Went here Sunday for lunch with the hubs. Was extremely excited to see such a vast selection of items on the buffet as well as a sushi and hibachi station especially out in Frederick. The prices weren't bad at $10.99 a person but didn't include drinks which was fine. We were seated and asked what we wanted to drink and told to go ahead to the buffet. I made a plate of hot food and another plate full of sushi. When I got to the table the hubs was already eating. He asked me if everything tasted the same. At the time I was eating my sushi which wasn't too bad for a buffet. He said it tasted like everything was fried in the same oil. He also said the fried shrimp tasted like they were the frozen kind you'd buy at a grocery store. Needless to say he barely are his small helpings on his plate, definitely not $10.99 worth. I started to eat my hot items and knew exactly what my husband was talking about. The food was mediocre at best but I don't like to waste food so I tried to eat as much as I could. I went back for some fried wings and a bowl of soup. After that I was pretty much done. The service was like any other buffet and decide wasn't too bad. I have always loved the Flaming Grill & Buffet on 40 but after tonight I will never go back and I wanted to share what happened. I went in with friends along with our children's. About 45 minutes into dinner my 3 year old complained that her tummy didn't feel good. She then said she needed to throw up. I tried my best to get her to the bathroom but failed miserably. She ended up throwing up from the table to the bathroom which passes the buffet. It was a nightmare and a mess. Not 1 staff member came to check on her when the whole restaurant knew what was going on. The managers where unapologetic and said that it was not their food that made my daughter sick it was the fact that I over fed her. The manager then proceeded to call my friends daughter who is 10 fat because she said her stomach wasn't feeling right either. They then threatened to call the police if we did not get out of the restaurant because we were upsetting their guest. Even though my child threw up and it clearly got on their floor it got on the buffet floor it got on some of the buffet dishes because I was carrying her running to the bathroom they still continued with dinner service. I don't get how this is 3 stars... This place is amazing. The food is pretty darn fresh for being a buffet. Prices are cheap and the servers are really friendly. Mild language barrier issues here and there, but that's to be expected. I wish they had bleu cheese for the salad bar but that's not really the reason I go there. I hit the hibachi twice every visit because hey, why not make the most of it? I'm not a sushi guy but I hear it's solid for the price/buffet style. read more

Very good. Inexpensive ..all you can eat for 11 bucks I thought was great. Food was fresh and there was a great variety. You can get pre prepared or have them grill you up a stir fry from a bunch of raw ingredients. Service was very nice and it was clean. For buffet food it was one of the best I've had. read more

Improvements have been made and our visit this evening was quite enjoyable. The sushi was fabulous and i could have filled up entirely on that. But yummy coconut shrimp, mushrooms and chicken and hot and sour soup were calling my name. Calamari was old or over cooked, hard to say which. Hubby loves the dessert selection. read more

The best thing about this place are the stuffed shrimp. However, there is not as much food variety. Out-of the two times have been in this place, the waitresses have been extremely rude. My friend and I were on our second plate and the waitress kept asking us if we were done. It felt as if we were been kicked out. If you like buffets then this is the place for you. There are a few good ones in town, but the selection here tops them all. On top of that, the hibachi and sushi sections stand out as truly exceptional. The only downside is the price on the weekend, which can hit 11 dollars and change due to the seafood selection. The wait staff is friendly and will be about what you expect at a buffet: quick to fill drinks and take plates. The food is swapped out often and there is rarely any dishes left mostly empty. On the food side the 1 downside is no soft serve ice cream. They make up for it by having a huge desert section with ice cream in cups along with cakes and pies...but I still want soft serve! read more

The staff is always helpful and quick with refills, the table is instantly cleaned for you (NEVER had issues with plates taken too early), and te buffet is promptly filled- unlike others that force every piece to be consumed before refilling. If you go in knowing it is a $10 buffet, it's a great deal and the food is good! The sushi IS hand made in front of you and you can get $10 worth in that alone! I love this place and it's great!!! I went there for the first time on a Saturday and they were serving the lunch buffet (it was 2:30 pm) I was looking for the oysters but after asking about them, did I learn they only serve that for dinner. The receptionist told me they would be bringing them out soon. When the oysters were brought out, I went over to help myself to them, only to be approached by the manager and was told I could not have them, because I paid for lunch and not dinner...how appalling and embarrassing it was. Probably one of the best Chinese buffets in the area, and that includes Montgomery County. The restaurant is clean, the food is fairly good and there's plenty of it. Inexpensive! I LOVE the sushi here! Best for sit down. Good for kids. The workers are always nice. I've been there over 20 times..no I'm not obese. They offer to-go boxes that are weighed at 5.99-6.99 a lb. Great for a quick lunch. Best place to go when you have the munchies. And yes they offer alcohol. read more

Terrible experience. Pricing was deceiving food wasn't good and management is poor. Deciding to treat my mother to a Mother's Day and this is where she wanted to go. After we got the bill they decided to mark up the pricing just because of it being Mother's Day instead of giving a special for mothers. Management wouldn't work with us at all. Before last night I would have given this restaurant 4 stars as far as Chinese buffets go, after last night I don't even feel like it deserves the one star I had to give it. Can we say ROACH how about 3 inch, huge. ugly ROACH crawling up my back, more about that in a minute. Before last night I highly recommended this restaurant. I have been with my family, my church family and my clients many times. In fact I was there yesterday because I convinced my daughter and son-in-law who don't care for these types of buffets to come. Most of the food was ok but a lot of the item were luke warm and even hardened because it was left out too long. We were there on a Sunday night 3 hours before closing. Service was the worst we had ever received. I'm not sure if our server was faking it or not but she acted like she didn't understand a word we were saying. We were seated in the back room. Servers who were apparently trying to get off work took up a table next to ours and started rolling their silver ware and doing their side work, ultimately they turned on their music on their phone and started playing it so loud that we had to raise our voices to talk over it. Our server I believe was trying to get out of there too. While we were still eating she put the check on the table. Not necessarily bad, but she came back six times while we were still eating and picked up the bill plate from the table. We had to tell her each time no it's not ready yet. One time that she tried to pick up the bill, my son-in-law who had a full plate in front of him asked her for another soda. She gave him a look that could kill and then said something to the other servers at the table next to us. My son-in law questioned her about her reaction because he thought maybe he had done something wrong. She acted like she couldn't understand what he was saying. The last time she came back for the bill was the worst. Just before she came to the table to collect the bill again my son-in-law noticed that huge ROACH crawling up my back, my husband swiftly brushed it off of me as I jumped out of my seat. We couldn't tell where it had landed (was it on my jacket hanging behind my seat, still on my clothes or worse on my husband). The server came up as I jumped up, once again to collect the bill. My daughter was paying with a credit card. The server picked up the bill and told my daughter, (who was also standing at this point and starting to check the clothes of my grand children who had been playing in the corner) that she needed to sign the bill. My daughter told her that instead of worrying so much about the bill could you help us figure out where that Roach went!? The server walked away and said nothing! Needless to say we were done! Even though we were still on dessert and coffee, we were not staying another second. I asked to speak with the manager and told him only about the ROACH. He acted like he didn't believe us and simply apologized and walked away. So with that said I recommend you simply walk away from this restaurant. read more

My opinion is this is a medium quality Chinese buffet that is fairly priced with a good level of variety the only problem I find is that if you eat lunch there often times you can get cold food presumably because they don't heat up the leftovers from the day before read more

Wonderful food however....be aware that they will charge you and if you don't tip, they'll add one on after. My husband went out with a friend last night and was charged $27.93 on the card, no tip (bad server). Checked the card this morning and was charged $33.93. This is unacceptable!
