unfair- and sloppy in the process. Desiree's review is just plain confused. If you don't like Tofu sour cream (I don't either), just get the regular stuff. The steak (my favorite) is slightly carbonized, so it is not the soft tender meat that some like. This is not to say that it is tough- not-at all. It is firm- and delicious. I happen to make jerky- excellent jerky- but FB's steak is firm, and my jerky is tough. Bottom line- Flaming Burrito is a neighborhoodish little place with a great staff, featuring delicious food made from the freshest ingredients, at prices I find to be quite low. If anyone else agrees that Brad and Desiree are WAY off-base here, speak-up! (PS, I have no financial interest in FB at all. I just love this little place, want to see it get the recognition it truly deserves, and believe that at least one of the earlier reviews is not quite honest.) Edit1 read more

This was the blandest food I've ever tasted. I tried the mexican rice, the nachos and two grilled chicken tacos. The nachos were just bizarre. I expected the cheese to be some sort of queso dip, but instead I just got tortilla chips with melted cheddar cheese on top. It was not enjoyable. The tacos were absolutely flavorless except for the faint taste of being burnt! They don't season their chicken, and there wasn't much cheese on their either. The mexican rice was nothing special.
