You can pick up to 2 broths so we had duck and short ribs which were both excellent with lots of herbs mixed in. Just a few of the great meat and seafood selections include Argentine shrimp, snow crab, and lobster. They also have live shrimp available so if you're squeamish I suggest skipping that one or asking for the dead ones. Unusual name huh? Weird Chinese people lol Some very good pros about this place. Free parking out front but you may be asked to move your car later if someone needs to get out. Service was good - I've never had a hot pot place where our server actually pushed us to order more. The froth was occasionally removed from our dual broths (which is included in the price). Non-alcoholic beverages were self serve and included. The online menu is pretty extensive even though the English translations of ingredients aren't very good. However, most people we interreacted with were pretty Tri-lingual (Cantonese, Mandarin, and English). Sauce bar definitely needs English labels. Other pluses is that you get an option of having a Sashimi platter (which was just ok - the oysters on it were placed vertically so no more juice) or lobster which is also unheard of, but may be because the restaurant is fairly new as this offer isn't written anywhere I don't think. But I think the biggest plus is the unlimited snow crab legs - which is what a lot of old Chinese ladies really go for because it's "the most expensive thing". Came here a few weeks ago and was super excited to try another premium hot pot place. They had big shoes to fill considering how much I love Chongqing Wharf. First off it was really difficult to communicate with our server because we are Cantonese speaking and she was mandarin speaking. English also didn't seem to be much of an option. We opted to pay credit card so we got the conch raw items for free. If we paid cash I think we get something else for free but didn't understand what she was saying. The seating wasn't the best because we only got one pot with two soup flavors to share, so each person didn't have their individual pot. The items come out really cute in these gridded boxes but it made the table really tight and limiting in how much can be at the same at a time, the rations were also rather small given the gridded boxes. I did enjoy the variety of clams they had - razor clams, (Atlantic and pacific) and also I think steamer clams. The clams were all really good. Abalone came with the free items as well and boiler was really good. We ordered a ton of snow crab legs but they were so frozen it wasn't enjoyable...until we started boiling them in the hot pots. It didn't have a strong soupy flavor so it ended up working out but we only started doing this towards the end. At Chongqing they come out at the perfect temperature to slurp right away. Dessert was a legit drumstick ice cream if you asked for chocolate. If you asked for strawberry I think you get a strawberry bar with no noticeable brand on it. My new favorite hotpot spot!! I got the Special Mushroom broth (my favorite) and the Pepper Pork Tripe broth. They were both very flavorful, even though I prefer the mushroom one a lot more. Everything was very fresh and the service was better than expected. The waitress came to our table multiple times to skim off the foam, and checked if we wanted to add anything else to our order. I also loved the pumpkin cake appetizer - ended up ordering them three times! I was worried about parking, but the restaurant had parking spots for customers and there was actually a lot of spots around the area. The interior design is also very modern. I came on a weeknight so there was no wait at all for dinner. We had a great experience, mostly attributed to the friendly waitress who spoke both English and Mandarin/Fuzhounese. She was very accommodating and attentive and we even got to try a new appetizer that they were testing: fried salt pepper shrimps. The fried wings were decent and tasty. There were a few dishes that were not great but overall we had a good meal, and the price was a hefty price tag but I guess is standard for AYCE premium hot pot. But that's okay, they were resilient and opened up in a new location with a broader menu and kept the quality. Asides from the food, you will also appreciate the decor. The cost per person is about 50% higher than the rest of the AYCE, but it's within reason. They have a large variety off seafood offerings and drinks is included (non-alcoholic). I visited this restaurant with a friend. We found the food to be okay, but nothing special. There is about 1-2 servers per table, mostly speaking mandarin. After we were seated, a waiter with multiple hickeys asked us cash or card, which I found to be very rude. We didn't even order and it feels like they are demanding a payment already. Additionally, servers miss our order SEVERAL times. Very awkward having to reorder multiple times for the same items..... the labels at the sauce station is not clear.
