Been here several times and I've only had great experiences! Haven't tried every dish they offer, but would love to get the hot pot the next time. Sushi is always fresh, and I just stick to that mostly. We've also taken advantage of the free lobster offer. Not the freshest lobster ever but it was still pretty good. I just fill up on their nigiri and all the fun drinks they have.

Wow!! Very impressed with this buffet. Very clean, friendly service and the food 10/10 Crab legs won't boiled like most buffet, it was in a garlic sauce which added to the amazing taste. The crab legs just kept on coming out. The sushi was very fresh and tasted great.would definitely be back!!

The walnut shrimp was good. Had it 3 times

Service is good, everything looked clean. Pretty standard buffet, with a lot of good options. The weekday lunch is a pretty good deal. I had 3 plates and some dessert. No frills and thrills, just a Chinese buffet with decent food. I gave 4 stars because they were attentive and kept cleaning my plate quickly. Overall would go but nothing impressive for lunch. I'm sure dinner is much better. Sushi quality was good, nothing was warm or had an odor. Fish smelled good to eat, nothing alarming. I would go back again. They also have free parking in front if you are driving. There's an Aldi supermarket so the parking lot gets busy.

The jersey location was way better. The buffet selection was nearly 2-3x bigger. The quality of items were also better. Again at the buffet the only thing that caught my attention was the beef short ribs, roasted beef, cheesy mussels, shrimp, clams, and snow crabs. The roasted beef was new here and not at nj location, it was really good! The short ribs are great as always. Seafood was really meh. There were soooo many assortments of shrimp actually and the honey coconut shrimp was crispy yet juicy. The snow crabs were a huge miss as the crabs shells were way tougher at this location and I was unable to crack it with my bare hands like I was able to at the last location. The meats were also more stuck to the shell and smaller quantity. The dessert section was also very lacking as the ice cream were cheap and similar to the public school cafeteria ice cream I've had vs Jersey location had such a wide assortment of branded ice creams like Haagen Daz and the drinks here were ok but nj location had much wider assortment and better quality. The ramen was not great at either location though, this one had a funky smell and taste. I'd definitely recommend the other location over this one. For $40 dinner buffet it's honestly alright and worth a try if you're in the area but it's definitely not the best if you're not a hardcore beef/seafood fan

First time trying Umi they definitely have a large variety to choose from including (hot pot, sushi, and cold bar) . My kids love buffets so they definitely enjoyed it. Wish they had more variety of cooked sushi but definitely worth giving them a try.

I ordered fried chicken and got what looked like a forensic case study. The inside was way too colorful, the texture made no sense, and one bite killed my appetite. Staff were rude, dismissive, watched us the whole time, and never even asked about refills. Not a meal an experience I didn't ask for.

Been here many times and each time the food gets better. No complaints about the food and atmosphere

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too packed. We did have to go up to the second level of parking because the ground floor was packed out. There was a decent amount of people yet the food wasn't being rotated quick enough. So the hot foods would sit there and end up being cold and crusty. The fried or battered items were too battery. You have to bite into 3 centimeters of super hard fried skin to get to the actual meat. Even with some of the sushi, you can tell it was sitting there for a while. Even if it was meant to be cold, the rice got hard over time. I also wish they labeled the items because I didn't really know what I was eating. I will admit there is an array of items on their menu for a Brooklyn buffet. Even their drinks varied and I loved getting to try different ones. The grapefruit one was refreshing. They have dessert like cheesecake, tiramisu, and gelatin. The banana pudding was my favorite.

The food area has a wide selection of meats, seafood, sides, desserts and they can even cook your selection on the hibachi style grill. This place is great if you're a seafood lover. I really wanted to try a bit of everything but there was so much food that it was a bit overwhelming. I would say that the majority of the seafood I tried was pretty good. The various styles of shrimp were my favorite. The salmon was also very good. I was not really impressed with the sushi roll options as it was pretty much California rolls and I don't eat imitation crab. My only minor complaints are that I wish some of the dishes had labels listing the ingredients since I was confused about some of the food. I understand that buffet food is not going to be piping hot but the majority of the food was lukewarm. The service was limited but friendly.

One thing I will say, whenever you go with kids, go with then and help them at the buffet serving themselves. Some parents I witnessed tended to be oblivious when watching their kids. Otherwise, the place was all good. When paying, I told them one adult one child and they charged my kid the adult rate. I'll let that slide one time so when paying, check and make sure you pay what you are supposed to pay. Good for groups and a date, can be slightly intimate in some sections.

We ended up at our neighborhood buffet, which has been around since my high school days. There's something nostalgic about walking through those doors again. I'd fully planned to snap pics and do a proper foodie breakdown (charged my phone and everything!), but once we were seated, all bets were off. The food? Not five-star, but it's fresh--and that matters. The high customer turnover keeps the trays rotating constantly, so nothing ever feels like it's been sitting. The fruit station gets points for presentation--everything looked washed and vibrant (though I gave a few pieces the side-eye just in case ). For under $30, it hit the spot. However, when we arrived, nobody was at the front counter, so we walked to the inside counter to ask to be seated. The front desk guy clearly just came in for his shift since he was hurrying on his cell phone, carrying bags and had his jacket on. He came over looking very busy and disheveled, and when my mom politely asked if we should wait here to be seated, he rudely responded, "Well if there's no one at that counter then you come to this counter if you see the sign." Meanwhile... there was no sign saying that when we left. My mom was just asking a simple question, so the attitude was unnecessary. Just because you're stressed or running late doesn't mean you take it out on customers. F him for being rude to my nice mom and never coming to this place again. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre overall, that experience left a bad taste. The sushi selection had a good variety, and the desserts were honestly the best part. They have a chocolate fondue station plus vanilla, matcha, and swirl soft serve ice cream machines. At least the place was clean. Also, the waitress gives you a parking discount before you leave, so don't forget to ask.
