From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the outdoor patio made the experience even better. It's the perfect place to unwind with friends, celebrate, or enjoy a date night. The food was delicious, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. Their cocktails were just as impressive, and if you're into hookah, they have that too. The live DJ kept the energy going, creating the perfect balance of a laid-back brunch and a fun day out. Whether you're stopping by for Sunday brunch, dinner, or just drinks on the patio, Lé Chai delivers a great overall experience. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. If you haven't been yet, add this one to your Brooklyn list.

I bought my niece here for her birthday based off a recommendation from a friend. I was instantly impressed when we walked in by the decor. The low lightening and the vibe def set the mood. Our server was great and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu, always checked on us and made great conversation. Food was great! I got the drunken noodles with shrimp. The portions were great and I had left overs for the next day. The only reasons I couldn't give me this restaurant 5 stars was because 1. It was soooo hot in there. I don't know what happened to the AC that day but the restaurant was stifling 2. The pricing on the menu was deceptive. On the side of the regular menu, it states the prices of the dish. You get to pick a protein but it fails to state how much additional the dish would be with the protein. I did enjoy my time here though and would recommend it to others.

The food was so good that I didn't even get a chance to take pictures before half of it was already eaten! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and despite being a small restaurant, they were incredibly busy with dine-in customers, delivery orders, and pickups. Even with the rush, the food came out quickly, and the team handled everything smoothly without missing a beat. The only downside was that I came with my toddler, and they don't have any high chairs. It made it a bit of a hassle to keep him seated while we ate. I also noticed another family dealing with the same issue. I highly recommend that they purchase at least a couple of high chairs to keep on standby for families with young children. Other than that, it was a great experience. If you are looking for good food this is it! Not the best ambiance, so you are looking for just good food this is it. The food was outstanding, the service was friendly, and the operation was impressively efficient. We will definitely be coming back!

The service was okay - it was obvious the server was brand new/still in training so I'm sure he'll get better and congrats to him on the new job! Btw, in case you were wondering this place is NOT Vietnamese-owned, or at least the server + the host + some workers in the back were not, or perhaps they're trilingual. In any case, I was a little sad about that because there really is a lack of good Viet food in NY so although other ethnicities are more than welcome to own places not of their own ethnicities, I was just hoping to find more Viet-owned Viet food businesses. That being said, I got pho bo vien (which I suppose now I know why there's no Vietnamese text on the menu... so this is the viet meatball pho??) and it was okay. Nothing bad, nothing special, probably a bit too pricey for what you get. I was hoping for some comfort food since this location is nearby. The broth was overall fine after adding some hoisin sauce and Sriracha. Unsure if I'll come again... the convenient location for me is probably the main selling point

Let's say, I was pleasantly surprised, and actually blown away! My family is Jamaican, so fusion isn't always my thing, but this restaurant did the most amazing job with all of the food! The proteins honored the culture, and the fusion elements actually mirrored my favorite Chinese Jamaican spot in Ocho Rios, so all of it honored its roots! ON TOP OF THAT, the vegetables were fresh and flavorful--not overcooked! Excellent. And the jasmine rice was the best rice that I have had anywhere in NYC. PERIOD. A chef that cares about the RICE is definitely putting his foot in the rest of the meal! I had to call back to get the name of Chef Bunny - I needed to know who COOKED that food! And Amanda was extremely helpful with taking our order and fixing a little boo boo in our pickup order. She had the incorrect item Lyft couriered to us - I appreciate the extra effort and expense, as I know restaurants have a tight profit margin. I will definitely be back to dine in - can't wait. Our group got the oxtail, jerk chicken, pineapple and basil fried rice, and the ORANGE chicken - I tasted and ate all - each one better than the next. And we topped it off with the bread pudding (and added Haagen Das and whipped cream at home).

The food was very fairly priced and the portions were huge. We got the pork soup dumplings, pork fried rice, szechuan chicken (which came with white rice), and pad see ew (which though not listed comes with pork, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was solid, but our favorite was the fried rice which had a ton of flavor. I liked the veggies that were in the chicken dish but there were just way too many of them compared to the chicken and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. The pad see ew wasn't made the traditional way I've had it with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It had some sort of orange sauce that tasted closer to a sweet and sour. It wasn't bad it was just not what I was hoping for. The soup dumplings were solid, no complaints there. And the fried rice was great, lots of flavor. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price but I'd probably order different things if I went back.

I found parking down the block and walked over to the restaurant. It seems like more of a delivery spot because there was no one inside sitting at any of the 5 tables. It's a fairly good size space, very simply decorated, mixed with a cool wall resembling a curio cabinet of treasures. I chose a spot in the middle and went to the restroom which was clean and simple. I noticed there were a lot of takeout orders, from delivery services to local folks picking up their regular dinner. I looked over the menu and decided on salt and pepper wings and an order of shrimp. Fried Rice came out first and it was delicious. I even tasted a hint of salted egg yolk mixed into the egg mixture friefried up with the rice that signature crispiness with the little saltiness.... fantastic. The salt and pepper wings were different than the ones i'm accustomed to though the flavor was amazing. It didn't have the fried garlic, peppers, chilis, and onions that i'm accustomed to being in the dish. They were still flavorful, juicy and crisp and I could tell they cooked them fresh. That was much appreciated. I ended up taking half of my food home because I was stuffed.Thank you Msm Ellen and the Crown Garden crew for a tasty solo dinner.

The service is impeccable, the wait staff is well versed in the menu and will offer help if you don't know how to truly get the best sandwich that you can. The star here is the roast beef sandwich, it's moist and flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. My suggestion is to order it with cheese and have it dunked in the au jus. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so. We were given a check with an accurate breakdown of what we ordered. Prices are posted. And yes -- cash only.
